The stay was fine, but the continental breakfast needs work and the surounding area needs work. Portland has a bad caes of homeless people and they are everwhere making walking outside feel not safe. WHAT HAPPEN TO THE NEIGHBOR HOOD--- SO SAD

The room was very small and smelled like smoke. The walls are very thin and I could hear the people in the next room like if they were in my room with me. Then several days after my stay over 80 bites surfaces which my doctor has confirmed are bed bug bites. When I called the hotel they did not appear concerned and said they would have their housekeeping staff look into it but if they don't see anything there is nothing they can do.

Very nice and quiet, people keep to themselves without issues. no complaints here will be returning when selecting a room on business. Housekeepers do a thorough job and that;s appreciated and well noted!

Nice hotel, simple breakfast. Worth the price and room is comfortable.

I wouldn't have stayed so far from the center of Portland if I'd known where this hotel was. Bathroom was falling apart. The bed sheets were cheap and stained. The area the hotel was located in was very noisy and congested with loud cars all day and night. The only plus was making a waffle for my breakfast.

Was concerned while checking in when the manager asked for a $100 security deposit. I've never had to put a deposit down on a hotel room. I asked the manager why they needed a deposit and he said it's due to the clientele they sometimes serve. They've had major damage done in the past. I asked about the neighborhood and he said we would be safe outside during daylight but to stay in at night. This made me very wary since we had my 11 & 17 year old daughters with us. Our stay turned out fine, the beds were nice and the room was clean. Continental breakfast was very limited. Hot tub was clean but was in a very tiny room. Kind of weird. Due to the neighborhood, I probably not stay here again.

It's not expensive but a clean and comfort hotel in Portland.

This hotel is right next to a light-rail stop, so it's good for travelling around. However the neighborhood itself is not great, so there isn't much I would recommend right by the hotel. I didn't feel very safe or clean at this place. The room smelled very strongly of cleaning chemicals, and because it was a first-floor room that faced an alley full of trash and transient activity, I didn't feel comfortable opening a window to air out the room. There were also children running around upstairs the whole night. So this hotel visit was what made me realize that I don't like staying in ground-floor rooms.

The room was fine. Seemed clean, although it was tiny! Staff was average, not friendly but not rude. So if you get a cheap rate this hotel will work but it is not as roomy as the pictures show and isn't worth the price of your regular chain.

Stay was in very convenient location. Clean. But guybworking front desk wasn't very pleasant, kind of rude.

Was better than I expected. Maybe an updated TV will make it even better.

We are in Portland multiple times every year to visit family and always stay here. The prices are good, the rooms are decent, the location is convenient to the airport as well as to other sites we frequent. But, what really keeps us coming back is the friendly staff.

Great view of the ocean. Loved the hot tub. Will come back again.

If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel close to public transport, this is a great option. I was on a self-paid business trip and needed a convenient spot close to downtown and surrounding communities. The staff were helpful; the rooms themselves are what you expect from a lower-star rating hotel. I felt the rooms needed some updating, but were overall clean and seemed taken care of.

Room was spartan but contained all the elements - comfortable bed, refrig, microwave, coffee maker... Hallway smelled like smoke but the room was good. Good way to save a lot of $ if you are just looking for a place to lay your head. We didn't try the hot tub. Breakfast was fine, but thanks to timing (a family making four or five waffles - we didn't stick around long enough to find out) we didn't get what looked like the best part of breakfast.

I called in advance because my arrival was going to be much later than planned. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. Would stay here again.

Rooms need some tlc. Toilet lid was so flimsy felt like you were sitting on no cover. The room was just outdated pretty bad. I wouldn't have paid 78$ if I knew it was just ordinary. Most I would pay to be here is 50$. Wouldn't have been dissappointed if it was cheaper.

Good, friendly staff. Clean hot tub. Location a walk to Max. Inexpensive place, but clean.

it is a nice hotel, clean, friendly, good free breakfast. the only thing bothers me at first night is the light rail noise. overall it is a good place to stay.

They had what they offered: microwave, free wifi, fridge, etc. What they lacked was an above-and-beyond quality for the room. It worked, but that coupled with the distance from the Portland event center, we may go elsewhere next time. Otherwise, their nonsmoking rooms did carry the scent of smokers just a few doors down...
