Went to my normal holiday inn in Portsmouth but realized I forgot to make a reservation. Thankfully this hotel was available. Room was comfortable, staff was nice. Locked myself out in the morning without my phone so I had to wait for staff to show up.

Room was small, breakfast was the pits! Will not stay there again.

We chose this motel because it was less expensive than those in Portsmouth, but not too far away. The room was fine, except that the hair dryer did not work. Our side of the motel was close to the road, so the traffic noise was noticeable, as were the trains. The Continental breakfast was good, but there were only three tables with two chairs each, so some guests took their food to their rooms.

The room was cleaner and better than I expected, and well appointed. Did find two problems, however: 1) The tub "popped" during showering because there must have been a gap between the bottom of the tub to the floor. Only fix, as I could determine, would be to remove the tub and grout and/or support beneath, not an easy job. Might have been more annoying to customers in adjoining rooms, if they could hear, than to me. Room was secure and quiet. Workers were friendly and pleasant. AC/Heater unit was quiet. 2) The vanity sink was partially stopped and drained slowly. No smoking room. Good continental breakfast. Free newspaper. Refrigerator and coffee in room. Twin beds with high mattresses, a lounge chair, Lots of chest of drawers for storage of belongings. Ample clothes hangers available. Nice 32" HDTV with remote control, clock radio, bed lamps for reading. If I return to this area, I will choose Days Inn again.

I booked a non-smoking room; they put me in a room that reaked of smoke. I asked for another room and they said they were booked. So, I went to the local Kroger and bought Chlorox wipes, candles, air wick, febreeze and flip flops, (there was NO WAY my bare feet were going to be on that filthy carpet). I will pack such things in the future. There was plenty of hot water. Parking was limited; Road crews used two spaces to park their dump trucks. Freight trains run about every two hours.

Hotel was noisy, drafty, and old. Shower was OK, but soap and shampoo were horrible. Breakfast was the worst I have seen in years.

It was OK for the price, but only "OK". As planned, I spent the vast majority of my time elsewhere. I simply slept in the room and, in the morning, had the continental breakfast

We were surprised when we went to our room. It was nothing like the pictures on their website show. It was dark and smelled of mold. We went to the office hoping there was a better room available and the desk clerk was extremely rude. The beds were uncomfortable and it just felt dirty. The carpet was stained pretty bad. Maybe it was just because everything is kind of old and worn out. I wouldn't stay again. The hotels in the area were full or we would have left the same day we arrived.

The rooms were too small and so were the beds. there were 3 of us and we had to tell them to leave coffee for 3 not 2.

I was just there long enough to sleep, wake up, and get ready

The hotel was fine. I don't have any real complaints. I don't stay in hotels very often so I don't have any thing to compare it to. The room was kind of old with some old dry wall issues, but it realy didn't mater.
