After checking in the front desk clerk found me a luggage cart & directly me to the elevator to get to our second floor room. Imagine my surprise when I came to the end of the hall and found another set of stairs. It was very confusing but for some reason the second floor was separated and even though there was an elevator, the section our room was in was ONLY accessible by stairs. I though it was pretty crazy the clerk didn't tell us that we just needed to carry our luggage instead of watching us load it up, go out of our way to the elevator & then again back down to figure out what was going on & why we could get to our room with the luggage cart. The next day I was checking my bank account only to find out that the clerk had charged my card for a nights stay eventhough we had paid in full. I find it hard to believe that they can just charge someone without first informing you that a charge is going to be made & what the amount is for. When I went to the desk to inquire about this I was told that the clerk was new, didn't follow the correct steps at check in & had made a mistake. Again- why wasn't I told I was being charged?? I was also told it was just an authorization hold. unfortunately it took several days for this "hold" to drop off which made that money unavailable to us during that time. Very disappointed with this hotel! Wouldn't stay again.

Lobby was very nice. The hall to the room was VERY narrow. Room was functional but in need of some updates. AC system was weak, had to turn the thermostat to 60 deg to get the humidity out of the room. Could have used better located outlets for charging and computer. Breakfast buffet was better than expected.

For the price you cannot beat it. The hotel seemed a little older, but kept up well. It was quiet and very close and easy to get to Providence downtown. I would recommend it.

Very friendly staff, spacious rooms, very good breakfast to be included in room

Hotel was extremely dirty. The breakfast area was filthy. Dirty clothes with dried food were used to line the silverware baskets. Forks were not washed. Obvious food still on them. Bagel tray had stains on it. Fingerprints everywhere. Also food was not replenished. Staff was totally inadequate to handle this job. Plus there were all workmen materials that lined the entrance to the breakfast room. Very offputting. Hotel was loud and noisy. Could hear tv next door, kids slamming doors, and the person above us, talking on the phone. It was such an uncomfortable and disappointing stay. We paid 178 a night and it wasn't worth a third of that. Definitely a 1 star hotel. Do not stay here.

We stayed here during our trip to Edaville (Thomas Land), MA. The kids loved this hotel. The carpet in the entire property was a bit dated, but everything else - the breakfast, bed and pillow comfort, cleanliness of bathroom, amenities, hotel staff - were great! Ramada Inn once again lived up to it's name and showcased it's high quality product.

This is a moderate priced motel with clean rooms and clean bathrooms. It used to be a teaching facility for Johnson and Wales. It has changed hands a couple of times since, and has yet to be renovated. If appearance matters little to you, it is a good value, especially important in New England, which has expensive motel prices in the summer. We visit relatives and just need a place to stay at night, and a good breakfast, so it meets our needs.

Ok hotel, there are some water or sewage issues. The hotel staff was helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a ok window view. This is a no thrills or drills hotel. The have an Mexican restaurant located in the lobby area. I didn't get a change to try it out so no review. There was a fire scare that was not explained.

If you're looking for a clean room that's less expensive than downtown providence, but still convenient, this is a great option. The hotel itself is admittedly dated and the lobby smells like smoke. BUT the room was very acceptable, had no smell, was clean, and quiet. The breakfast buffet is severely lacking, so I recommend some place like the Salted Slate for breakfast instead. We saw one employee when we checked in, but that was it. The desk was empty the other times we walked by. Would probably still stay there again.

Clean, big room, great breakfast. Amable personnel at front desk, good Mexican restaurants besides the hotel.

This motel used to be the training motel for Johnson and Wales, and it still has clean rooms, with nice bathrooms. The included hot breakfast is still very nice. The rugs in the public spaces need to bed cleaned, however, especially the stairway. The central air conditioning for our section of rooms did not work properly, so we had to open the window (glad that was a possibility, as it had been hot that day and the room was very warm). Management will need to put some money into air conditioning and new carpeting if motel is to continue its good reputation. We requested a non-smoking room, but the pillows smelled like cigarette smoke. The person at checkout made note of that, and was pleasant about looking into it.

The first room we were given was a dinghy room on the first floor. The corridors were the narrowest we've ever seen. We asked if any rooms had been renovated and were moved to a bright room on the fourth floor. It was comfortable and clean. The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was fine.

I need to get in touch with the hotel about the window hardware in room 208. I'm sure it will be attended to before you get there.

From check-in to check-out, all members of staff, were consistently gracious & accommodating!

I reserved a king-sized bed but didn't get one. Couldn't turn down the air conditioning and room was way too cold. Breakfast seemed to have a decent selection but eggs were over done and cold. Breakfast sausage and hash also cold. Old plumbing. The faucet in the sink was very stiff. Finding and ice machine with any ice in it was an adventure. Finding an elevator from the rear entrance would have been easier if there was a sign.

This hotel was ok. We were traveling in the area, spent very little time at the hotel itself.

There is nothing wrong with the hotel. Maybe the location is a bit off the beaten path but otherwise not bad.

Hotel was decent and wasn't too far from downtown Providence, which is where we spent the majority of our time. Hotel staff was friendly, Would have enjoyed free breakfast, but otherwise, overall good stay.

The front desk person is very nice! The room is clean and comfy!

Short drive to Providence. A great substitute for staying in Providence, without the high price and expensive parking.

Thank you for your honest review, as far as the smoke, some guest violate the non smoking rule and it's hard to enforce at times, we are working on the breakfast issue to make it appealing to all. Hope to see you again.
