Stayed at this hotel as part of a tour of the east with my husband. Brilliant place with very personal attention by the owners and staff. Breakfast each day was brilliant and the location of the hotel fantastic. We had a sea view ground floor apartment and it had everything you could need. The on site laundry was especially useful since we were half way through a three week holiday. Kylie suggested a specialist bird watching trip with Del Richards at 'finefeathers'. Which was just what we had wanted to do. The on site Restaraunt came highly recommended so we tried that on our last night and ere very impressed. Would very much recommend this hotel.
A charming little Boutique right on Four Mile Beach and an easy walk to all the shops, restaurants and ice cream shops of Port Douglas. The hospitality starts with a warm welcome from hosts Kylie and Gavin and continues right through until they wave goodbye. The bartender offers imaginative drinks, the restaurant delicious meals, and in September the architecturally striking pool is warmer and considerable calmer than the Coral Sea. A lovely home from which to explore and enjoy everything this lovely region has to offer.
Perfectly located, beautiful rooms, amazing restaurant, breakfast was great and service was the best in Australia. If we go back to Australia, this will definitely be the hotel we chose as it was perfect in every way.
Our last night in Peninsula Boutique Hotel. A must if you are visiting Port Douglas. From our arrival and throughout our week stay here Kylie, Gavin and all the team have made us feel so welcome. Lovely spacious room excellent facilities. Breakfast great choice of cold and hot options. Restaurant overlooking beach with lovely views and food to match. Pool area very relaxing and peaceful. Being just across from the beach they even brought sun loungers over for us. Can't praise this hotel enough. Loved everything here and highly recommend. Looking forward to a return visit next year.
This is a special but unpretentious boutique beachfront property at the tip of the golden triangle, within a hop, skip + jump of Macrossan Street. Fabulous, friendly service from the new owners Gavin + Kylie and their team. I look forward to returning again when I next visit Port Douglas.
Have just revisited the Peninsula and it is better than ever with new management. Kylie and Gavin are efficient, friendly and approachable and nothing seems to much trouble. This hotel, right opposite the main beach, is really unique. The surf club is 2 minute walk and the main st shops about the same. It really is position perfect. The units are adequate and have everything you would need and the outdoor spaces inviting. A very good breakfast is included which is quite a saving. Bikes are available at no cost and there are always some beach chairs and umbrellas to borrow. Rooms are serviced daily. Hi tide restaurant is a bonus and there is a lovely little bar. I have given this a 5 star even though some units are quite small. There is nothing else like this in Port Douglas! Back next year!
We returned to our go to place in Port Douglas early September and it was like being home again. New managers Kylie and Gavin were so welcoming as we're all the crew. If you're looking for a child free boutique studio apartment hotel across the road from the beach this is it. We specifically wanted ground floor patio suite again for the spectacular views not blocked by a balcony. Walked straight out of the sliding doors to the beach at sunrise to do some photography. Partner headed off for daily ritual 4 mile beach walk, literally. Breakfast by the the pool fantastic, chef, loved your blueberry hotcakes! Apartments have kitchenette and we bought some supplies a bit of smoked salmon, cream cheese, ice cream, etc for snacks and lunch on the patio! Pool is divine, private and clean. Upstairs next to jacuzzi, another private area to lie down and enjoy a good book. Restaurant on premises very good; ate there twice and had room service once. Easy walk into town, very quiet location, hearing waves crashing at night is beautiful white noise. Can't praise all staff highly enough, they made it that much more extra special, you're all fantastic. Port Douglas our favourite place for a getaway and perfect time weather wise before the wet season begins.
From the moment we walked in we loved it here. The rooms are spacious, have everything you need and are comfortable. The staff, without exception, is helpful, friendly and kind. The buffet breakfast is delicious with lots of options and the restaurant is great also. We highly recommend staying here...across from the beach and at the edge of a very walkable town.
Just a great little hotel in every way, run by wonderful owners and staff. Right smack on Four Mile Beach at the foot of Macrosson Street shops, restaurants, and gelato stands. Lots of unexpected little treats, not least being the fully equipped free guest laundry. Very comfortable rooms, great breakfast, striking pool and spa, nice innovative restaurant. Wish we could have stayed longer, or could move in permanently. We hope Kylie and Gavin are fabulously successful. They certainly deserve it, and you should come visit them.
Our stay at the Peninsula Boutique Hotel exceeded our expectations. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Kylie and Gavin. Throughout our time they went out of their way to make us feel very welcome and nothing seemed too much trouble. The staff also went out of their way to make us feel at home. They went the extra step to be helpful from making suggestions of places to go for dinner and even making reservations on our behalf at restaurants. Nothing seemed to be a problem from getting drinks, towels and when my husband was not feeling well, organising an appointment at the medical centre and transport. Our room was very nice and spacious, we had a lovely view from our room and courtyard of 4 Mile Beach. The area around the pool area was very inviting and relaxing to sit and read a book. The food at Hi Tide Restaurant was great, as was the option of having dinner around the pool area when the area overlooking 4 Mile Beach was a bit windy. I would highly recommend the Peninsula Boutique Hotel and thank Kylie, Gavin and their staff for making our short break so enjoyable. Sent from my iPad
