Dirty, nothing clean sheets not changed. What looked to be a puke stain on the floor, cereal inside the pull out couch. I took pictures and the cleaning staf tried to stop me. Worst hotel ever, we left a couple hours after we checked in and will never return.

Very friendly workers and staff

The bedding was clean, the room was okay, the floor was extremely dirty with stains. The bathroom was very rundown. Sink in the bathroom was cracked, hole in room door, the room we were in needed a facelift. The hotel was quiet and the employees were very pleasant.

The price was reasonable. Very close to wings event center. The clerk at the desk was super friendly and efficient.

Beware! Company charged me a smoking fee, I not only have asthma, but I sleep with a breathing machine. Febreeze sprayed the room as it had a distinct mold/mildew smell present. I will be returning in person to demand my money back

What hotel doesn't have the air conditioning on in reserved rooms - in August! We entered a sweltering furnace and found the thermostat set to Off. We turned it on and it eecked to life, starting the 6 hour long task of lowering the temperature in the room to a reasonable level. We asked the desk person who told us matter-of-factly that they leave them off in case the room isn't rented, that way they don't waste electricity - But, our room was rented and paid for. She didn't seem to care. Our only option was the uninviting and vacant indoor pool where the water sported a greenish tint we had seen most recently on the show where they hunt alligators - no thanks. Our room was inhabitable somewhere around 3 a.m., the little air conditioner working like a champ for which we were thankful. Hotels in the Portage/Kalamazoo area are way overpriced and you never really know what you'll find. I'm glad we only stayed one night. We'll keep trying as we have family up there and keep hoping the Radisson downtown, the only consistently nice but out of our price-range, hotel, runs a special inline with one of our trips...

I will not be using this property again. I booked a room for 3 employees. All 3 had very negative things to say about their room. 1 of them had to change rooms 3 times due to unclean lines, blood on the pillow, and just basic unclean room. Another had mold in his fridge, a weird smell in the room. He ended up changing rooms on his first night there, on the 3 night, the sheets came off the bed he found a huge blood spot on the mattress. The last person said that his fridge smelled like something had died in it. He never used it or even opened it. He also was not impressed with the cleanliness of the room. I would highly recommend not booking this property.

It was my anniversary and I wanted to surprise my wife with a night away from home and the kids. I went to the hotel early to check in to set the room up. The first two rooms I was given were unacceptable. The room has a inroom hottub and the front door to the room had a half inch gap in the door so anyone could see right in the room. The third room had a door that closed so I accepted the room and decorated it for the night. My wife and I went to the casino and dinner then made our way to the hotel to stay. We went in the spa in the room then got ready for bed. The room was extremely hot and I noticed the ac would come on for a minute or 2 then just blow hot air for 5-10 minutes. So at two in the morning we packed up and went to the front desk to say we cannot stat in the room its 100 degrees and the ac is not working. The response I got from the fron desk was "hhmmmmmm" and not another word. So we drove home at 2-3am and went to bed. Was a terrible exerience and would never set foot in there again. That hotel should be priced at 50 bucks a night. Sorry

For the cost of the room, and the area it’s located (right near airport) we expected more from a Country Inn and Suites. We have spent many, many nights at CIS and we were shocked at the hotel condition. Feels like rooms are barely hanging on. Many coats of paint on doors make it hard for bathroom door to close, definately can’t lock. Handle on shower/tub completely broken, crashed into tub every time we went to use it. Sink was clogged and not draining (which they came and fixed upon a second request). The staff were very nice, helping to compensate for state of this hotel. Morning breakfast person looked like she just rolled out of bed with pajamas on and messy hair, very unprofessional, but she was nice. The pool was about 100 degrees, almost like a large hot tub. Not a terrible experience, but we will be more aware when booking next time.

Convenient to visit our friends,. Housekeeping needs improvement.

Closer to the airport than I thought. Nice clean room. Beds were comfy not lumpy or hard. Excellent continental breakfast. Will definitely stay again when I’m in town

We have stayed at this hotel many times when visiting family and friends in Kalamazoo. The room we stayed in this time is becoming to show it's age. All in all comfortable and convenient place to stay.

We chose this hotel because we had stayed there before and because of the chain it belong to and our good experience with it. However, when we arrived, this particular hotel was seriously aged, not very well kept and the staff was not overly friendly or helpful. We will not be staying here again.

good breakfast was poor- completely different from what we saw online. they ran out of eggs more than an hour before breakfast was over and refused to make more no hot meals except waffles. I was dissapointed

Sinks were stained and faucets dripped. Toilet did not flush completely and screeched. Too noisy. Air conditioner right next to foot of bed. Sofa smelled musty. Bad experience.

Common area had odor - needs to be cleaned and updated. Room was clean but bathroom toilet was not cleaned well before or during our stay. The beds and pillows were some of the best we have had in a long time - fantastic sleep. Breakfast was the standard fair for this type of hotel and was good. Staff was very polite. Good value for the money.

I am very sorry that you smelled smoke - of any kind - at our property. We do our best to ensure that smokers do not smoke in our nonsmoking rooms or common areas, both of which results in a bad musty smell; and when a situation like this occurs, we try to address it immediately, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting to restore the clean smell of our accommodations. Guest satisfaction is top priority at our hotel; for that reason, we truly appreciate your feedback about the guest experience at the hotel. We do not allow smoking in common areas at all and we will be implementing stricter measures in the future. Thank you.
