Enjoyed our stay in a two bedroom apartment in Kamala . Comfortable rooms and furnishings . Very big lounge room and tiny bathroom but overall lots of room with a nice balcony looking over the pool . The breakfast was very good with fresh juices and everything you could want including cooked meats and cheeses . We had dinner in the restaurant whilst it rained outside which was lovely .very nice pina coladas from the pool bar . Walked across the main road to the beach and had a drink at Cafe del Mar which is a beautiful , trendy , bar , restaurant on the beach . Kamala beach is a lovely quiet , clean , tranquil area and a good alternative to busy Patong . Thanks Alice for your excellent customer service , hope to see you again . Also this hotel is fantastic for families , highly recommended .
We liked Swissotel Kampala but found with new management it was not as good as last time. The hotel advertised activities that didn’t happen which was disappointing though we did have the foam party once which was awesome the second one was cancelled which was a shame. The room was good and the breakfast was very good.
The hotel rooms are great. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We love playing in the swimming pool. Everything is well-maintained in the hotel and all of us truly enjoyed our stay there. The food is reasonably priced and delicious!
We stayed at this hotel on August 2019. It is off the main road down a short street which normally would make it quiet. At the moment they are doing a massive extension to to the hotel which had just started during our stay so could be very noisy.the hotel itself is quite nice and well maintained. We had a two bedroom suite. The bedrooms were quite small but living areas balcony were of a good size. Air conditioning was a bit noisy and at times hard to control. Some reviews said the rooms were a bit dated but ours seemed to have been freshened up. I was horrified at the state of the pillows, badly stained and one with blood on it! I had to go through all the pillows to find two useable ones. This hotel seems to encourage families so if you are a couple don't even consider it. Kids everywhere. The pool was crowded and noisy and water of dubious quality ( milky) due to the no of people in the water. Buffet Breakfast was substantial but the crowds made the experience a nightmare. You have to cross the main road to get to the beach which is busy but why you'd want to is beyond me as the beach is the dirtiest I've come across in Asia. Add to this the taxi mafia operating in Phuket and getting to anything can be very expensive. They had quite a nice little restaurant outside the hotel with nice food at reasonable prices but didn't promote it very well.
We spent 10 nights at this resort, 2 x adults, 2 x kids (12 and 14) and we all enjoyed it immensely. The staff were wonderful, would definitely recommend this as a place to stay. It’s on the quieter side of Phuket, but not far to travel into Patong for the shopping etc.
Huge room however bathroom and bedrooms small with little space to move. Lack of power outlets in kitchen. Really great for kids with lots for them to do. Restaurant prices far too expensive and service very slow
Hello everyone! We (2 adults 2 kids, 3 and 5 years) have spent almost a week in this beautiful resort! We loved the specious apartment , the large pool with the slide , morning aqua aerobics, Kids club, evening entertainment for the whole family, amazing outdoor restaurant, cinema ,showing every day a new movie..Very professional, friendly and helpful staff in all departments of the hotel😊 the walking distance to kamala beach is around 7-10 mins👍🏽 We definitely would and will recommend this beautiful resort to everyone!
Arrived late in the evening after long flights and two fractious children. Booking in was seamless and within minutes luggage was in our room. The room was perfect. Very spacious with separate sitting room. Staff were extraordinary and nothing was too much trouble. Lost property - found, child injured after falling over - staff patched them up. Great staff and sad to leave
Enjoyed the swimming pool, very good unlimited buffet breakfast, cleanliness, supportive staff and friendly atmosphere. Games and activities are nice. Kid friendly and helpful staff. Get Grab app and go wherever you want to go, most of them know this hotel.
Currently 5 nights into an 8-night stay Good: staff great, breakfast buffet excellent, well-appointed gym, good pool, wifi works surprisingly well, clean and spacious rooms, good for kids Bad: despite huge rooms, bathrooms are tiny; rooms are a little worn around the edges; Had one brief power cut; but that’s more likely a Thailand thing than hotel specific Staying here off-peak can be a bit lonely. There seems to only be 40 guests here this week. Pros and cons. It means you can always get a table at breakfast, and the sun-loungers are 80% empty, but it also means some of the events - such as last night’s Glow Party... or the daily aqua aerobics - can be flops. The foam party has been cancelled two days in a row - which disappointed my kids. A tad far away from Kamala ‘CBD’ (around a 25-30 minute walk in the heat to the Big C or a 7/11). There are a couple of restaurants and convenience stores nearby however, selling the basics. Good sound-proofing. Walls appear to be solid concrete! Overall, no real complaints. Would return.
