The area around hotel is beautiful, cool to see the animals running around. Beware of coatis, we've seen them jump on the tables and steal food and drinks pretty aggressively even if you are sitting there. Overall a decent option, however 2 complaints: 1) on our last night, one of staff members was trying to get into our room at 11 pm and was loudly yelling the name of other staff member. She was quite surprised to see that we are in the room and we didn't appreciate being woken up for no reason. 2) discovered a hornets nest in coffee cafe area, alerted 3 different staff members about it and they did nothing! Our friend got bit by the hornet and the nest was still there when we left few days after. So be aware of your surroundings!

I liked beach very much and buffet was good. Stuff was friendly and helpful. I didn’t like restaurants.

Catalonia Maroma one of the best Jungle Hotel

Great resort! Very nice staff beautiful beaches ! Food was very good too!

Hmm im not sure where to start.. so beginning it was okay.. check in process was alright until we were able to check into our room. room smells like a wet dog and and they dont provide hair dryer... also there are animal...i meant.. a lot of animal around the resorts that they will jump on you if you have food. Also i am not sure if its animal who does it but there are poops everywhere on the hotel especially hallways of the resort... and cleaners don't clean them. They would come to empty our trash but i'll be seeing same poop that i saw in the morning until the next day. Also this hotel there are no smoke free zone other than inside of the restaurant. These people will smoke everywhere and put ashes of cigarettes everywhere on the resort. I would see people smoking while they are inside the pool. I've been to cancun so many times but.. this hotel was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in my whole entire life. I am not sure how they were able to be 5 star hotels.. but trust me this star should get negative 5 ...

Paid more for a renovated room and furniture looked used

This property was abstract from what is being advertised online; landscape, building and services. This property was an apartment-styled resort that reeked of smell and had coites fecal matter on the balcony. We were going to miss our arrival and alerted the property and Orbitz. The property made it hard to get a refund. When we checked in they offered us a room that was not clean. The room reeked of smell and the bed was not made. They upgraded us for this inconvenience but we feel it’s a downgrade because the new room was smaller and lacked the amenities of our premium room that we first got. Overall, this place and its staffs lack professionalism. Food choices were limited and they tried hard to sell American cuisine rather than Mexican style cuisine. I would give a zero star if the option is available. There is no interaction with people because the property is located in a remote beach of moramo. Places Near the Riviera could be better but Cancun resorts are in a remote area. There is limited activities in resorts around these area

Nice place prepared to walks a lot. You can makes reservations to the restaurant so it’s full and you can’t get in!!

The food was decent, property wasn’t to my liking there was a really awful smell as I walked to my room.

what i did not like is how far the lobby was to my room. Also i was having problems with the plastic door card. For 3 straight nights i had to walk back to the lobby to pick up new cards because the door handle was not taking the key card to open the door. Was told it was going to get fixed. The staff people were trying to blame me for it.

Property was very nice and clean. Staff was amazing even though they might've been short on staff. What I didn't like it was to far from the things we normally do out there. $50 roundtrip taxi ride was just a bit to much where before it was walking distance. Overall its was a nice place to stay.

The staff was wonderful- all very kind and helpful. We particularly enjoyed Armando, who was our waiter every night in the buffet restaurant.

Only single restaurant open per night. If you were not at certain time in line, you had to wait 1-2 hrs, or even didn’t get in. Unfortunately the buffet is sub par and some nights even 5.99 Chinese buffet would feel like a 5 star meal compared to Catalonia’s buffet. There was barely anything for our kids to eat. Why not add chicken nuggets and hot dogs to buffet always? We feel like we went about a year too early. I fully understand the recovery from covid, but when resort is over half full, you just have to have more food options. Also the wait in line for everything is exhausting. Overall we won’t be back.

I liked that it was in a jungle. I disliked the service and the restrictions they had in place because of COVID and because it was raining during our stay.
