Getting to the island and resort was difficult. Had to wait two hours at the port, then there were around 25 people jammed into a speedboat to the resort. (was this overcrowding even safe?) Then, once at the resort, could not check in until 3 pm.(but when checking out, had to be out by 9 am). Wi-fi was spotty. A/C did not work in the room when first arrived. Very beautiful resort. Staff was very good. Food very good. Beach was great. Beautiful views.

Santhiya was an Amazing place to stay and relax from start to finish! We were greeted with cold face towels infused with lemon-grass aroma to refresh ourselves on arrival. Luggage was taken from the pier straight to our room waiting for us. We were offered a spa treatment package (2 for 1) on arrival without feeling pressured and it was fantastic! We were escorted to our room after check-in to show us the location on the island hilltop and get familiar with their shuttle service. When we entered the room it was breath taking; we seen the pictures in the website but looking at it in person was even better! All the wooden carvings and details in the room made me feel like we were in an Indiana Jones Movie. One thing that was not that great but I think it’s out of the hotel’s control is the beach, it’s good for sunbathing but to walk around in the shore, there’s lots of rocks in the sand, but the hotel makes up for it with its amazing pools. All the staff was super friendly and helpful to the last minute, I ordered some food to-go on our last day with only 30 minute notice and they made it happen before the speedboat departed. Their breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious!
Amazing rooms. However getting around the property and to the beach requires taking&wating for shuttles. Waited 1hr for checking in and 3hrs for dinner during peak travel times.

We trusted this resort with part of our honeymoon and had to leave early due to lack of Pest control, the resort was unable to move us to a clean & safe room free of pests. Immediately stepping into our villa there were ants, I was burned by a cyanide millipede that crawled in our bed the first night (and still have a burn). We asked them to spray & do a deep clean. But the second night I woke up to another cyanide millipede crawling down my hand in bed. Then a huge cockroach jumped out of my pajama drawer. Cyanide millipedes are poisonous, can cause blindness & leave burns that last months. We asked 2 Managers to move to any higher floor but no solution was given therefore for our own safety we had to leave early. We demand that our money be refunded for the days we could not stay due to unsafe & unclean conditions.
Loved the infinity pool! The service was a little disappointing.
The property is very nice the room was amazing...only privat pool villa. The staff was ok and friendly for most.
Potential travelers, please strongly consider this resort. I am glad I chose it for my vacation Big you’re looking for a private getaway in Phuket this will fit the bill. Be mindful this is an island off the mainland and you’ll need to prepare financially to make visits to other excursions around Phuket. Food, staff and the facilities are fantastic!

We enjoyed our 2nd visit to Santhiya. We have traveled all over the world and our stay here was one of our nicer experiences. The only down side was as they say money makes the world go round and Santhiya is no different, everything extra costs...$$$$. All in all staying off season is good value for the money. •>Hotel setting was beautiful & fairly well maintained. Lower pool was full of leaves & debris, needed cleaned before opening. •>Room clean but musty smelling •>Bed was very comfortable. •>Breakfast was wonderful, good selection, well prepared. •>Any food apart from breakfast was expensive & mediocre. •>Had roaches & Lizards in our room, not much fun. But we were in a natural setting, can happen. •>Both stays, they welcomed at the pier & escorted you to welcome center greeted with a cool towel & welcome drink, then shows you to your room. --Checkout was another thing. Couldn't get late checkout. Called for pickup of our luggage no answer nor luggage assistance AT ALL, (Luxury hotels should always care for their customers from entry to exit). Left us feeling a bit like... thanks, we got your money and bye-bye! •>Booked months ahead a non-refundable room. The price went down closer to travel time since it was off season. Requested via emails for an upgrade since the price had reduced, back to my original comment, we payed more $$$ for the slight room upgrade. Kinda felt penalized for early booking. For off season, would just book right before traveling next time.
This is a beautiful place, the resort is nice but outdated in my opinion. The shuttle trucks are a pain to get to your rooms. There where ants and bugs all over in the rooms. I stayed in 7 other hotels throughout my stay in Thailand and this one was the worst of the 7. Views are great and beach is nice but definitely not a 5 star resort.
Truly one of the best places I've ever stayed at. From the amazing rooms with original wood work, to the breathtaking ocean views, not to mention the instagram photo shoot infinity pool. This exceeded my expectations. The staff was amazingly friendly, the breakfast buffet was superb. I was pleasantly surprised the food and drinks I felt were reasonable but that is coming from Bangkok lol. Please book you won't be disappointed.
