My wife and I were heading up to Portland for a quick weekend getaway, just an overnight to take in some sights, sips and shopping. Trying to be close to the downtown area but not wanting to spend over five hundred dollars on a room in the immediate area, this was just close enough to be within walking distance (20-minute walk) and fit the bill at less than half that cost. Hotel was super clean, room was nice, great amenities in the room, breakfast offerings were more than expected for a typical continental breakfast, and staff was smiley and helpful. Very nice experience!

Quick check in, clean room, plenty of free parking. Downtown is less than 2 miles away.

I had a wonderful time staying at this inn. The staff was very hospitable and courteous to us. They also provided a lot of amenities I did not even know they had which I enjoyed. The rooms were great, comfortable and always clean.

Very nice staff especially to young man who picked us up at train station

I booked this thru o Orbitz and overpaid terribly. I was in a panic because motels all seemed To be full. Motel is in bad shape. One day housekkeeping only half cleaned The room!! Made one bed and put in fresh towels. That was it. Didn't empty trash, make second bed or tidy up the room. A really positive was the front desk staff They were so wonderful that I wondered why they were working there!!!

in town for a wake/funeral. Very friendly staff, no problem with a late check-out. Looking forward to coming back for a visit again.

I recently had to make an unexpected trip to Portland for a one-night stay, and it was a very pleasant experience in this hotel. The hotel seemed to be recently renovated, and the price was very fair, and included breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.

I was looking for an inexpensive overnight to break up a long journey. The hotel was basic and clean, with no real amenities, but I wasn't expecting any. It was clean and the staff was pleasant. The continental breakfast was sufficient. My one complaint was the mattress, by far the lumpiest one I have ever experienced in American lodging.

Great place! The staff were nice and everything was clean. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was nice and clean as well as the staff was very friendly as well as helpful. They were very professional. Just don't eat at the Chinese place around the corner. It was the worst food I've ever eaten. Hotel - Great Food next door- Bad

Very blah not like the commercials....... bad area of town..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Everything was fine. no problems. Do not aske me to write more. that is not okay. You are lucky to get anything

My wife and I spent a long weekend here this summer and returned for an NCAA hockey season opening tournament. Easy access from highway and ample parking, but not in walking distance of any downtown attractions other than the AA Seadogs stadium, a block away the downtown area is an easy 10 minute drive. Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast (cereals, waffles, etc) is included in price and the room was clean and quiet. Free wi-fi a plus would have liked a larger screen, HD tv with more cable channels, but that shortcoming was not a big deal since we weren't in the room enough to miss it!

Nice enough hotel. Nothing special. Hard bed. Just a little walk, or $5 cab ride to downtown. Super nice staff, very helpful and courteous.

I wanted an inexpensive place for a bike exploration of Portland. This place fit the bill: good breakfast, great wi-fi connection, good location (near the Amtrak Station). They were very accommodating for my bicycle. Only drawback: a little pricey for their class of motel/hotel.

No reflection on La Quinta, but hotel prices during the weekend we stayed were definitely inflated for some reason. The hotel rates downtown were ridiculous (Manhattan rates) so we opted to stay at La Quinta which was 1.5 miles from where the restaurants and taverns are located. The room was an average hotel room at best, we found the beds to be uncomfortable, hotel was clean but more updates are needed and the breakfast was below average. Aside from the typical fruits, pastries and cereals, hot waffles and hard boiled eggs just are not on par with other hotels in this class. For business I spend around 30-40 days a year in 3 star hotels and La Quinta Portland missed the boat.

Both visits at your hotel were pleasant [one with my hubby over Memorial Day and one this past week]. Must give kudos to your biggest asset TYLER .........so pleasant and accommodating and your shuttle drivers especially Griff who ran me back to the hotel 'cause I forgot my ID to get on the train to Old Orchard..............our maid, Melissa, was great about working around our schedule and Camilla was very sweet shuttling my sister from the airport. My husband and I love your location and shuttle convenience. The pool is something we enjoy although it needed cleaning when we arrived. Thanks again and we will definitely be staying with you on future visits.

This hotel was nice, clean and good price. It's probably 2 miles away from Portland attractions and you can just drive there, there's plenty of parking around.

Adequate-safe-clean. Pricey for the level of amenities.

It's good, not so far from the place of my conference. It's a good walk from the center to the hotel, and there are some delicious restaurants on the way.
