Our family of 4 had the best time at Sunwing, our first overseas holiday together, and first real family holiday spending more than a few days together! We didn’t feel the need to even leave the grounds, the staff made us feel like we were right at home. When we did venture out we loved the surrounds, and the beach was awesome- my husband (a surfer) was even surprised when he was able to catch a few waves!!! Heaven!!

There was a group of 11, holiday with family and friends the rooms were clean and service was great. We traveled with children under 3 and they had all the amenities that’s was required. The staff were very helpful l enjoy Kamala Beach have stayed a couple of times it’s nice to have the beach little eateries not much in shopping but the hotel offered a shuttle service to Patong city approx 15 min ride lots of great memories. Would go back and recommend for family with children.

We have stayed at Sunwing Kamala Beach 3 times and will for sure come back. Perfect family hotel, great food and entertainment and absolutely outstanding service from all staff member, they do make a difference. Can't wait to come back.

We visited with our daughters aged 5, and 18 months, and my parents. The resort is perfect for young families. Our 5 year old LOVED Kid’s Club, where there were lots of fun activities, and lovely kind teachers. In the restaurant there is a colouring in area, which was always filled with happy children, it was so good for them to have something to do together while us adults ate and chatted! The kids buffet is the best invention ever, filled with kiddy food like spaghetti bolognaise, carrot sticks, noodles, even purée for the babies. There were always enough highchairs so our toddler never had to sit on my lap to eat. The adult’s food was tasty and reasonably priced. We all loved the pools, and the beach was better than I expected, very pretty, and safe without big waves. We had the Happy Baby Room which I would recommend because it opens out to the pool, and there are no stairs. After we left Sunwing Kamala I realised that I had left something in the room, the housekeeping staff found it and forwarded to our next hotel. I was really impressed and would like to thank them.

We've spend time at both Kamala & Bangtao and enjoyed both. Bangtao is closer to the beach but other than that we much preferred Kamala. The staff were friendlier, there is also a drawing area which occupies the kids during meals ( which Bangtao doenst have). Kamala also has 7 pools, 3 of which have great water slides and some small slides for babies/ toddlers The TV channels at Kamala have Disney and Nickelodeon for kids, Bangtao couldn't find the channels (although they did try and contacted the TV company and tried to obtain them)

Not the 4 star resort we were lead to think it was. Upon arrival hotel looked clean, inviting and friendly. Shown to our family suite (room 1321). Room looked ok. Shortly after settling in our air con was not working and the television had no reception. Maintenance were friendly and attempted to fix the problems which took multiple attempts. Our aircon unit began leaking water all over the floor in several places and even all through the wall! Day 2 aircon still not working well and was offered a room change. But we were cautioned that the building is under construction and we may hear noise from work. Noise is ok but the smell from the paint and other chemicals is horrible in the corridors. My children felt ill from it. Have moved rooms and aircon is ok not fantastic. Very noisy. (Aircon, staff and guests in corridors) And again the television is not working. Beds are not comfortable. Towels and linen is old stained and ripped even! Dining areas are outdoors and not airconed which makes eating quite a yuck experience. Kids club is very average. No atmosphere and LOTS of small children not under adult supervision. Ok resort for young families but nothing for teenagers here. Pools are clean with waterslides that clearly need some maintenence. Gardens well.maintained. Our room accomodation is a huge let down though, quite dissapointing. I have heard others recieved a welcome basket of fruit? Not sure if this is for all guests though, we didnt get one! Most staff are lovely, some dont even make eye contact. One was nice enough to bring his trolley FULL of trash bags into the elevator with us (disgusting!). I think a 4 star rating is far to good for sunwing kamala. I would not have stayed here if I knew it was undergoing major construction work. Still here for a couple of nights if management would like to discuss further.

We had a very friendly stay at Sunwing Kamala Beach and it's probably one of the most family friendly hotels in this area of Phuket. We highly recommend to book a room with direct pool access. It's just so much more relaxing if you have your own private spot and can watch the children from there. I also like that there is an extra gate between the private terrace and the pool space, that can be locked for security reasons. So children cannot pass too easily. The food is very good and also the interational dishes were really tasty. The beach is nice but of course there are many people from other hotels too. but it's easy with children because the sea is not to wild and the sand is fine. We also want to thank Renelyn Ramos from the help desk lead. We left some things at the pool and called from the airport when we realized we forgot to pack them. He was so kind to collect it all and send it to us by parcel service.

This is our third time staying at Sunwing Kamala Beach, and it won't be our last. We love everything about it, the happy baby studio that opens up to the pool area fitted with a beautiful king size bed and two lounges for the kids, the staff are so friendly and accommodating, food is fantastic. Our kids aged 9 and 5 both had a ball this trip from water aerobics, kids club, aqua mini disco, Lollo and Bernie meet and greets, evening entertainment to the ice cream card and help yourself buffet dinner. Again we were lucky enough to be here for Songkran which was just the best love everything about Sunwing.

We stayed at Sunwing Kamala for our first visit to Thailand during Spring Break. We had such an amazing time. Almost every night there were entertainments for the children. Our kids enjoyed the entertainment and the coloring area directly next to the restaurant. The pools were so much fun! The hotel itself was a bit dated but they're closing soon for renovations. The staff was so friendly and helpful in calling to book a few excursions when I was unable to via the website. Our room was clean with comfortable beds and lot of space. The breakfast buffet offered so many different options. Dinner options were OK, Thai food options were much better! The beach was clean and just a short walk from the main hotel. Lastly, one of our excursions was supposed to drop off a memory card prior to our departing, they didn't deliver it until after we had to leave. Ms. Renelyn was kind enough to coordinate through multiple emails and mailing it to us.

We have visited many hotels all over the world but Sunwing Kamala beach resort is fantastic! From day 1 we are impressed by the very friendly staff, the excellent service and great facilities. Everything is clean, lots of entertainment for the children and the food in the hotel is great, especially a la carte, very tasty! We can enjoy one more week (total 3) in the Sunwing Kamala beach resort before our vacation is finished but we would like to come back again.
