Stayed in this hotel during July 2017 and had a great experience. The price was good and the service was also very good. Would recommend to anyone staying in this lovely city. There is also an excellent café/bar at the entrance to the hotel which was very nice.
Great location for exploring the city. A simple hotel but has everything you need and was kept clean. Reception were helpful. Car park is a multistorey very close by. I had a great week in Almería and recommend staying here for a good value hotel. Decor is business like but was fine. Air conditioning works a like dream.
Stayed here for 5 nights in the recent heatwave in Spain. The hotel was very good, the staff were all very helpful with local information and very pleasant. We were in room 504 as I had requested a high floor. Room was spacious with twin beds, and a nice bathroom. Free toiletries were provided in the bathroom, but the godsend was the fabulous air con. Not sure we would have survived the heatwave without it. There was also a minibar, which we used as a free fridge, again just what we needed. Breakfast was continental, but there were 3 cereals, various breads, fresh melon and pineapple, cold meats, scrambled egg and bacon and a selection of cakes and pastries. The location was great as all of the main tourist attractions were within easy walking distance as it is not a large city. Local buses were frequent and cheap, we went on a day trip to Roquetas de Mar for a couple of Euros each way. Only went in the bar once but drinks were reasonably priced. They allowed us a late check out at a cost of 15 Euros for an extra 4 hours, which given the heat was a bargain! We probably won't go back to Almeria as we have seen it, but if we did I would definitely stay here again.
We were in room 504 - small space and poor views from the window - but with a strain you can make out the Alcazaba. This hotel has been nicely refurbished in a modern style and is in a good location for visiting the Alcazaba - free to enter with fantastic views - and the Cathedral. Breakfast room and buffet were really good and staff helpful. The bar outside offers beer and tapas deals and there are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance.
We stayed at the Nuevo Torreluz for two nights and I found the staff helpful, the rooms comfortable and the breakfast buffet most acceptable. On our first night the hotel had an air conditioning problem so our room was unbearably hot. Keeping the windows open however also meant letting in the late night sounds of the local tapas and music bars until the early hours. But without prompting, the hotel switched us to an air conditioned room for the second daughter and did not charge us for our first night's stay which was very good customer service. The centre of America is very tight and parking is difficult, so it was good to know the Nuevo Torreluz had its own parking garage nearby which, although tricky to find the first time, was actually very close and convenient - although there was a charge of 11 Euros per day. The hotel bar also happens to be a very popular local tapas bar with excellent choices and a great atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay, despite the hot and noisy first night, and the location was great for sightseeing as it is close to the Cathedral and the Alcazaba.
This hotel is well placed for the key things in the centre of Almeria. The rooms are compact but perfectly acceptable. They are clean with all amenities including good quality free wifi. I think the sound proofing might be a little suspect, but as we had nobody making much noise near us it was difficult to confirm. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is excellent value especially if booked the day before at 6.50 euros. If you are driving, the car park is a nightmare to find. I would suggest that you park in the bay outside the front of the hotel and get somebody to take you there. Having said that it is easy to park, once found!! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel
Recently returned from a weeks stay at this hotel. Cannot fault it. Staff very helpful and courteous. Room was good with great shower Best thing about this hotel is it's position. Great for exploring this lovely city (only criticism would be its a shame about all the graffiti). Spent each morning walking the quaint maze of side street with wonderful tapas bars hidden away (thoroughly recommend las botos for traditional Spanish experience). Afternoons were spent on the beach. Were lucky enough to be there when artisan beer festival held - great night. Don't expect English to be spoken - try out your Spanish! Would love to return.
Very central location just next to the cathedral . Parking can be hard in local area but an excellent base with a good tapas bar linked to restaurant. Very nice area of this city . It is very good price for a little more I would suggest ac hotel which has an underground park and an swimming pool on the roof.
Good quality, clean hotel in a prime location for everything - shops, bars, restaurants, beach, cathedral etc. If you're English, don't expect a great breakfast, in fact if not included in your room rate, I'd walk a few metres & have churros & chocolate. Staff polite. Short walking distance from the most Spanish bar we have ever seen - Los Botos, which is fantastic. All in all a great place to stay. Been there twice & will be back again!
Stayed for 1 night on 11th April. Very good rate for room & parking. Car park was easy enough to find following the road signs & small multi storey but large parking spaces on the 3rd/4th floor just for hotel guests. We were early but got our room key straight away (always a bonus). Our room was large, clean & airy with a full bathroom. We had no meals but a few drinks & tapas in the terrace bar, Tasty & reasonably priced. Would stop there again if in the area. Reception staff were polite, friendly & helpful,
