very cool, palm springs, 60's vibe. Excellent room and staff. Great breakfast. Location is near all the things you want to do.

Everything in working order, but the bathroom sink had a smell, not sure if water or drain. Was in the middle of an industrial area and car dealerships. Nothing you can walk to. Would not stay again.

Definitely coming back another year. The location was nice as it was close to the,Desert Botanical Gardens & Scottsdale downtown area.

Remodeled run down motel. Bed and towels comfortable but noise from traffic, other guests and the aviary made sleep more difficult. Needs new paint and plumbing. Staff was great.

The staff was very friendly and the lounge was fun. We had the best bartenders there!

Not bad but not great .. the breakfast was good but would be nice if the lounge was open more hours and not closed on Sunday.. overall for the porcine it was worthwhile

Before arriving we asked for two rooms next to each other. Bill the desk cloth was very nice and we had a quick checking arriving later than expected. Unfortunately we were placed across the street from a construction zone in full force using large trucks. The window woiuld not close over the door in my roommates room, and the phone to reach the desk in my room was scratchy and I could barely hear him speaking. Within a few hours Bill came to fix the window , but could not get it completely closed. We both had very uncomfortable sleep, and the construction resumed at 7am the next morning. A bellman carried our luggage which was precariously smashed into the rear of our SUV, unnoticed at the time. When we reached Sedona our next destination I opened the trunk door and my suitcase fell out and hit my foot and leg tearing the skin, resulting in a expensive trip to the urgent care for stitches. I cannot enjoy the rest of my trip because I cannot walk, restricted to bed rest and pain medication. This has been a disaster, and I am so disappointed although I recognize it was an accident there was plenty of room for the luggage to be safely placed so personal injury would not have occurred. I will have to rent crutches today, if I can find any and cannot walk. By the way there is no elevator for guests . We should have been moved to another room but we're told there were no other rooms available and that major construction was in progress and no other rooms were available.

We were looking for a quick night before heading south to Tucson and this hotel served the purpose. It is on a busy street, but it has an enclosed garden that is inside all of the rooms with a pool and a bird cage of about 30 parakeets. Despite being on a busy road, our room in the back was quiet and noise was no issue. Mattress could stand an upgrade, but otherwise, clean room and shower. Breakfast had many options and was good food. Has a restaurant on site for evening meals it looked like (was closed as we arrived late and left early). Has a small fireplace/reading space not normally found in a hotel of this quality. Overall, a nice budget hotel.

Restaurant closed. Room cute. Burnt out light bulbs. Requested replacement. Did not happen.

My wife and I like Old Town Scottsdale and this hotel's location provided us easy access to that part of the Valley. We would definitely stay there again. The bird aviary was a plus as well.

This is a great place as a home base for exploring the Scottsdale area on a budget. Anything you want to do in Scottsdale is 5 to 25 minutes away and you won't be paying typical Scottsdale rates. The bed was comfortable and the room served us well as a place to sleep and catch up on our daily routine before heading off to explore the area. The entire staff was helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was surprisingly good, as was the coffee. The courtyard was very nice and well insulated from thre noise of busy McDowell road. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay.

Courtyard nice Breakfast was sufficient Room was retro but nice Tad bit overpriced for the area and the age of the Hotel

Average hotel, room had strong odor, clean but carpets were old and felt grimy, half of the staff I encountered for help were friendly, other half were not interested in helping problem solve for me.

The rooms all open onto the gardens, so if you want privacy, you have to keep curtains drawn. Carpet could use a good cleaning. Drains back up. Good hot water shower. Beds soft and lumpy. Nothing really wrong with the hotel but nothing really right either.

I thought I was staying for 1 night but I t ended up being 3. When I went to check back in, I was informed the y didn't accept cash.... ugh. It was clean enough, comfortable, l I cared next to 2 great breweries. (Papagos and McFate) *be advised, there is a window of sorts above the door coming in from outside, it may be open without you knowing. That means any music or sounds get broadcast into the courtyard. Lol

Clean, comfortable, pleasant place to stay. Value for your money. Continental breakfast was excellent. Personnel were all friendly and helpful. Great area of town. Pool was very clean and nice.

I ADORE this place! Someone (the owner?) is hugely creative with a great eye. The landscaping going on there is exceptional. The restaurant and bar have truly GREAT food (try the steak and also the deconstructed s'more), and the people working there are warm, friendly and helpful. The decor is mid-century perfect. My room was a handicap room, and it was super-nice -- only weird thing was there was hardly any furniture in the "living room" area (room #128). They need to put a couch in there or something. Too bare. The pool looked delightful, although I didn't get to go in this trip. My friends loved it. There is this ginormous bird "room" outside too, and a swinging bench, and so much more. Love love love!

The staff was great and extremely helpful. The location was good, with comfortable and clean rooms. They also had a nice outside seating and pool area. The fitness center was small and didn't have much as far as weights and machines, but it got the job done. My only complaint is poor wifi connection from my room. By the time the staff figured out my poor wifi was due to the location of my room, it was too late to switch as I would be checking out in a few hours. They were extremely helpful and responsive to my issues though. Overall a really good experience. I would stay here again.

Was a unexpected pleasure from an older property, nice little lounge and restaurant, chef should consider not smoking everything on the menu as it is not for everyone ,tub drain needs attention

Good, clean in a beautiful garden setting. Close to the airport and other amenities. Healthy breakfast. Staff at the reception were very helpful.B
