We stayed overnight with a tour group and our hotel booking was done by tour operator. As soon as we arrived in hotel we realized that there are number of similar tour groups are staying in the hotel and common facilities are not able to cope up with the demand. Hotel has old small lifts which are very slow to move. Within the lifts there are some sensors and if you block the sensors lifts would not move at all. It took about 10 minutes for us to move from lobby to room after waiting for the lift and then struggling to get it moving. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast started at 6 am and from that time restaurant was very crowded and it was difficult get second a serve or coffee from the coffee machine. Breakfast quality was average. Apart from these logistic problems with tour groups, the hotel seems ok and staff members are trying to do their best.
Great hotel , located a few minutes away from the city centre , lovely staff , quality rooms , would recommend to anyone who is looking for a great value hotel , loads to do around the hotel with bars and restaurants and a 2 minute walk down to the lovely scenery of the river and bridges.
This is a very nice hotel i was visiting with family. It's not very big but its very nice and clean. It's near the centre of Prague and the staff is very polite. They can help you around with anything. Also the pricing is pretty good
I have stayed in a lot of Best Westerns and must say this one really surprised me. I stayed here for a week (June 1-6) and was extremely disappointed with a few things. First of all don't stay in a room on the street side. For being situated on a side street it was the noisiest area, cars, yelling, people screaming out the windows and throwing water at their friends in rooms below them. The TV had 3 english channels, CNN, BBC and Bloomberg, learned more about the European economy than I ever wanted to know. My biggest complaint though was the fact that you had to PAY for ice. I don't mind going to the bar to get it, but paying almost $1.00 for a glass of ice, are you kidding me. The staff was nice and the room was always clean but 2 single beds pushed together does not make a double bed. Overall a 3 out of 5
The hotel was in a great location. The room was spacious, clean the bathroom was excellent. Staff were helpful. Kettle available on request. The only downside was no air con so room was hot . Wifi was good. The old and new town were within reasonable walking distance. Tram stop within 5 minute walk.
Stayed here in February of this year together with my wife. The hotel is located in a good area and is close to everything., staff is helpfull in finding a nice place to eat and friendly. We had a nice and quiet room just as we requested. Prague is a very nice town. Overall we had a very good stay.
The hotel was at a prime location with nearby tram station, lots of groceries, restaurants and in walking distance of major attractions. The room & the bathroom was spacious. The reception staff was fine. Breakfast and cleanliness were okay. The hotel seemed to be old, not offering the usual glitter and coziness of a typical BW hotel. The water drainage system of the basin was terrible, took a long time. To my utter surprise, there was no air-con/fan or any other means of cooling system. I am not sure if the authority thinks that the weather of Prague is not warm enough throughout the year, but the temperature was definitely not in the range that should make the air-con unnecessary. A good side was, I was provided with a table fan upon request, though the staff was initially skeptic if they had one. Locker in the room was too small. Another surprising thing is, the hotel did not have any double bed in its rooms, or at least we were told so, as could not get a double bed even we requested during the booking.
We were very pleased with the customer service! They even helped us search for bus and train schedules and printed tickets out for us to help us get on our way. They went over and above our expectations. The downstairs coffee bar also offers spirits and beer, and the paninis are quite good. The room itself was clean. The shower had good pressure. The bed was comfortable but unfortunately the only other two twin beds instead of a full size bed. If you book in the summer, make sure that you request an air conditioned room. The rooms get very warm, and when we asked they did not have any more fans available. They were kind enough to offer to switch off to a different room, but we had already unpacked. We tried opening the windows and got a very nice breeze, but the noise in the street below was a very loud as it echoes between the buildings which are close together. We would definitely stay there again.
Stayed here at the end of the May. We booked a transfer through the hotel at a cost of 680 cz one way which I felt was a lot for a 25 or so minute ride. Transfer was late arriving however when it did, the driver was friendly, helpful and efficient. We were allocated an attic room which was spacious for myself and my boyfriend. With plenty of storage and facilities (hairdryer, toiletries etc) The beds for us were rather uncomfortable and as I suffer with back problems, left me in a bit of pain first thing. However for myself, sleep quality overall wasn't too bad. Also, Shower was a bit temperamental, one minute freezing, one minute boiling but again that can't always be helped. At least it worked! Breakfast was always rather busy which again isn't the hotels fault but a point nevertheless. On the other hand, this is a brilliantly located hotel in New Town close to the River and we had no trouble finding our way around to other areas. Lots to do in Prague and upon Check in, you get a free city map which can help get you around. Staff are fantastic at this hotel. After a luke warm trip to Poland, I was expecting similar from here but no. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. We didn't pay a great deal for this hotel for 3 nights and for what we paid, you cannot knock it whatsoever. A brilliant hotel in an ideal location for exploring. Would recommend.
The hotel is in a quiet part of the new town but not far from the river. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable and staff were helpful. Breakfast was a little crowded and it would have been nice to have had tea and coffee facilities in the room but overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
