It was a good stay in general terms. However, there were a couple of issues that lowered my rating. 1) We ordered drinks at the lobby bar. The place was not crowded and it surprised me the waiter took a good 10 minutes to have our order given to the bartender. She in fact gave the bartender our order when I inquired about it. She blamed him for the delay because he was on the phone. He was taking a phone order and it was her that took 10 min. to act. 2) The room was clean, comfortable and clean, but the A/C system was not working and needed to have their repair person come over to fix it which would disturb out privacy. 3) It was our anniversary and wanted a special dinner Saturday night. We called 3 times to reserve a table near the window, facing the beautiful gardens. At dinner time we were told the table was reserved by somebody else. We mentioned our 3 calls. The waiter said it was reserved by somebody important or the owner (?) of the hotel. We kept asking and then, the waiter graciously made a phone call and was authorized to allow us to use it. So....it was not really reserved for anybody specific, was it? He also remarked that the restaurant makes no promises in terms of reserving tables. Do they or do they not? We were grateful however, I found the incident a bitter reminder of the inconsistency of rules and guidelines most places in Argentina live by
