A really good 4*hotel,located near well equipped air conditioned shopping mall a five minute cheap taxi to the sights & excellent beaches. With plenty of real Spanish bars & tapas bars on doorstep. Staffexceptuonally friendly & helpful excellent restaurant large comfortable quality rooms. Only downside is take your own travel kettle as no coffee or tea facilities in rooms otherwise 100%right!
Only a couple of minutes drive from Torrecardenas Hospital and directly opposite a big shopping centre. Accessible for wheelchair users with some rooms designated disability suitable - we tested it & it was perfect. Very clean, spacious and friendly in both public areas and bedrooms. Attentive and helpful staff, most of whom speak both Spanish & English, plus possibly other languages too. Bar service good range of light eats plus restaurant serving menu del noche. Only down side was that we had a family with a young child next door and could hear them until about 11.45pm, but not a deal breaker.
First impressions are frequently very telling and Jacqueline at the front desk was very friendly and very patient with all our questions and our change of plans about getting to the airport. The room was well appointed and clean. The only concern was a lack of tissues (Kleenex). Good value and location right across from a shopping mall.
We had 9 days with 1/2 board at the hotel Elba. What an amazing hotel . B/fast is excellent with a large selection of continental and cooked b/fast with cafe con leche (fresh coffee) Evening meals were first class very tasty food . Staff were the friendliest I have ever met and couldn't do enough on our stay . English t.v in our room made a difference as we had a couple of days rain in December so it was lovely to relax and rest . Positioned well for the motorway to cabo de gata . Has a large shopping mall called central de meditaranio which was great just across the road from the hotel . The city centre shopping centre was also within walking distance beautiful round trees line the streets with theatres, bars , shops what a wonderful place . The people on this side of the coast are so friendly .
We stayed for only one night during a two-week road trip around Spain. We had intended to travel farther north along the coast the following day so the location provided a good place to break up our driving. Access to the hotel was relatively easy. We stayed on a Sunday night, so the hotel and neighborhood were quiet, As other posters have noted, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We did not use the pool or any food & beverage facilities. In general, this is a solid 4* property and we would return if we were in the area. This hotel is not in the older "downtown" part of Almeria. but is about a 5-10 minute drive away. During our brief stay, we did not see any particular advantage to staying in, or even visiting, the older part of the city. So, as a rest stop, the Elba Almeria hotel worked well for us. The only thing that was off-putting was the energy conservation system in the common areas, such as corridors and garage. Lights there are activated by motion but we found that the motion detectors were triggered too late. That is to say, when the elevator door opened onto our floor, we were faced with almost complete darkness until we took at least four or five steps. Although we are two large males, this "leap of faith" entry into darkness could be very intimidating for female travelers. The hotel would do well to make adjustments to provide lighting immediately open the elevator door opening.
+We were given a superior room. It was a really nice, modern room; it deserves 4 stars. Easy to park on the underground parking. The wifi was ok. -Bad soundproofing. The first night was ok, but on the second we had noisy neighbours (with kids, although they advertise as a business hotel) and we had to change the room at midnight. Then, after one hour of quietness, we were awaken by other neighbours, who were just checking in at 1AM and wouldn't stop talking and making a lot of noise. That looked like a bad situation management from the reception staff, after we just changed the room and specified we need quiet to sleep. Then, again, we had to change the room at almost 3AM, after almost going to sleep in the car. This time, we had no neighbours, therefore the staff could have given that room to the new guests from the beginning and not disturb other people, considering the late hour.
We booked to stay for one night before flying back to UK and found the hotel very easy to find with good secure parking provided. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was large and well equipped. It is close to a great shopping mall which has a good selection of fast food restaurants on the first floor but it is a short drive to the town centre. Breakfast was very good with a choice of cooked and Continental food.
Its a good choice when You want convenience And basic confort. I think best for business travel. In adition to parking inside, there was plenty of space right in front of The hotel in plain midst of july! The breakfast is amazing, as there is a fresh Orange Juice machine available, which is rare. All in all, a good, Non-complication stay
Reasonable rates and good sized rooms. Friendly staff. Our room had one of the biggest bathrooms we've ever had ! When I requested a gluten free breakfast, they appeared with a large baguette and two chocolate buns. Fresh fruit salad was available too. Brilliant.
This was a stopover on the way to Morocco. This is a good standard and large hotel. I had reserved a parking place (extra fee) in the hotel. The room was really big, with two big beds and the bathroom is also quite huge :) Both very clean and tidy. All amenities were present. Service was professional, but not that warm in my opinion. We did not have dinner at the hotel. The dining room is not cosy at all as it is located in the same area as the lobby with (very) high ceiling and fitted with glass walls from floor to ceiling. So, you feel like in an aquarium, especially when it is dark outside. Enough alternatives anyhow at walking distance. Breakfast was A-OK. Good, but not...wow.
