The hotel is extremely nice. It's clean, and well looked after. The reception staff are all polite, and the rooms are great, with ocean views. The standard rooms even have jacuzzis on the balconies. Beds are very soft and comfy. A few points... - Car parking is hard to find, even in low season. - I felt mistrusted, and I hate being asked to leave a 2,000 THB deposit, in case I drink something from the minibar or something and do a runner. It's not necessarry. - The aircon was rubbish, very sweaty at night time. - The pool shuts at 6pm. Still, an excellent place, so gets 5 stars!
Second visit here from last 5 year. This is not family friendly hotel, only for adult from my first visit experience. This time only adult though. Hotel and rooms are still in good condition and well maintenance. We got room upgrade from standard sea view(every room is seaview) to honeymoon suite with outdoor jacuzzi( haven't try though). Good service and hospitality form staff to maid. Two drawback from my favorities are: 1.Bedding condition not comfy for nice sleep, concerning loud noise from aircons however, not well temperature control. particulary at night when outside is quiet that the same decibel form aircons would relatively loud to disturb your nice sleep. Bed also not comfy despite not hard. 2. Breakfast buffet were still not so good for the hotel star, still same as last 5 year quality, not improve concerning buffet lines for chosen, taste mediocre too. However the automated fresh coffee machines were more than enough with 3 machines available with 1 additional variety of quality tea bags. Found that there's one hard court tennis courts on roof top 5 floor of room building available free for hotel guests, but only from 1000-1800. The view from tennis court also marvelous with sea view, hardly seen in other hotels. BTW the reception area ambiance is gorgeous with 180 degree panoramic sea view and see breeze, cozy sitting around than in your private room though. Car park also difficult to find and limited space in front the hotel area where it is beside the local road.
We were there just 1 night. the room we got very nice view, spacious, nice decorated and also can see sun set from our balcony.Staffs were very friendly.special thanks to khun Tony &Khun ma for good take care all of us.
My husband and I, along with another 2 couples purchased a Groupon deal and this hotel was part of the package for 5 nights. We weren't expecting too much because of the deal - well weren't we surprised! The hotel exudes luxury. We arrived at the hotel reception and all you can see is the ocean. The views from the restaurant and the pool area also have amazing ocean views. Our rooms, while being a standard room, were large, modern and the balcony had an amazing view of the ocean. There were a few stairs to climb to get to our rooms but that wasn't a problem at all, but if you have mobility issues you may need to make prior arrangements so you can easily get to and from your room or villa. We used all our Groupon complimentary extras such as cocktails up in the Sky Bar (again another beautiful space and amazing views). We also receive complementary 45 minute massages which were lovely (a little different to our massages at home as they didn't use oil but very relaxing). All the staff from waiters, desk clerks, cleaners and managers of the various restaurants were so friendly and helpful. It is a little out of the way of shops and restaurants so just be mindful if you can't walk very far then you will need to use tuk tuks or taxis. We hired scooters and was a great, fun way to discover Phuket. I would definitely recommend a visit here. You won't be disappointed.
Their is so much accomodation around so pick what suits you. But we can't fault our trip here - we loved the pool, the serenity, the service and food, the views, and our room was super clean. You can also walk into the small town to get all the services you need. Con - it is on a steep hill, so you need to walk stairs everyday as their is only one lift at the entrance. So if you having trouble walking then this isn't suited to you.
We had the pleasure of staying 5 nights in a seaview room, the beds were very comfortable. The food at the restaurant was delicious and every meal did not disappoint. The mocktails were the tastiest I have ever had. The gym facilities were excellent and I enjoyed being able to try and burn off some of the food I had over eaten. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. The staff were so friendly and attentive, clearly they all work very hard.
