Casita Alegre at beautiful Knight's Beach, Port Elliot, is a scenic 80km drive south of Adelaide in South Australia on the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula. Your ultimate seaside destination - luxuriously appointed for 8 guests. Casita Alegre is located at one of the most sought after locations on the South Coast.

The Casita Alegre is a self contained lower level apartment only - situated on the cliff top of Knights Beach, it truly feels like the waves will crash into the living room, It adds a new meaning to waterfront. The property is delightfully decorated with 'a touch of Mexico' decor, and comprises of 4 bedrooms. Bedrooms 1 and 2 contain queen-size beds, the third bedroom consists of 2 singles, and the fourth bedroom is a curtained off room containing 2 single bunk beds. The property has 2 bathrooms - one is en-suite to bedroom one, and the other is a full bathroom with bath/shower.

The tastefully decorated, kitchen, dining and living areas offer full frontal views to the surf and the dining area has double sliding doors to your own private paved area for that ideal lay in the sun or barbeque. The living area contains LCD TV, DVD and CD player and the same stunning views of waves crashing over granite rocks, seals, dolphins and whales along with the ever present surfers for your entertainment and delight.

Included in this deluxe package is gas BBQ with picnic table, RC air-conditioning for year-round comfort. The property has full laundry with washing machine, dryer and a single lock up garage.

The property is in the convenient location for day trips to destinations like Kangaroo Island, many local wineries and challenging golf courses. There are great local restaurants within walking distance or even take the cliff walk to Flying Fish at Horseshoe Bay, famous for its award-winning Flathead at the kiosk, or go upmarket in the main restaurant.

Pathetic service

My husband and I booked and provided our credit card on Thursday for a weekend stay at port Elliot. Harcourt’s the agents emailed to say the owners were confirming availability. On Friday at 3 I sent an email asking for a response. I received an email at 4.36 on Friday telling me the owners were using the place for the weekend. Absolutely pathetic service all round. Will use another site next time

An expensive disappointment

Repeated power failures in parts of the house throughout the weekend. Difficult entry from garage to house: down 3 narrow steps to lounge then up 3 narrow steps to kitchen. No coffee machine, no teapot. Only doonas, no blankets TV reception poor. Nowhere to hang wet beach towels.
