When we arrived at the hotel I checked in and then went out to get our luggage and move the car. I sent my wife in to request a pack in play for our two year old child. The desk staff were unwilling to help her and made things very difficult for her. They were unwilling to help with the request stating she needed to check in first. She told them I had already checked in they still would not help her until I came back into the hotel room. The rooms were very outdated and not very clean. We found several ants in the room. The hair dryer did not work. The TV did not work very well. It did not even fit on the TV stand so turned at an angle. We were unable to use the luggage cart because of a stairway in the middle of the hallway. The staff was not very helpful, we needed to do laundry and they did not have a washer and dryer. We asked if their was laundromat nearby and they said their was one across the street. We got our dirty clothes together and went down to find where the laundromat was and then they informed us then it was closed.

Everything was fine. Nothing to complain about. Front decks was friendly and check in was easy.

Very nice employees. Room was quiet with a lot of TV channels. Airport shuttle drivers were kind and professional.

My son and I needed a place to spend one night in Portland that was easy to find and convenient to a Congress Street neighborhood. SoPoHoJo fit the bill perfectly; it was very easy to locate from the Maine Turnpike and close to our final destination.

We checked in late Friday night and the experience was horrible he was slow, mean, indifferent and just unpleasant. I called back to get the wifi password after check in and he say "I wrote it on the key". The only work writing on the sleeve of the key was the room number and the work Thanks. How was I supposed to know thanks was the password but maybe because he was so rude he would have never just said thanks to me. Also I may be picky but I hate when people won't give me things back in my hand he barely made eye contact and just put my credit card and ID down on the counter instead of giving it back to me. Once in the room he sheets were thin and no extra blankets were available and although we kept the heat on 90 the entire stay we never got warm.

I have stayed here twice in the past month. Both times, the staff was very nice. They helped me with a reservation issue that was not their fault. They also arranged for early check-in.

Room was clean , quiet would stay again also recommend to other travelers

Stayed here two nights and our family enjoyed the pool, ample breakfast, hot shower, and firm beds. Right on Rt 1, so it was easy to get where we were going in Portland, Scarborough, and Kennebunkport. Staff were friendly and not overbearing, as well.

1. Cheap but they did charge my card for more then what my receipt said.. 2. Not the cleanest rooms 3. Small pool 4. Not enough staff to ensure safety at the pool enforce rules 5 inside pool is nice but small 6 Discrimination on sports teams. Best part having a indoor pool and they made sure everyone had rooms near eachother

Close to restaurants and other interests. Easy to get to and from.

Staff very nice and accominating. Pool warm and clean breakfast fresh eggs and sausage

Very accommodating, clean, room full of amenities like fridge and microwave. Indoor pool and CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST Bed and pillows worn out but overall good stay

Room was far from lobby and breakfast area and should have a small refrigerator and microwave but was clean and a nicr room.

My husband and I booked this hotel last-minute on an impromptu side trip to Portland. I had never been to the area before, and wasn't expecting the hotel to be so far from downtown Portland-- South Portland is really a suburb more than a part of the town. But compared to the pricey downtown Portland chains, the 10-15 minute drive was well worth it! The room was quiet, comfortable, appeared clean, with a great shower. Check-in was speedy and easy and the staff were friendly and professional. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone planning on hitting the bars in town, due to the drive, but it's otherwise a great spot- close enough to be convienient but far enough to be affordable!

This was a last minute getaway and we found that the location was perfect for a night in downtown Portland and then finding a spot to stay.

We appreciated being able to leave our car for the duration of our trip abroad and being able to crash there when we returned. The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff helpful and pleasant and the breakfast very satisfying.

The hotel is fine and having the airport shuttle is awesome. A quick pickup and drop-off with pleasant driver.

Great room! Had a lot of fun and the hotel was very pretty. Will definitely stay here again when we go to Portland again. Thanks for great hospitality! !!
