the staff was very polite and helpfull . the hallways and also the ground floor entrance should be aired out from time to time , it felt very stuffy , without any fresh air

We stayed in Prague for 6 nights at the beginning of our Christmas vacation, and had a wonderful experience. Our room was spacious, and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location was phenomenal, and we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see in Prague. Our only criticism of the hotel would be that it is getting a little worn. The room was clean, but the carpets were worn and had minor stains. For what we paid for our room, it was a good value to us overall, but some updating may be needed in the near future.

Overall nice hotel. Staff very helpful. Rooms nice size & very clean. Included free breakfast very good & enough variety. Piano player every evening in lobby/bar very nice enjoyable touch. Right in old town section & short 5-10 min walk to other side of river & castle Free internet spotty in room, but fine in lobby. Concierge went extra lengths to assist me renting car. Overall a 4 star hotel by USA standards. Good value. Would go back.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and had a great time. The hotel concierge was very helpful in getting us set up with tickets for public transportation and boat tour passes. The hotel restaurant was very good and reasonably priced, as was the hotel bar. This hotel was a great location with proximity to old town, charles bridge, etc. There was a metro stop about 3 blocks away, making it a good location no matter where we were coming from. I am a paraplegic, and while we did not book the handicap room, I found the room to be fairly accessible. The shower was a little bit difficult, but I was able to make due. They also had a handicap bathroom in the lobby (although no shower) that made it a little easier for me to use the bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.

Good hotel in the heart of the city walking distance to most major place of interest( The Old Town, Hradchany, Charles Bridge, Vltava the River, etc. Wide selection of local and international cuisines all around, also a shopping area very close to the hotel as well as tram, bus and subway stations. I'm highly recommended rooms with a river view. Also, I'm very like a breakfast in this hotel with good selection of local food..

The location of the hotel was fabulous, we went to the bridge, clock, castle, and church walking. Prague is beautiful.

Not a five star hotel. Visually good, No 110 volt outlets and no converters available. The concierge is not affiliated with the hotel and is poor. Cash only and no follow up. Shower leaks all over the bathroom.

Hotel was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. There was no casino and couldn't use the jacuzzi because they said it wasn't working. Great breakfast and fairly good location.

Very good location and big rooms but for the rest of services and overall maintenance it is not what you would expect from 5*

1. I paid for a higher priced room in this hotel but was given the smallest room. 2. I paid for a room with a view but was given a room facing an office wall. 3. The room had a 19 inch picture tube TV. The screen was not even stable so I could not watch any channel. 4. I tried to transfer and was told the hotel was fully booked and "should reserve earlier". I said excuse me I booked more than 3 months ago. 5. Breakfast buffet is the only thing that worked.

Fantastic location, just 25 meters from the Vltava river and walking distance from the Old City, Karlovy Bridge, Opera and many others interesting places. Unfortunately, the reception is too small for such hotel and sometimes you can spent couple more minutes for a check-in.

The location was great for us it was right by the river and very close to all the action. But I was hoping for a 5 stars hotel and it is between 2 and 3 stars if you coming from the us. I promises you this is far away from even 4 stars I know in the us. The good thing is the wifi. And it's great becouse it all over the hotel and room and it's free. The breakfast is nice the staff is ok they not realy so good at manners but they are for sure trying..

Excellent experience. The room was clean and comfortable and modern. Excellent bathroom facilities. The only beef I have with it is the WIFI was sporadic. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast buffet was really fabulous. The location was also quite good - overlooking the river and a short walk to Old Town Square.

Hotel President is in a perfect location - 5 minute walk from old town. The hotel is great. If it had a renovation of the building from the outside it would be amazing.

IT'S CONVENIENT TO ALL TOURIST ACTIVITIES AND ALLOWS WALKING TO THEM ALL.. MANY GOOD RESTAURANTS NEARBY. ROOMS NEED SOME MAINTENANCE----SHOWER LEAKED ON FLOOR BIG TIME... NO AIR CONDITIONING WORKING WAS A BIG PROBLEM.

Positive: the large room had a great view, neat and clean. Negative: long waiting to talk to the reception, not much of a parking space...

Room was nice. Had a mini bar. Advertised FREE WiFi in room didn't work. Had to go to public areas. Asked for ice, and wake up call which we never got. Good location on the river. Not a bad walk to Old Town city center

We reserved a double room and when we arrived we were given a room with a single bed. The hotel said our computer print out only showed one person. This mistake has occurred before with hotel bookings but we were always told by not to worry since we booked a double room. This time it cost us 60 Euros a night more to get a double room.

Excellent location, good rooms. Outstanding breakfast buffet!

I stayed here in the beginning of June, 2012. The hotel is located on the river and offers views of both the river and the Prague castle as well. Both were beautiful during the day and lit up at night. The basic room that I had was quite large for European standards and included a king bed with 2 king sized pillows. There was a large picture window in a draped alcove that overlooked the river. The bathroom was on the small side but was functional and included his and her bathrobes, a nice touch, as well as amenities such as as a sowing kit, shoe buffer, cotton swabs in addition to soap. The liquid soap/body and hair wash was a large bottle, not the individual bottle that I would have liked to have seen. There was no separate conditioner provided but I did not inquire if that was available. The hotel has an in house spa, which I did not make use of given my short stay. The room looks as though it was in need of some modernization, for example, the television was a small CRT television (do they even make those anymore) as opposed to a flat screen LCD/LED TV, which should be standard, certainly in upscale hotels. There was a writing desk and chair as well as a dresser for clothes. Power outlets were hard to come by without unplugging a lamp or the like. There was wifi in the room and in the common area. The connection was strong enough to make an internet call and provide sufficient web-surfing speed. There was no extra charge for the wifi. The mini bar was stocked with various drinks and snacks but don't expect to use it as a refrigerator as it merely "chills" the food but does not properly refrigerate. There is a full hot breakfast in the morning. There was no extra charge for the breakfast. The service was quite good as I expected. Check in was fast and courteous. A bellman is available to assist you to your room. The hotel graciously stored my luggage upon check out and retrieved it promptly and delivered it to my car when I was ready to leave. The hotel's location is really a big plus, especially if you will be touring Josefov, the Jewish Quarter. The Jewish sites and the cemetery are all within walking distance of the hotel. Many other sites are located within walking distance or a shot cab ride. There are a number of bars and restaurants nearby within walking distance, and even a few restaurants which are certified kosher. There is a Segway tour operator around the corner from the President hotel in another major hotel chain property that is less than 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Overall, there is great value in this property. With the President's location, river/castle views, free wifi and breakfast and hotel service and price, I would stay again and could look past some of the refurbishments that are needed.
