We found location very good. From the airport you have to take a metro and go out on stop "Casa da Musica" metro costs about 2 euros and card and all necessary information you'll find in the airport information center. So at the check-in guy was really nice and helpful. Actually all male front desk staff were very kind. Hotel has 2 elevators but take a note that both are quite small. Hotel has their own bar in reception and they have happy hours, unfortunately we didn't use it. We stayed for 6 nights in room 705. Room was very clean, big and comfortable. Bed was awesome a lot of pillows. Nice view from the window. Minibar is available and we found it quite cheap, comparing to the Europe countries. Bathroom was spacious and extremely clean. Thanks for cleaning lady's for keeping our room so clean every day! The only minuses we found: not enough of electric outlets. One close to the bed and 2 more in the room. So for two girls and modern technologies it wasn't enough. And AC is quite old. Breakfast we found quite poor. But steal you can find something. There's: coffee machine, very bad juice, yoghurts, Different types of bread, meat, chess, fruits. Some warm dishes and cornflakes. No boiled eggs, no salads... breakfast staff always smiling and positive. About location: there's some nice places for meal, shop is available close to the hotel and drug store as well. Reception can always arrange a taxi service for you but we used it like 2 times only and it wasn't expensive. To go to the ocean you have to take bus 502 10min and you are there. Going to city center we used subway, but we changed 2 metros for our destination. But still it took us only 10min. So all in all I liked this hotel! Thank you! :)

Splendid hotel out of the citycentre about 30min traveltime by metro (500m). Modern room with bad and douche, safe, bar, hairdryer. Tasty breakfast and splendid roomservice. Good airco. Good and cheap restaurant at the next door.

Just spent spent five days at this hotel. It was good value and the place is clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed it with helpful staff and a clean good size room on the sixth floor- well insulated and slept very well on the comfortable beds - the room had Lux soap and Dove shower cream and all very clean - tea/coffee making facilities as well. Situated on a main street and a bus stops very near which goes into the main Porto town one way and the beach the other way. Breakfast area was small but nevertheless very good and again clean- good food to start the day. This is a nice hotel and a good base for visiting Porto - good restaurants nearby and I would definitely stay here again when next visiting Porto- which we will as a fantastic city to relax in.

Clean and modern hotel with everything required for a short stay.Very small breakfast area but good selection of food. Our only gripe was that we were charged 7 euros for using the safe in our room ! Usually this is a refundable deposit given back when you return your key. Shame it spoiled our stay.

enjoyed my stay here , larger room clean and bright , nice view over main street and no noise from the road ..great breakfast and small bar area for a few drinks .supermarkets close and beautiful chocolate shop next door and bus that goes into the city centre out the front ..

Numerous sights to see in wonderful Porto. The Majestic Cafe where old style service is still given, an experience not to miss. The beautiful bookshop with its winding staircase. The tram ride along the river side with the wonderful bridge across to the other side of Porto where the many distilleries of port can be found. Much preferred this destination to Lisbon. Would love to go back.

This is our second trip to this hotel. The first time 8 years ago (the last time in Porto). The first trip I used points to book the room. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the Suite (I think there is only one in the hotel). It was a huge room with a huge balcony. This trip we brought our two boys and was able to book this hotel and Suite directly. The entire hotel is very clean and contemporary. The staff is all friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is very quality with a variety of options to suit everyone, including hot food (eggs and sausages) a choice of fresh fruit, cereals, cheeses, yogurts, coffee, tea and breads. We enter our room with a couch that flips out for the kids, we have a large double bed, seating area, desk area, bedside tables, large bathroom with separate toilet area. Mirrored walls which make the place look even larger. Then the veranda/patio area. It's even bigger than the room. You could play tennis out there. All to yourself with a table and chairs. The bed is very supportive, but I prefer them that way. Room temperature is comfortable and adjustable. The location of the hotel is on the outskirts of the main city area, but just hop the metro and get off at Casa de Musica and it's an easy 5 minute walk from there. For us it was a no brainer. Large contemporary and clean hotel with a great breakfast and easy to get to, with loads to see just in that area as well. The hotel staff also have great suggestions for local places to eat that are delicious and easy on the pocketbook. Will definitely come back here again! Room was €105 per night for the four of us including breakfast.

Clean hotel with spacious rooms; decent breakfast. A little away from the main city area/ river area - you can use public transportation but can be a task to figure out. Great restaurant and cafe options near by. There is also a super market nearby with various options to buy chocolates and other Portuguese treats. Will recommend to stay if the options near the river area are not affordable or not available.

My first time in Porto - I went to watch a Champions League match and wanted to make the most of the 24hours I had there. I expected a basic, no frills accommodation in the outskirts of the city - what I got was a very stylish, comfortable room in an ideal part of town - great local restaurants & cafés, two blocks from the 'Music Box' concert hall - oh, and I didn't actually have tickets for the match yet. On the eve of my arrival - I contacted the Front Desk via email asking for help in securing a great seat for the match. Bruno took ownership of my request and was in regular contact with me re the options. When I got to the hotel, the ticket was there, waiting for me - He had picked it up at the box office in advance as the match was likely to sell out! Outstanding!!! I enjoyed the match and the environment at the stadium thoroughly. My seat was amazing!I toured the town in the evening and then again all day the next day. What a beautiful city!! I can't get over how much I enjoyed it! I will definitely be back, and will certainly be staying at this hotel again. Great value, outstanding service and ideally situated between the old town and mid-town. Thank you all at the Quality Inn Portus Cale! This was the greatest, 24 hours in a city I've ever had!
