We came in the low season and practically had the place to ourselves! Beautiful pool, right on the beach, beautiful beach and scenery in quiet part of phuket but not too far from the action if you have a scooter or taxi is easy. The hotel is a little bit old but is in good condition with well kept facilities. By far the best part was the staff, they went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay, look out for Jah at the bar, Bee and Deedy at reception and Mint, Benny and Fair in the restaurant - all beautiful people that made our stay 10/10 😁😁 We will be coming back 😍🍍🍹
I stayed here with 3 friends for 3 nights/2.5 days. We booked through Booking.com and chose this resort for its proximity to a beach since it truly is right on the water. The beach itself was nice and very empty so for us, it felt like we almost had the whole beach to ourselves. We also noticed that there weren't a lot of resort guests on the property but that may be because it is currently the off-season. The rooms are very nice and the photos accurately depict the room. The pillows were pretty stiff to the point that I was really uncomfortable but my friend was perfectly comfortable with the pillows. The beds are comfy and the rooms are large. The hotel was very accommodating by putting me and my three friends between two rooms that connected. It was a little strange that they connected in the bathroom, of all places. The pool is nice and refreshing. The gym facilities were subpar. The equipment is fine and does the job but they are located in a room that doesn't have much room to actually work out in. I will say that it was enough for my needs and with the rather empty resort, no one else was really trying to use the machines/weights. The only cardio was one stationary bike and one step master. Our booking had breakfast included which I thought was actually a decent meal. Wide variety of food options as well as a buffet and a la carte options. Negatives: There is only one restaurant at the resort and it is extremely overpriced for what it is, especially after we've seen more authentic Thai restaurants that were half the price. (There is one restaurant next door to the resort called @TheBeach Restaurant which served the same quality food, if not better, for almost half the price) I had a particularly bad experience with our dinner at the resort - I had ordered the Crab Tian Salad which cost the same as some of the entrees dishes but was less than half the size of an entree. The chef had left the crab shells in the salad so every bite had an unpleasant crunch since there was essentially "plastic" from the shell in every bite. They did take it back and did not charge me for the salad; and they did bring me a plate of cut up fruits which I did appreciate. The resort is also very far from the nearest town and the taxis on Phuket are very expensive. Getting a taxi through the hotel is even more expensive. I highly recommend renting a car to save on taxi costs and to give you freedom to explore the other towns on the island. We felt almost trapped in the resort on the first day with an overpriced restaurant. They also offer tours at the concierge which you should be able to barter down the price but because there were so few hotel guests, the sales person really tries to convince you to buy a tour. (We had already booked a tour for our group online prior to arriving in Phuket) Overall, it was a nice stay and a nice price but you make up for it in the restaurant and the bar (which the pool bar and beach bar are also very expensive...). I recommend it for those seeking a very private experience with easy access to a beach and beach chairs (and beach swings, there are two)
The staff at Panwa Boutique Beach Resort and Spa welcomes you so warmly and everything from the get-go just makes you feel extra special and relaxed. Beautiful beach. Amazing breakfast. The best local cuisine down the beach at the local Beach bar, very affordable. Best pineapple juice at a little shop next to the resort. The pool overlooks the beach and sunsets from the pool are amazing. Food at the restaurant on site is excellent. The place really looks like the pictures show. A must visit in Phuket, Panwa Beach.
Absolute amazing hotel. We had a deluxe beach front room. the beach & view from our room was beautiful, but staff have made our whole experience that much better.. Breakfast was great with lots of choice... The beach comes alive in the evenings, you can have a meal for next to nothing as there's bars all along the beach with live entertainment most evenings.. This is the best holiday I've had.. Thailand really is a beautiful place.. but what makes it is the Thai people 👌👌👌 nothing is too much trouble.. I will definitely come back
Terrible people that run this, they made 2 separate charges to my card before I even got there, which I had to then pay 2 lots of bank charges. Awful service, people are extremely rude. Left straight away, couldn't bare another night there.
