Ants in the room. Could feel the springs in the bed bathrooms are very small. Remotes to the tv somehow kept coming unprogrammed had to have staff come about 6 diff times to reprogram or switch out remotes completely .

Not good at all dirty location room was not clean smell was very very bad I can still smell from my clothes I can't even give this place a one star

We've stayed in this hotel on 2 different occasions in two buildings. In each building there is on overpowering stench of mold thinly covered with Lysol. It's really strong and triggered my allergies. The staff is slow and actually gave us keys to a room That was already occupied! We went back and we're given a different room and this time the keys didn't work. We had to go back a third time to actually get a room!

Room filthy. Bed terrible shape. Left early.r oom stunk.

Usually, I am very generous with reviews and tend to see the positives over the negatives. Not so in this case. The only redeeming thing was the front desk attendant (Yvonne) who seemed to be doing everything for everyone. As we were trying to check in, someone approached the desk and asked for the cigarette butts and food containers from his new room to be removed. (Sounded as though it was never cleaned!) We got our room which was motel style (this was not visible on the photo when I selected it) and it smelled AWFUL! Literally gave me a headache and took my breath away. But we were exhausted and resigned ourselves to this. Outside of our room and on the floor above, it sounded like a biker gang was partying. In the morning, the breakfast lobby was absolutely swarmed with teenage lacrosse players getting breakfast and poor Yvonne was still there trying to get another table set up. People were clamoring to check out; it was a mad house. We will actually be in the area many times in the future and will NEVER stay here again.

Our room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. The carpet was dingy, furniture old, dingy as well.

Nice clean place to stay near Hudson River. Located at the heart of Poughkeepsie.

Everything was fine. The only problem I had was since I cannot climb stairs so well, I requested a ground floor room. Unfortunately, there isn't any area online for this request to be made. So, when I got to the hotel I asked for a ground floor room since they did not have an elevator. After a bit of deliberation on the staff's part, they finally decided on one room which was available right off the main lobby. Not the best location, but doable.

The rooms have been renovated and are clean and comfortable. All the amenities one could wish for are available, including an indoor pool, continental breakfast (most items Kosher), WiFi, etc. Very friendly staff. Best value in the area, for sure!

This is my 4th time staying at this hotel. My son attends college nearby so it's very convenient. Upon check-in, I received an upgrade to a business class room. I truly appreciated that. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. I love the free breakfast. I will be staying here every time I'm in Poughkeepsie.

Just needed a place to crash for two nights. Nothing fancy. Room was OK but stuffy. Air conditioning unit unfortunately was noisy. Breakfast was good but need larger seating area for weekend crowds. Always a jam up when only one waffle maker is there. Should have 2-3 for weekend crowds. Staff was accommodating and friendly.

No elevator- breakfast not much was there Overall it was ok

Adjacent to Vassar College with many restaurants. Adequate breakfast included.

The only problem was I had to wait 20 minutes to get into a room. Checkin was at 3:00pm and I got there at 3:40pm. No room was available for me and I had to wait 20 minutes in the lobby for a room to be cleaned.

I called the hotel for arrival time. receptionists were not helpful.

Excellent value, located adjacent to Vassar College campus, away from downtown Poughkeepsie.

The room was a dump! Overwheming smoke odor! The clerk at the desk, who was great, warned me at check-in that it was a smoking room and that he had no other choices for us. The room was extremely rundown, poorly lit, bathroom was bad joke. An outhouse would have been better as the toilet was almost unusable in that it was wedged into a corner that made decent hygiene almost impossible. A very heavyset person could not have used the toilet. I pulled back the bedcover and killed two bugs, spiders I hope. The newer part of the complex mat be okay but that is not where we stayed Paying more than ten dollars per night for that room was robbery Room 214.i shouldn't be rented it should be torn down.

visiting our daughter for parent's weekend at Marist. We took our younger two kids - ages 15 and 10 and booked the hotel. When we opened the door, it was such a let down. Old and skimpy -- think your average motel. for the price, we thought we were getting the average Hotel, but it was not so. The kids knew right away this wasn't what they normally stay in -- which is nothing fancy -- i.e. Sheratons, Courtyards, etc. So bottom line, we left for home that night, and did not stay over. It was clean enough, but just not what we're used to.
