Sheraton Poznan Hotel5.0 out of 5.0

Stayed here after a late flight arrival, planned of course. I can't comment on the food but the hotel was excellent, we were quickly and efficiently booked in and given our key to a room on the second floor. The bed was enormous at least 6' wide which made for a great night of undisturbed sleep. The bathroom was well equipped but unfortunately no bath in our room. I will definitely be staying here again, there are also tram stops just outside the hotel which make navigating the city a breeze We had a late walk in to the centre of Poznan, this city is really nice, it's had a lot of investment, and the old square is stunning I will come back for a long weekend at some point.
I spent now two weekends there and have to say: Great hotel and especially wonderful staff!! So friendly and welcoming, this easily helps to oversee some small experiences in the breakfast area where it really depends who serves you. It can happen that all your dishes are taken away in an absolutely perfect and professional manner but also that you have to put your dirty plates to any other table where the guests have left as on your as well other tables is no more space. It can happen that suddenly at your table two strangers are sitting as you were getting new food - something I only know from very simple budget hotels in Germany. However, this all is minor and doesn't count considering the wonderful atmosphere from the very beginning to the very end. Once I struggled with the polish bank bureaucracy and would have been lost without the fantastic help of Angela. Maciej is the one who even can help you before you arrived. However, those names are only placeholders as you could mention also all the other employees. I'm totally happy to find such a great place which from the very beginning made Poznan feeling home for me. Definitively the place to stay when you are in Poznan - also perfectly located, close to the station, fair and city. Next to busses and trams. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the executive is open 24 hours which is a great service and unfortunately available in very view places. The 2 hours happy hour is really nice, the food served not too much of a choice but delicious and frequently refreshed. I also recognized that some guests who obviously had some problems with some food got a special plate only served specially for them. So what should I add? Please stay there but not too much as I also wanna have my room secured :-). Thanks to the whole team and looking forward to coming back soon.
The Sheraton is well situated being only 5 minutes walk from Poznan Glowny station. You can actually see it's sign from the station so it's easy to navigate yourself there if you are walking. The rooms are as you would expect from the brand. Spacious with lovely big beds. The walk in showers are spacious and plenty of hot water. There is also plenty of free toiletries and toothbrushes which is useful. The standard of cleanliness is excellent with plenty of towels. The bars are open until late and the sports bar offers hot food until late too. The breakfasts are reasonable but the standard and the cost has dropped from our last visit here 6 years ago. You have to serve yourself with tea and coffee which is not clear. I do not think this buffet style breakfast offers any more than the 3 star hotel I stayed in Warsaw which is disappointing. The staff here are very attentive and helpful. Only to willing to assist you with any problem. Car parking is available at an extra charge but is very safe and secure. If you want to walk to the town it only takes 15 minutes. The Rynek is easy to find and well worth a visit.
Fantastic hotel 10 minutes walk from the train station, adjacent to the trade centre and a 15 minute walk to the old town. Lovely reception staff who gave an incredibly warm welcome and walked me through the local sights. Room was comfortable and incredibly clean. Fantastic shower and great bathroom. Club lounge was great - complimentary snacks and beverages through the day, and great cheeses and mini salads during cocktail hour. Breakfast served in the restaurant very good also. Will definitely stay here again!
Great hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was great - very comfortable and clean. The location was great - near to the railway station and not a long walk to the old town. We could not have wished for a better hotel in Poznan.
Sheraton Poznan is perfectly located, just opposite the fair area, very close to train station and directly at big trams crossing area. It is also easily reachable by car from A2. The hotel is cozy and has nicely arranged interiors. Room (classic) was spacious and has big bathroom. Air condition was working well. Big size bed (king) was very comfortable. Weak point of the room overlooking the main street is that the windows aren't soundproof. Interconnecting rooms available. Someplace Else restaurant is very nice and offers good food at still reasonable rates, as for a 5-star hotel. Helpful and professional staff all around the hotel. Small pool, but enough for a relaxing break. The hotel is a bit "used" already, but is undergoing renovation soon.
Sheraton hotels vary a lot, from old and forgotten to really luxurious. Sheraton Poznan is the latter type -- it's a top-quality hotel in a nice city. Everything is new, good quality (it's not the finest Italian marble or anything, but the furnishings are comfortable and in good condition, and the entire property was immaculately clean.) SPG recognition is exemplary as well; as a platinum, I got a very nice suite on the club floor, with club floor access, and had no problem with a late checkout request, free Internet, etc. It is also an excellent SPG points redemption value -- currently a Category 2. The biggest drawback is hotel parking is very expensive (PLN 120/night), especially relative to average room rates. There is a slightly cheaper paid parking lot behind the hotel. Hotel staff were friendly and quite helpful, and knowledgeable both about the local area and my onward travel destination, Warsaw. I would definitely stay here again when in Poznan.
Stayed again at this hotel.excellent plt treatment.upgraded to a junior suite.small, cozy lounge with a good choice of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres plus 4 different cakes.including the famous sernik.the Polish version of cheesecake. Breakfast was great.they have underground parking which comes at a rather steep 25 euros You can get very good room rates when there is no trade Fair going on. The beautiful old City is a nice 15 minute walk.the rooms are comfortable though will need some revamping in the future.a great feature is the small pool, sauna and gym on the top, i.e. 8 the floor giving a nice view.stuff was very efficient.though The spg points credit was incorrect.tried to use the save environment option clicking on the option on the reservation page of spg.learned you also need to put a hanger on the door which I did and then you should receive a voucher for 500 points from the bell boy which you then give to reception.sounds complicated and didn't work.if marriott/Starwood mean it seriously they might consider making it simpler.why is putting it into the reservation not sufficient for example. But that's not really the hotel's fault.definitely recommend it.it's also walking distance from the main railway station and a huge mall.
Excellent venue, excellent staff who remember who you are and what room you are from and are very helpful. Close to trams, university, shops, main train station and the old town centre. Would stay there again. Would highly recommend
This was our second visit to the Sheraton and it was just as good as our previous visit. The staff are friendly and the service excellent. The new 'Someplace Else' pub is a positive addition with friendly staff and fair prices.
