Our double queen room was spacious and clean and featured a double wide jetted tub...nice! There were other rooms w/dogs in them, but we never heard a bark. Friendly staff, good breakfast. (weak coffee!) Beds a bit soft for our tastes, but definitely survivable. Wifi a bit slow but you could upgrade for $6.95/dy if you needed speed for work-related use. Reasonable. $25/night for our kitty.
This hotel is on the edge of a freeway in a mall parking lot. Convenient to the mall and travel. We stayed with our sons basketball team. The pool advertised on the sign outside the hotel and on the website had been out of commission for months prior to our arrival. We were not aware of this when we made our reservation. It's tough to keep a bunch of energetic pre-teen and teenage boys occupied in a mall parking lot at a hotel without a pool. We tried the mall but their running made the security guards nervous, understandably so. Breakfast was cozy and included a woman that I don't believe was a guest. She took her time refilling her energy drink can with orange juice from the dispenser, after riffling through EVERY cupboard and drawer, then sauntered out the back foot with her plate piled heigh and wrapped in a plastic grocery sack. I would think twice about what you're looking for when booking a room here.
They need to add wi-fi relay units - the signal is almost gone at the ends of the hallways. Spa was out of service and it looked like no one was going to work on it. Staff is quite friendly. Nice location to the only mall in Vancouver and I-205.
I stay at many hotels, all the time. This one is average. Nothing special. Stayed one night on our way to Astoria, Katlynn at the front desk was super nice. The rooms are small. Our bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke which some one was probably smoking downstairs, went to tell the desk but no one was there, probably running around. Breakfast was your average hot hotel breakfast. The Hotel is quiet, expect for the elevator that sounds like it is going to fall when going to the 4th floor. We stopped back by after Astoria again .Katylnne was back and again, super sweet. I understand they are not equipped for the snow but the ice and walkways and parking lot was a mess. At least try to figure that out. No clue why dogs are $27 extra, when most Comforts are $10 but oh well.
This is an older property, with large spacious rooms. My Jacuzzi room was under $100, a great value for the Portland area. My room was very quiet. It is adjacent to a large mall, with many restaurants nearby. Staff were very helpful.
We stayed 3 nights at this small hotel. The staff was nice, the rooms clean and though pretty fullof other guests it was relatively quiet. It is in a good location (close to freeways and other main roads) and next to a mall if that is of interest to you. The breakfast was decent, with plenty of options to appease our 2 and 5 year old. Though there was some construction underway in front of the main entrance, it was only a minor inconvenience. The pool was open and a little cold (the hot tub was closed for maintenance) but was perfect for the kids. I would stay again if I needed to be in the area.
The rooms were cozy, the whirlpool tub is beyond amazing and the staff are super friendly. The indoor pool is nice and clean, the breakfast was delicious and hot and fresh. I love that they had DIRECTV and the wifi connection is excellent.
Taylor was at the front desk. She sure knows customer service and made sure it was easy to get checked in and very helpful. Love the breakfast and the clean room Maria sure knows how to take care of the breakfast room and stocked.
The visit started out with a very friendly and helpful staff. we were given the option of a bottom or upstairs room. having younger kids we chose down stairs. The suit we had was very large and accommodating. The beds were nice a large. Only thing wrong was the pull out bed did not have any bedding on it and we had to call the front desk and request bedding. The front desk quickly supplied bedding. The stay was above average! and I would recommend this hotel to others!
I had a business trip in Portland and brought the family along. My 7 year old daughter loved the indoor pool. The hot tub was not working at the time. The Breakfast is the standard for the Choice hotels, and pretty was good. My wife like the waffles and I could not get enough of the thinnest bacon strips I have ever seen. The location was good and not too far away from downtown Portland. the staff was super friendly and they had cookies going all night. The hotel is a little dated, but clean. I would recommend this place and we will stay here again.
