Let's just begin this review that staying for two nights in this hotel was the worst part of this trip. Of course I have to be honest and to admit that we were looking for budget accommodation but this one was probably below that limit. The only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast. The lobby is small. Wi Fi was nice. But the furniture and rooms are nothing like the photos you can find here or some other web sites. They gave us even older room. If you are looking for adventure and you don't mind about the accommodation than try this hotel. The city of Prague can give you so much more that you will totally forget this hotel on the end of the day.
well i was shocked to say the least about this hotel the bedroom was something out of the ark in very much need of an update the bed was so hard i could have slept on the floor and had the same comfort one pillow flat as a pancake not good stains all over carpet breakfast the same every day just had toast which i made myself glad we took so much sightseing in this lovely city was only a place to put my head kept window open as warm but in morning smokers smoke wafting in every day wont ever be back and wouldnt recommend this place for dogs staff looked very grumpy and not one of them helpfull language a barrier they dont speak english and i cant speak czech no brit should ever book in here its the pits
The hotel is situated about 30 min from the city center (10 min by bus from closest metro station). Not very easy to find from the bus stop though. It is close but is hidden in a residential area. Once you are there, it looks quite nice. Adiministrators speak English and Russian, check in is since 3 p.m. and check out is at 10 a.m. Rooms are normal, nothing special but includes all the necessary things (except fan). The furniture and sheets are quite old, but comfortable. The only thing I found uncomfortable was the pillow, it is very hard and flat, so for me it was difficult to sleep on. The area around is quite, but there are few shops and food places nearby. The breakfast is really good, a good variety of food, as sausages, salami, cheese, salads, pastries, eggs, fruits, juice, etc. Price is reasonable, it is a good choice if you don't spend a lot of time in the hotel and are not looking for a luxury accommodation. Unfortunately, cleaning is not the strongest side of this hotel. Even with the sign on the door asking to clean the room, it wasn't cleaned properly, as those bugs were still on the window since we came until we left)) Wi fi works perfectly in the room!
I stayed here in July of 2011. The hotel was a little hard to find but worth the effort. Staff was friendly. Close to public transportation. i would recommend this place for couples or single people. Thanks.
What an excellent and friendly hotel. Reception, lounge and dining facilities superb, food excellent and the hotel situated right alongside Wenceslas square. No language problems and restaurants galore close by. Beer in Prague expensive
It seems like this hotel originally turned from a hotel. Corner rooms doent get wifi inside the rooms. You have to be in corridor with laptop or yoir device. Upon requesting office member showed list of other hostels one can live.one the bad experience. When you complain for a wifi they say come seat at reception and work. It feels so bad. Although near theaim road but only bus is available that too at ebery 20 min. Very less frequency. Poor customer support.
My friend spend three nights in here and this is nowhere a 5 star hotel. Its More like a hostel, tobacco smell and everything worn out. Prices do not reflect the current state of this place. You can find cheaper places in Prague and even closer to city centre.
First of all this hotel is not near the city. Bad service in the reception and also bad English. Room was not in a good situation with old furniture and not so clean. In our room wireless internet was not working. Also after 00:00 it's a little bit difficult to go there because the bus stops at 23:00. So plan to return early or take a taxi because we were lost with google maps. Except all the above they cleaned the room every day and the Breakfast was rich.
We stayed in the annex to the hotel, a separate block close to the main hotel. The room was large, but very sparse and basic. It also stank and we assume that the previous guest had smoked, even though it is a non smoking room. The wifi was weak in the room, but good signal in the passage. Breakfast was good. The hotel is quite far from the historic city centre, but is close to a bus stop that takes you to the metro, so is not a major issue. It is situated in a quiet area
I dislike giving bad reviews, however this is truly the worst place I have ever stayed. On the first night we tried to find a new hotel as we couldn't comprehend even stating here one night, however all nearby hotels were fully booked! It feels like an old communist prison. Uncomfortable beds (like sleeping on a gym mat), dark, dirty and smelly rooms. Toilet seat that didn't stay up, shower curtain that fell off the wall when you touched it, and no shower head holder so you had to hold the shower with one hand, and wash with the other. Breakfast was ok at best.
