One of the best hotels I have stayed in the staff are all amazing helpful and curious. I stay at the travelodge on a regular basis. The breakfast girl could be a little more polite WiFi could be better
A very reasonable place that is very well done! The rooms are comfortable and nicely laid out. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious. Just a nice surprise for the dollar! I would recommend it!
Nice staff. Friendly, but won't go out of their way (which is ok). I got a kitchen suite. Ground floor. The first day was ok, but the second day the room refused to heat!! I was cold at night (I had put up the thermostat, but it refused to go beyond 65 degrees F). Apart from the bed and a table, there is NO place to put anything - no place to hang your coat or to keep any stuff that you need to. So once the table is full, use the chairs and then, of course, no work can happen. The staff was nice enough to get me an extra chair. The bathroom was really nice and they put very good quality toiletries. I was quite impressed with that. Good facilities - microwave, two burner induction stove, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, mini double door fridge. And full-length mirror and hair dryer. TV Pots, pans, glasses, cups, plates, spoons, knife, dishwashing soap etc, all well equipped. Though wifi was included, it did not work for a second. No possibility of hooking your computer to a cable connection. They said there was a problem with the provider just on the two days that I was there, so it was sad! But they did have a computer in the lobby that I could use and that worked. So as long as you remember all your passwords, you can work on a public system if you are ok with it. But for me, that was a really huge inconvenience. A continental breakfast is included in the stay, which is really nice. Cereal, fruit, juice, milk, yogurt, waffle maker, tea/coffee, muffin, bread. Honey, butter, cream cheese. Good breakfast. if I am on a budget, I will come back. But not otherwise. The heat, space, and internet are important things to make one feel comfortable.
I have stayed several times at this hotel, and my next visit to Prince George, I will return again. I have stayed alone, with my son, overnight stayed with my husky, and love how accommodating the front staff have been. Each time, I have received great service. I was double charged once, and the Manager was on it immediately. Good value for the money. A colleague opts for a much higher priced hotel on the main highway, so to avoid theft in this city; however, her vehicle was recently broken in to in the parking lot of that hotel.I have never had issue at the Travelodge during any of my visits. I recommend the Travelodge to all of my travelling colleagues. Great location to walk to restaurants and cinema, and Tim Horton's very close by. All the perks I need to return.
I cannot tell you how accomodating the staff was at this hotel. While the looks of the town itself left much to be desired in my opinion, the staff and people we met were above and beyond! I would stay at this hotel again and again! We left a bag with a brand new laptop, diamonds, pearls and many other valuables and the hotel went above and beyond to get it to us AND EVERYTHING was still in it!
Hockey tournament- was concerned about booking in downtown PG. Upon arrival to the hotel I was pleasantly surprised! A lot of thought went into renovations. Rooms were tastefully decorated, quiet and comfortable. We had the hospitality kitchen which had full kitchen services - fridge and stove - and was exactly what we needed. Continental breakfast was decent - all the basics. I can't actually find one thing to complain about and will definitely look to book again. Especially for team needs.
We came to Travelodge in the late evening, after our original hotel had bed bugs. We were scrambling to find accommodation last minute and luckily they had two rooms available for us. I have stayed in multiple Travelodges across Canada and have always enjoyed my stay. The common areas and hallways in this Travelodge were a bit dated, but the rooms were very clean and recently renovated. The bathroom was very modern. Lots of towels and shampoo, conditioner, lotion and makeup wipes. The beds were incredibly comfy with lots of pillows! They had complementary hot breakfast, with make your own waffles (none of that frozen stuff) and all the basics: coffee, tea, juice, cereal, oatmeal, toast, muffins etc. All the front desk staff were super helpful and friendly, but not in a pushy way. Definitely recommend!
Situated with within walking distance of the train station, the front desk staff is courteous regardless of when your train arrives. Be sure to catch breakfast. It's a homestyle buffet that's hearty and healthy!
Travelodge is listed as a "Pet Friendly" hotel, but we got there to check in and one of the employees said, "is that a cat??? Oh, we don't take cats." Travelodge needs to address this. Pet Friendly means pet friendly. If you want to be dog friendly only, then say that. It is very misleading. In addition, the staff were rude and inconsistent. Thankfully we found a cat-friendly room elsewhere where the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Two non-adjacent overnight stays, both very comfortable. Clean and friendly. Good continental breakfast with fresh hot waffles and other usual items (croissants, bread/toast, fruit, cereals, et al). Very good location near rec centre for those looking for a workout/swim/exercise of some sort. Walking distance from VIA station (when weather good, as it was). And even though breakfast was good, had a better breakfast at adjacent attached restaurant "Sassafras Savouries" that was very good.
