We arrived early well before standard check in time and before a large group had checked out. We were especially anxious to get into a room because of an eye problem of my wife's. Somehow, staff did find a room within minutes and were subsequently extremely helpful around every request not to mention the bonus of free travel through the hotel to and in Berlin up until mid-night the day of check-out. Simple, clean and comfortable room in best imaginable location for enjoying Potsdam.
Great location on Luisenplatz and Brandebenburger Strasse, the center of shopping and dining. Convenient to a bus and tram stop. Germany relays heavily on public transportation, and an unexpected perk when we arrived was two free bus/tram/train passes for our entire stay.

We are about to change the appearance of our hotel through a major refurbishment this upcoming winter. To be up to date, we are planning to convert most of our accommodation to rooms with air conditionning.
