We stayed at the hotel merkur for four nights and we don't have any complains. The location of the hotel is great right next to the metro station. Rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast was tasty with many different options. Staff on the hotel waa pleasent and helpful.
I booked the Hotel Merkur for 16 nights and I must express how completely satisfied I am with the location, cleanliness, service, and included full breakfast buffet! I booked a double room with a private bathroom and the room is quite large and the bathroom almost as large!! The bed covers are very light and warm and I sleep like a baby every night! The TV works great and the electrical receptacles are accessible, whether you have a bulky European adapter or not. 😊 The hotel is within walking distance to almost every major tourist site one would visit while in Prague. I walked to the Prague Castle, Petrin Lookout Tower, the Dancing House, Charles Bridge and Vysehrad... just to name a few! I will certainly return to Hotel Merkur for a future stays in Prague! Thank you to the wonderful and always smiling staff! 🤗💯🇨🇿
We were still in hotel merkur at the moment and we are very happy that we choose to stay in this hotel. We were group of four and the room that we got is spacious and with very comfortable bed. Their staff are very approachable and they made sure that guests are happy. Location is excellent, you can go to Old Town, Charles Bridge and other top attractions by walk from the hotel. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends when they visit prague.
Visited over Easter, staff are all very polite and want to ensure that stay is comfortable. Rooms are clean with comfy beds. Breakfast has lots of choice and very tasty. Would recommend for a short stay in Prague as it is only a 10 minute walk to the Old Square.
we stayed in prague for a day and booked..hotel merkur which is at a very convinent location and near to major attraction....reception people were very nice and provided us with all the information needed. A very nice clean place good to stay with family
I'm having such a great time in Prague furthermore the hotel where I'm staying it's comfy and cosy! Great experience! The rooms are wide and full of space the receptionists that are working are kind and helpful!
This hotel is in a good location with easy access to the popular parts of the city and close proximity to public transport links. We had a problem on arrival, they'd allocated us the wrong room type. This was however resolved within a day and the staff handled the situation well. We opted for breakfast each morning and it didn't disappoint. There was a wide variety of continental and Central European foods which were tasty. The room was clean and well presented, albeit a little basic, but this is a well-priced 3 star hotel after all. In all I'd say we got what we paid for. If you're after a jaw dropping experience then you'd need to pay more. This hotel presents good value for money.
Hotel Merkur is an excellent choice for travellers that emphasize location over luxury. If you only need a convenient place to spend your nights with moderately cheap price - Hotel Merkur is the way to go. All the main sightseeings are within walk distance. I only used metro to get here from the airport. As for the cons I would mention that sometimes you have to queue to have breakfast as the dining room isn't too big for everybody to fit in at once. Also the rooms can be a bit noisy. But these are just minor things that really didn't bother me.
Good food. Love the mash potatoes and spaghetti. Also the people here are nice. There's outside seats which is kinda cool because you can see nice plants outside. So that's all. Just really good pasta and desert and friendly servers. :)
