Villa Elyseum is located in Positano in a pedestrian area, about 500 meters away from the center, where are found all the restaurants and shops. The SITA bus stop, to go to Sorrento or other villages along the coast, is not far from the villa, while the closest beach is about 1 km far.
This luxurious historic villa, which overlooks the sea, extends over 1.000 m2, it consists of 7 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms and can sleep up to 16 guests.
It has a private swimming pool, two wide terraces, large garden, air conditioning, winter heating, WI­FI Internet access and it offers amazing views over the emerald sea of the Amalfi coast.
Villa Elyseum is accessed from the street level going up a 200­meters public walkway that includes about a ten stairway steps.
The generous swimming pool is 4 meters large, 10 meters long and 1.4 meters deep. The pool area is fitted with tables, chairs, sun umbrellas, sun loungers and external showers. By the pool there is also a bathroom with a washbasin and a toilet.
From the swimming pool you can admire stunning views of the main beach of Positano (Spiaggia Grande), of the coast and the sea.
The pool is available from the beginning of April till the end of October.
From the pool area you reach the garden, provided with a barbecue and that is partially shaded by olive trees.
As soon as you step inside, you will find the living room with high and vaulted ceilings. The furnishings are elegant and sophisticated, and include some period pieces. There are sofas, armchairs and an antique and imposing fireplace.
The living room has air­conditioning/heating and is equipped with a satellite TV, a DVD and a CD player.
From the living room you can access (through 3 French doors) the first terrace with view over the main beach of Positano, the coast and the sea. This terrace measures 100 m2 and it is equipped with tables, chairs, sun umbrellas and deck chairs.
This level houses the dining room as well, also characterized by high vaulted ceilings too, and has a dining table for 14 people. Even from here, you can access the terrace.
The room is equipped with air conditioning/heating system and there is an age­old fireplace too.
From the hallway you can reach the kitchen that is fully equipped, with a four­ burner gas cooker, gas oven, a large fridge with freezer, dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian­style coffee­maker, an American­style coffee­ maker, a toaster and other useful appliances.
On this level there is a bedroom, with a double bed (larger than a queen size bed), high vaulted ceiling, full en­suite bathroom (+ half bathroom with toilet and washbasin), air­conditioning/heating unit and access to the terrace.
On the top level there is the second terrace that measures 40 m2, it is equipped with a table and chairs and boasts a beautiful sea view.
This level is home to five more bedrooms, accessible from the hallway.
All the bedrooms are ensuite, one of them has also a Jacuzzi in the bathroom, and they feature vaulted frescoed ceilings, double beds, larger than a queen­ size bed (except one that is equipped with twin beds). All the bedrooms have air conditioning/heating units, and four of them gives onto the second terrace.
The bathrooms feature hand­made majolica tiles and are provided with washbasins, toilet, bathtubs with fixed shower and hairdryers.
There are antique fireplaces, decorated in marble, in 3 of these 5 bedrooms.
On the bottom level there is a further suite which comprises three interconnected rooms: a sleeping area (with a king­size bedroom and a twin­ bedded room, which are interconnecting); a sitting area and a bathroom. This suite has got a king­size bed (200 cm.), that can be split into twins if requested and a single bed (80 cm.), which is set in the sitting area. A further single bed (80 cm.) is available (if requested in advance) to make it a quadruple.
The bedroom is equipped with air conditioning/heating unit, en suite bathroom, made with lucid hand­made majolica tiles and provided with a washbasin, a toilet, a shower box and a hairdryer.
The room has also a Juliet balcony with sea view.
Finally, there is also a laundry room at guests’ disposal, that can be reached from the toilet in the pool area. It has a washing machine, a clothes dryer, iron and an ironing board.
The car is not necessary however, if you have one, you can park it for a fee, along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces) or in a private parking lot downtown (where a space can be reserved).Neighborhood and transport:
Situated along steep slopes on the central Amalfi coast, Positano is today a sophisticated tourist destination. Characterized by its Moorish architecture and the steep steps that lead from the village to the beach, this picturesque town has long been a favorite destination for artists, musicians and famous writers. The two main beaches, Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo, are both within walking distance; the others are reached mainly by sea. Ferry boats do daily service if you want to take a day trip to Capri and Ischia.

Rental Rules:
The rental price includes: final cleaning, daily maid service from Monday to Sunday (from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm); baggage porter; beach/pool towels, two sets of bed and bath linen, electricity.
A 40% deposit has to be paid at the time of booking. The balance is due within 60 days prior to arrival.
Check in: between 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm – Check out: within 10:00 am.

Extra cost to be paid upon arrival:
Upon arrival you will be asked to pay a security deposit of € 2.000 (+ € 1.000 in case of meals request). The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure less any charges for accidental damages to the property.
