I was in town for a trade show, and this location is far enough away from Downtown so as not to be overly expensive, yet close enough to be convenient. The hotel looks like it was recently renovated, everything was quite nice in the lobby as well as in the room. Steve at the front desk is a shining example of Customer Service. Not only was he able to recommend several restaurants, but when I asked for directions to a local supermarket so I could buy a couple of AAA batteries for my camera, he reached into the stash he had behind the desk and gave me a couple. A small gesture, but often the little things make a big difference to the overall quality of your stay.
Great service at check in and out, The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is ok for the fact it is included, but could use some improvements. Bathrooms are updated and clean. Beds are very comfortable and nice linen on them.
I was in Pittsburgh for my mom’s funeral. I just want to thank the staff at the Comfort Inn on McKnight Road. Steve was exceptional!! He went above and beyond call of duty. Helped us move boxes from car to room, our pipes in the bathroom became frozen he worked on them but it was so cold it was an unsuccessful try, but he opened an other room so we could shower, checked in several times to see if there was anything else he could, at this difficult time. I can’t thank him enough for what he did. I will stay here for my future trips to Pittsburgh. They were awesome!! Thank you again for making a difficult trip a little easier. Joyce
We were in town for the Steelers game. We stayed Saturday and Sunday nights. The Staff was very helpful when we checked in. There was a suggestion for a shuttle to the game which i also highly recommend. The room was very clean. It was a little small but it was just the two of us so it was fine. The bathroom was also very nice. The staff we encountered during our stay were very pleasant. There was a small refrigerator which was a nice surprise. Unlike another review it did not take 10 miles to go in the opposite direction. There was a turn just a mile down the street. There were many restaurants in the area. Our room faced the main road but there was no street noise in the room. We had breakfast both days. Saturday there was a lot of people coming and going so there was a shortage of eggs and breakfast meat. The staff member was certainly hustling to make sure there was a replenishment if food and coffee. We will definitely stay here again when in town!!
The room was clean and the hotel staff was helpful and polite. I was there for 2 nights and it was very nice for both of them. Bathroom was well accomodated and I really can't think of anything I could complain about. The only negative I can think of is if you are going the one direction down McKnight road it isn't obvious on how one actually turns into this parking lot. Look for the Exxon and take a right turn into that parking lot and exit onto the side street. You will see what I mean, it's the soonest place you can turn around.
Extremely friendly and accommodating service and staff, incredibly clean, super comfortable and quiet. Definitely will be staying here again. We went to a show at Mr Smalls Theater, so this was a close location to get an über to the venue and back to the hotel. Highly recommend staying here
Good location only 10 minutes from downtown with plenty of restaurants within a short drive. Hotel is modern, very clean and comfortable. My room overlooked the busy McKnight Road, but despite this it was quiet. Staff were all helpful and friendly and check in and check out were quick and easy. Breakfast was basic, but good and the attendants did an excellent job restocking everything and keeping the room clean. Highly recommended for the budget traveler and will stay again,
Staff was very friendly, room was clean. Breakfast was nice and coffee was excellent! We booked under AAA. Have found that online booking may not show availability but thru AAA we found a room at a GREAT price. In town for the Steelers game.
Room and bathroom were updated and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Neighborhood was not very nice and it was a little tricky to get in and out. Halls looked rundown but rooms were nice although small.
This was a nice, fairly new, small hotel on McKnight Road in Ross township, north of Pittsburgh. Good breakfast with adequate seating for guests. The room was quiet and clean with a comfortable bed. There is only one elevator but that seems to be adequate for the size of the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. No restaurants in the immediate area; for that you would have to drive north a few miles on McKnight Road (ask staff for ideas). Access: FROM the hotel it is easy to get directly onto southbound I-279 into Pittsburgh. However, getting TO the hotel can be tricky. If driving north on McKnight Road, it is necessary to drive a short distance north past the hotel (on the other side of the road), turn RIGHT at a traffic light onto Nelson Run Road, do a U turn on that road and back to the light. Then go thru the light to get on southbound McKnight Road, and then go a short distance to the hotel on your right.