The rooms were spacious and modern with good WiFi and balconies. The view out over the Andaman Sea was lovely. Our bathroom was fantastic. I don't like showers over baths (who does?) and get excited when I see a decent walk-in shower. This was one of the best ever - huge, gorgeous and fantastic water pressure. As we had quite a bit of rain, we ate often at the resort which was a great choice anyway. Their Thai set dinner is excellent and reasonable. Other dishes varied but were all enjoyable. The breakfast setting looking out to the sea over the pool is fantastic. There is no easy access to the beach without a decent walk or transport as the resort is set up in the hill above the beach. Drinks are expensive, as they seem to be generally in the region. You can save a bit by going to the 711 supermarket down the hill, particularly on wine though don't expect much choice. The staff at Cape Sienna were excellent and the entire experience at the resort was very good. They do need to put rubber runners or something similar along the passageways as the rain made them wet and extremely slippery.
We stayed at Cape Sienna for five nights and enjoyed our time there. Kamala is a small village outside of Patong and is a quiet somewhat sleepy village. The hotel is a short walk outside of the township and the beach. The views from the hotel lobby and each of the rooms is beautiful. We enjoyed using the pool across the road at Sienna Rocks as it's an infinity pool on the edge of the cliff overlooking the ocean. Breakfasts were good as was the restaurant meals even though they're a little pricey. The housekeeping could do with a bit more attention paid in some areas eg I splashed something on the mirror on the first day we were there and the mark was still there when we left.
Stopped here for 2 weeks over Easter ... Arrived around 8am .. nice welcome and room was ready straight away. We booked a full board package which most staff did not know about so we were constantly explaining what we wanted - some staff gave us a set menu to eat from until we complained and the rep advised we were allowed 600bht lunch and 900bht for dinner each person each day- we could pick anything from the menu and pay the difference. In reality some days we eat over and some didn't eat that much and the hotel actually never charged us anything. The hotel was OK ... NOT a 5* by any means ... but a good 4* We spent a few days at Sienna Rocks .. this is opposite and part of the hotel which has an infinity pool, jacuzzi etc.. but thet only had about 10 sun umberalls and about 20 bases ... surely a 5* hotel could ensure that each parasol base had a sun umberalla in. Only 1 of the Jacuzzi sets were working (they have 2 sets of 3) ... the other one clearly had not worked for sometime and the water was cloudy due to no circulation You can get drinks/food at Sienna Rocks but they had 1 staff member on and at times not even this ... the drinks often took 20-30 minutes to arrive (when someone was there) and at times he was so busy he forgot ! The food was nice ... an OK selection - I certainly would NOT stay full board at this hotel ... maybe only B&B as there are lots of other restaurants nearby etc.. The drinks are expensive but I suspect in line with other apparent 5* hotels. Housekeeping was a letdown, on 3 of the 14days we returned from the pool at 4pm (we left room around 10am) and the room still dirty so we had to call to get it cleaned - not something we would expect from a supposedly 5* hotel. We upgraded to a Jacuzzi room ... if you do this then bear in mind that you have to sit near the window or the rooms opposite can see you !! The hotel is on a hill .. so if you want to go out and about into the local town (about a 10min walk away) .. remember that when you come back the hill is there - you can get a tuk tuk from the town but this is 400bht (which is about £8) As you walk towards the town there is a taxi bay .. these are normally cheaper than the hotel one ... I would recommend you getting a taxi for the day .. we picked our own places to visit and a set charge of 2400bht for 6-7 hrs. Internet was free ... but very slow .. OK to check emails which I suppose is all you want but in a 5* hotel it should have been better. We have reviewed this on the basis it is an expensive 5* hotel in Thailand so only 'average' .. if the hotel was cheaper and a 4* then maybe it would have got a very good rating .. Would we return ... probably not as there are many more 5* hotels in the area
It is a pretty busy hotel I guess, since I was told that ALL the rooms on upper levels were booked during our 5 nights stay. Although I asked for an upper level room in advance, we still got a low-level room with a roof view and a little bit sea. The shuttle service is useless. I highly recommend everyone who could ride a motorbike to rent one during their stay: a great value of money given the fact that transportation in Phuket is a bit ripped off. The room itself is clean and tidy. I am impressed by the tidiness and bug-less environment of the hotel. Breakfast is good in general. The smaller pool in Sienna Rock is cooler than the main pool. Kamala beach is within walking distance, but still, highly recommend to rent a motorbike.
