Great hotel which serves a good breakfast with large selection. Rooms, grounds and spa/pool area are excellent.Special mention to the staff who were wonderful giving us great information and tips about Porto. Thanks
We booked 3 nights at this hotel starting 20 September 2017 We arrived at 11:30 PM, and already at the reception we were very disappointed , We got a room and to reach it we went up the stairs (no elevator) and walked with the suitcases a long way The room was a bit big, with a kitchen and a view of the hotel's courtyard wall The main problem was that there were a large number of mosquitoes in the room and since my wife was allergic to mosquitoes, we had to leave the hotel immediately ( we left around 00:30 AM). The manager of the hotel (Bernardo) spoke to us on the phone and was really not nice to me and my wife He insisted that we pay for the three days even though we left the hotel. We agreed that the first evening would be paid and the other two nights would not be paid He insisted and even wrote a reply to Booking that he who offered us another room the next day... But he didn't understand that we could not stay because of my wife elergic In addition he wrote that he saw only 2 mosquitoes and really 2 mosquitoes were on the bed ... the rest were milling about in the room We travel a lot in the world and have never encountered such a humiliating attitude I also want to note that we did not cancel out of comfort or because we suddenly decided not to come ... We just did not get what we ordered
Wonderful villa, a truly perfect small duplex apartment. Nice minibar, very well located, the nicest staff, almost perfect. Unfortunately, Internet was almost nonexistent in my room. If it weren't for that, it would have been Heaven on Earth.
Stayed for 2 nights with 2 friends on our recent stay in Porto. Great hotel and amazing location. Facilities were excellent, our room was spotless and the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay again!
If you are arriving by car don't stay at Vitoria Village. The street is closed to cars, and we were not told at the reservation. It took us a long time, to park the car and walk to the hotel. We had to go to the back of the hotel trying to find this little narrow street. After leaving our luggage we still needed to find the public parking. Our room faced the hotel parking wich they did not allowed us to stay. My father has walking problems, and the unhappy staff did not help us at all. They even said that the hotel owner did not care at all. We bought tickets to the hop on hop off bus at the reception, and the bus tour map was an old one. It was a total disarter. We stayed on more than 7 hotels in Portugal, and Vitoria Village was a complete horror.
Stayed as a family in June 2017. Initially had a studio apartment at the rear which was a bit dark and dingy but paid a very reasonable extra for a duplex apartment looking out over the garden. Can't fault Vitoria Village - staff are very friendly/helpful, place is spotlessly clean, apartments are very well equipped and serviced. Clean linen every day, very comfortable beds, everything looks and feels top quality. Kitchen is fine but really gets little use - the cafes and restaurants in the vicinity are great quality&value so you don't feel like cooking indoors...but the fridge&kettle are very useful! Fitness Spa is superb - not a pool you can swim in, but big enough to float/relax in and the jacuzzi areas are powerful. Very clean throughout, towels/robes top quality. Steam room and fitness room small but excellent. Breakfast (included) was also first rate - choice of cereals, continental or cooked, all good quality. Throughout the hotel everything was first rate - complementary tea/coffee/OJ available 24hrs. The recliners/beds in the garden (sun most of the day) were thoroughly washed down every day. Step outside the you have 10+ restaurants within 100m - only 100m from Sao Bento metro in one direction and a short stroll to the river 'where it's all happening' in the other direction. As you can tell, we loved our stay in Vitoria Flores Village - the best place to stay in lovely Porto. We'll be back.
Stayed here in the middle of June for three nights. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful, bringing us a hair dryer and iron when required. We stayed in an apartment, which was nice but did lack a few basics like a kettle and a night stand, and the shower temperature fluctuated. The location was perfect, central to everything. Porto is a wonderful city for a short break.
We spent wonderful 2 days in this hotel. It's in the very heart of the city. Apartments have a view on the cathedral. All important sites are in walking distance plus you have restaurants and bars within 200 meters. And still, the hotel has a peaceful inner garden plus a small inside pool. Service is also great.
We stayed 4 nights at this excellently situated hotel. Reception staff all delightful and very knowledgeable and very good at making arrangements if required, Had a duplex room overlooking the central garden - lovely to be able to relax in the sun in the garden with a glass of wine from you own kitchen fridge after a hard day's siteseeing! Hotel doesn't have a bar but does own the excellent wine bar next door! Would definitely recommend! Porto a lovely place to visit - 4 nights probably about the right about of time.
Great central location.chose studio apartment which overlooked gardens on two floors.Apartment-had everything we needed.Bed comfortable .and apartment clean .Staff very helpful and friendly.Breakfast had a choice of both English and continental. Very close to 3 different gin bars only 5 minutes walk away. All found my wife on face book. The place has car park for approx 8 cars which is accessible via a. Car lift. This is our second time staying here and would recommend.
