Located 15 minutes away from Porto airport, the hotel offers nice views on the not too distant port of Vila do Conde. Relatively modern design the hotel is spacious, includes swimming pool, gym and restaurant. Breakfast view on sunset over the port and the sea is very nice. Selection of bakery. Serves dinner in the evening. Room is well equipped. Internet is fast enough. Staff was cool

Nice design and makeover. Friendly staff. This hotel has everything you could wish for for a few nights stay. Good metro connection with Porto. We liked the rooms very much. Recommended. Excellent price/quality ratio.

Freshly renovated, eveything smells of freshly cut wood and flowers, super clean and cleverly decorated to RELAX your eyes. Extra friendly staff, - we worked late and delayed the breakfast just for us - complimentary welcome water, fruits and sweets, bathrobe and slippers, emergency coffee in the room...basically all magical details you need to feel pampered. Breakfast area is AMAZING!! Stove with actual firewood, claypots with yummies on pieces of wood warmed by candles...they write infos on slabs of stone!!! Cabin crew, seen a lot of hotels, it takes a lot to impress me...I AM IMPRESSED!!! Come pamper yourselves 😍

This hotel urgently need some renovations. The décor of the room is old fashioned and depressing. One of the wall near the desk was wet and moldy, also right next to the electric socket (see attached picture). This added a musty smell to the room. When I asked Reception to change to another room I got the impression that this is one of the better rooms...I was also told they are planning to start renovation on January 2017. The good things about this hotel: - The room is clean - Breakfast is ok - The staff are friendly - Good location for me. It was close to the place I visited and close to the river. You can easily take a walk by the river and choose one of the restaurants next to it for dinner.

I spent a week at Villa C and had a good experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. Not all staff members spoke fluent English, but it was never a problem since the staff at the 24/7 reception speaks very good English. Our room was clean and tidy and they cleaned it every day. The breakfast was exceptionally good with lots of options (multiple varities of bread rolls, toast, pastries, fresh fruit, cereal...). The hotel is nicely located, you can reach the town, restaurants and supermarkets in 5 minutes walking time. The main street is a very loud when the window is open, however. The walk to the next metro station "Santa Clara" is 10-15 minutes. The metro will take you to Porto city center in 40 minutes for 2.70€. You can also walk to Azurara beach in ~15 minutes, or to Vila do Conde beach in ~25 minutes where you can lend a small beach hut for 5€. They have a not-so-big, rather cold pool and a warm whirlpool that you can use for free, but the steambath costs 10€ per person. The spa seems to be more of a bonus. If you're specifically looking for a relaxing spa experience, you will be disappointed. As others have noted, the place could use an exterior makeover and some more decoration. It looks a bit sterile and dull. Overall, it's a decent hotel and I don't regret booking it.

The hotel itself needs an exterior makeover, as the front of the building is dated and deteriorated and the rear gardens are not looked after, contrasting with the interior which is quiet pleasant, well presented and clean. Thumps up for parking facilities, extremely safe and easy accessible. The reason of a low review is described below: As soon as we arrived we went straight to the pool and jacuzzi area to enjoy our spa experience. The water in the pool was cold and when asked to a member of the staff why, we were told that in the summer the they decrease the temperature (???). Back to the room we found strange that we could hear conversations from the reception lobby and general noise from the same area - the reason was that the room has a connection door to the reception area and this door doesn't provide any acoustic barrier. We asked to move rooms to a quiet one and were sent to a corner room with an amazing view through glass windows over a busy road - the traffic noise was insane and it's definitely not what we were looking forward to when we booked an Hotel and Spa for a couple of nights. Finally, we decided to pack our stuff and leave. When approaching reception for check out, complaints book and the return of our "Odisseias" voucher the same member of staff was able to, within minutes, find a quiet room facing the river, room that, allegedly, wasn't available for a couple of nights upon our first request... This makes the "4 star" claim and the "Hotel and Spa" description way too overrated for the service and conditions provided. Bottom line: If you are looking for the spa experience, this isn't the place and any other hotel will provide you with a clean and quiet room and a decent breakfast.

We managed to get a room in the middle of the night after visiting the national craft festival nearby. It was a must to see between July and August. Hotel itself is normal and simple facilities in the room.Bed v small. TV super small also. Doesn't deserve to call 4 stars.

Hmm, how do you describe a hotel like this? All of the components are there yet somehow it fails to deliver on guest experience. The building itself is a Modernist (some may say Brutalist) concrete structure which looks okay from the front but like a prison block when viewed to the rear across the river. All of the main areas and the rooms themselves (well the one we were in at any rate) are clean and tidy but are decorated in muted browns and greys and devoid of any artwork or decoration and so the interior is actually quite a depressing place. To the rear of the building is a sun terrace that leads down onto a garden area but again it is devoid of any accessories such as parasols, lounge seating, tables etc. This could be a lovely outdoor area given a bit of thought and application, but again it is just drab. Downstairs is the Spa with pool (small and cold with swimming caps mandatory) and Jacuzzi - and that's it! Unless you want to pay for extra treatments. During our stay we saw no one use the spa despite having 2/3 staff on duty! Again this could have been great but it was deserted and gloomy. Our room on the second floor was spacious and had a little balcony but with only one chair despite it being a double room. The walls were the aforementioned dull taupe colour with no pictures to liven up the room. The beds were a bit on the hard side but the worst thing about them was the box frame which had sharp 90 degree wooden corners that you kept catching your shin on. All the amenities were there apart from there being no coffee/tea making facilities which I'd have expected for a hotel this size and the annoying thing of having to collect a key for the room safe from reception instead of the more common keypad system one is used to. The hotel although not actually in Vila do Conde is handily placed being a short 10 minute walk to town and a bit longer 15-20 minute walk to Santa Clara Metro station. The best bit about Vila C is the breakfasts. Probably one of the best buffet style breakfasts I've seen provided in many years of traveling around Europe. So in a nutshell a hotel that could be great but really isn't and won't be until someone has the wherewithal to turn this ugly ducking into a swan!

We visited this hotel for 2 nights in July. Plenty of secure underground parking at the hotel. Check in was very quick and easy with friendly staff. Our room was on the first floor out of 2. The room is nice and modern with a good bathroom. Would not recommend the balcony with kids as it is very low. The bed was okay, the mattress was okay apart from sounding like you was sleeping on bin liners when you moved. The location is good, just a short walk into town. The pool and jacuzzi was a bit of a let down. The indoor pool was freezing. Being that the sun can not warm it up I thought maybe it would be temperature controlled but it wasnt. The Jacuzzi was pretty poor as well, only slight bubbles coming from the jets plus also the water was pretty tepid too. It was like it had just opened for the day this was 4pm in the afternoon too. You do need swimming caps for the pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast was nice, nice selection of breakfast foods and drinks. The bar and restaurant in the hotel were very nice too with very friendly staff. Would stay in this hotel again if I was in the area as long as you heat that pool up!

The hotel is very well located, walking distance to city, beach and metro. We stayed for nine nights and never haerd a sound from other guests at night, not even a door closing yet the hotel seemed to be full all of the time. The rooms are a little basic but very clean and everything in working order. Breakfast buffet was much better than expected for the price we paid. The pool and spa is a pleasant way to spend some time if the weather is bad and we had it to ourselves most of the time. Overall we were very happy with our stay here.