Great hotel, quiet area yet not far from city center. Beautiful swimming pool and great beach. A great thank too to Mr Bee for his hospitality and professional help. My friend and I appreciate it so much during our stay.
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in early March. After having booked a garden view room, we changed to beach view because the garden view room looked over some rooftops and was very close to the road (traffic noise) Beach view was very nice, a few steps to the water, comfy beds and a large bathroom, everything seemed clean. I missed a fly screen in addition to the sliding glass door leading to a terrace because mosquitoes were a problem in the evening. The beach is nice but not very clean, many sun lounges were broken, the sea kayaks had broken seats. However it was great for walking and observing birds and other interesting wildlife especially at low tide. Now the sea water is not clear, so even though there is a coral reef (mostly dead) snorkeling is not good, and because of the corals I highly recommend some shoes for swimming. Now the staff was more than helpful and very friendly, for a small fee they let me stay in the room until late afternoon because of a late flight. The breakfast is excellent, the best I had in all of Thailand, dinner is okay but atmosphere is lacking. All in all it is a relaxing quiet hotel perfect for a family vacation or a restful few days after touring Thailand.
We stayed at the Panwa Boutique Beach resort over the Christmas holiday 2016. While there we had an amazing Christmas day in the sun. We had arranged for the resort to pick us up from the airport, which was great, as it was a little chaotic outside Phuket airport. The journey to the resort was just over an hour. On arrival at the resort, we were warmly greeted and given complimentary soft drinks, which were ice cold. We arrived after dark, so it was difficult to make out the surrounding area. Our room was spacious and very clean, I'd say only the furniture let it down – as it looked a little tired. And again the bathroom could have done with being updated a little. The AC worked perfectly and the bed was amazingly comfortable. We had a sea view room, which meant you have a balcony and are on a higher floor. Actually, the view was superb, great sunsets and a lovely vista. The main bar in the resort is more of a sports bar, with sports on the massive TV. The restaurant was spacious and has a great view overlooking the pool. The food was excellent, the service was very good. The food prices are what you would expect from a resort, a little pricey for Thailand. The resort pool was lovely and warm – and of course very clean. The only issue is with other guests that are inconsiderate. Some guests would collect the pool towel, claim the sun beds then wander off down to the beach, which was less than 10m away. This would stop people being able to sit by the pool, as there weren’t enough sun beds. So, unfortunately, the resort needs to implement a rule that stops people hogging the sun beds. And obtain more sun beds. The beach in front of the resort was very nice, however, the actual sand going out to sea soon turns very rocky, which is not great for bare feet. Along the beach, and not very far at all is a lovely little bar, aptly named ‘The Beach Bar’, great service and very friendly. With equally great food! While at the resort we attended the Christmas Gala, which was on Christmas Eve. Again, great service and the food was amazing. Plus Santa arrived… on a kayak. On a personal note, the staff helped me arrange a romantic dinner for my [now] fiance. The were absolutely brilliant, keeping it secret and making it an occasion that we would never forget. The resort offers this service, and they went out of their way to make it special. I highly recommend Panwa Boutique Beach Resort, for a quiet and relaxing holiday. It would also suit couples and families alike.
I went to Panwa Boutique Beach Resort with my mom in march. We had a lovely stay for 6 days. The room was clean and every day we got clean towels and free water. The beach was amazing, a place to relax and enjoy your vacation. There are 2 little beach bars nearby and the food there is really delicious.
We stayed for 6 nights in Feb, we had two garden rooms with adjoining door, fantastic you us as kids 14 & 12. Rooms where fine, clean and comfy. The pool was great. The beach was clean with lovely soft sand, although I'd strongly recommend wet shoes as the sea is very rocky. Very safe swimming no currents and the beach slopes very gently so great for kids. This is a hidden gem of the beaten track. We had a lovely quite week of lying on the beach and swimming in the pool, certainly not for people looking for anything more adventurous. Thank you Panwa Boutique Beach, for a stress free, relaxing holiday. We will be back.
