We were really pleased with our room. It was large, well- appointed. Our room was on the lower floor and our window actually looked out on a grassy bank, but that protects us from street noises. There was good lighting, lots of plug-ins, good WiFi, good TV. There was a closet with iron and ironing board. There was an indoor pool & hit tub. Breakfast with eggs, waffles, yogurt, etc. We will remember this hotel the next time we stay in Pocatello.
Arrived earlier in the day & was greeted by a very friendly lady behind the counter. She set me up with getting into my room. When I arrived in the room & it felt very comfortable & inviting. Looked very clean, the bed was very comfortable & the pillows were comfy too. Great location, right off the interstate. I will stay here again when I'm in this area.
The girl at the front desk to check in couldn't have been nicer, building is noticeably an older facility but clean nonetheless and very tidy well kept. They still ask for a copy of your drivers license upon check-in ?? And could use the rapid check out slide the receipt under your door ,other than that not a bad place to stay in Pocatello.
I usually pass by this area few times a year, so I usually stay with them. Great staff and they take care of me. It is right off the freeway so it is easily reachable. The rooms are nice and renovated and comfortable.
This hotel is older and not well maintained! The key wouldn't work on an outside door near our room. The latch fell over our locked room door and the maintenance had to be called! He managed to open the door but likely did a bandaid repair! The atmosphere was rundown and the room was $95: for seniors! Breakfast was OK and the desk girl Page was very helpful.
I stayed at this hotel on a Friday night with my son for a basketball tournament, we checked in late after the games and upon entering the room we heard a high pitched sound coming from the bathroom, maybe the wall or maybe the toilet, not sure. It stopped after a minute and I thought if it weren't so late or if the hotel weren't packed full with athletes I would have asked for another room. I didn't. I woke up during the night to the sound again around midnight and again around 4:00am and then it almost wouldn't stop around 6:30 am. I recorded the sound with my phone and in the morning when I checked out I showed the clerk what I experienced. She was friendly enough but when she told me she put in a maintenance request and took $10 off my bill I was shocked at how little she was willing to discount my room. I asked her if she could do anything more and she telephoned the manager, then gave me another $10 off. I was not impressed. I could have driven the 2 hours home and slept better in my quiet room and saved a lot more money but I stayed here instead. I know I should have complained the moment I heard the noise, but I knew every hotel in the area was booked because of all the different events going on that weekend, I didn't think they had a spare room. The bed was comfortable, the room clean, the free breakfast about what you would expect at a basic continental. The pool was basic (indoor) and fairly small. The walls are pretty thin and I could hear people walking in the hall and the neighbor going in and out of their room until midnight (right around the time when the pool closed). I wouldn't stay here again because of the noise. I would submit the video of the high pitches noise but it appears I can only upload photos. Believe me, it was loud, and annoying!
I have stayed at this Comfort Inn on a few occasions and have NEVER been given an upgrade not a decent room! I ALWAYS get the ground floor, which is good but I invariably get stuck in the backside of the hotel. If you don't want to look out your window at an 8 foot concrete wall, then be prepared to ask for and pay more to get a room where you can see daylight out your window! This time, I used points to book a room and ended up on the ground floor and the back corner again ....even though the hotel was mostly empty! It's time to find a new hotel to stay in when I travel through Pocatello! I am tired of the abuse from this hotel.
.After being on the road for almost 10 hours, this was a great stop, the best cookies we have had at a Comfort Inn. Room was clean and quiet. The only drawback is there is no elevator and the rooms are a little worn out.
After getting detoured in Yellowstone via west entrance due to forest fire and needing to be in Colorado the very next day, had to stop driving for the night and got a room at this hotel. No luggage carts. Front desk person said "oh well. Must be in someone's room". Took 4 trips to and from the car to bring my belongings in. Rubber Tub mat was covered in mold. Wrapped it in a towel to give to someone at the desk in the morning hoping it would be someone else at the front desk. After presenting it to her, the only thing she said was that she would bring it to housekeeping's attention. No apology, nothing. Never ever again. Would rather sleep in my car.
Pulled a long day with many a mile under my belt for the day and decided to stop for the day here. First off the lady that checked me in was pleasant and accommodating. Lobby was clean and well stocked with drinks and fresh cookies. The room was great, clean and well stocked for all my needs. Would give them at least 6 stars if I could.
