Extended Stay America - Phoenix - Midtown

The place is in good condition. The rooms have large refrigerators and stoves, and they'll give you cookware if you want. It's a bit far from downtown but is close to the light rail.

I showed up to Extended stay America @3am after I checked out of my other bug infested hotel. And was pleasently surprised at the customer service Kimberly I believe her name is.She works nights she literally saved us from sleeping in the car for the night because Orbitz made a mistake .She went above and beyond to find us a room and clean it and made sure we had a place to stay for the night .

The first room given to me smelled very strongly of smoke despite the fact that they claim to be a smoke free hotel. I was given another room but no apologies were given besides "some people do not obey the rules". I felt I was inconveniencing the desk clerk even though I had a legitimate complaint. The shower head leaked and the shower curtain did not properly fit so water got all over the floor even though I tried to keep the curtain closed.

Just needed a quick place to crash while I attended the strong beer festival. Proximity to light rail makes this hotel work for beer festival. Fan in the bathroom was noisy, probably a flat bearing; toilet handle stuck down when flushed and I came into room and found a flooded bathroom. Hair dryer caked with lint. Bathroom fan cover caked with dirt. No drain plug in tub; drain handle missing and hole not covered had a big screw sticking out of it. Room was always hot. Never could cool it down. No coffee pot in my room but they did have coffee in the lobby.

Room smelled like urine. Will never stay at another extended stay again

When you walk the lobby is very nice. When you get into the elevator it was dirty sunflower seeds on ground and paper. Our room when you walk into smelled horrible like burnt food not to mention the toaster and coffee pot were sitting by front door. Then we found hair in the bed the sheet had not been changed. I told front desk who gladly moved us to new room which had a worst odor then other room. Shower had mold and dish washer was falling apart. Check out in the morning thank Goodness for orbitz who got us a refund for the next two nights

I was disappointed with the professionalism of the front desk employee. She was not rude to me but she was rude to the people on the phone. I got checked in fine but the room had full kitchen area with ZERO silverware, plates, etc. towels were old looking not white at all. It was not washed with bleach at all. The next door guest was moving and I could hear it. They were playing load music and I couldn't rest at all. There was NO breakfast area to sit and eat. The continental breakfast was NOT advertised. Only granola bars and one choice of muffin. NO tea bags, only coffee. Very small area designated for the so called "Breakfast included" advertisement. There are no cameras to watch the parking lot and my car could get vandalized and the suspect couldn't get caught. I lost my money on this stay.

Called ahead and was able to check in an hour early with no fee. It is a bit inconvenient to access the second floor as there is only one stairwell and one elevator. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Decent breakfast for on the go.

The room was clean, however, when I returned the second day the bed wasn't made ( no big deal) but no clean towels. Don't expect a continental breakfast. First morning there was coffee and packets of instant oatmeal. No milk only flavored coffeemate. One morning there was also fruit and packaged tiny muffins.

The fridge was incredibly loud and the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable.

Cockroaches in the rooms. Malfunctioning AC. Tried to check out a day early and the hotel made it very difficult to process my request. I ended up paying a late check out fee since they were unable to process in a timely manner. I will not be returning.

When we were in the room we had to wear shoes. If we were in socks the bottoms would be black with dirt. That's how dirty the floors were. Otherwise the room was clean, but you had to wonder because of the floors. Because of the floors I could not recommend this hotel.

Hotel staff was very lean but great and accomodating. There is no daily room service unless you stay 7 or more days. Suspect this is to help keep room cost down.

Very nice very nice cozy nice place to stay when traveling definitely coming back here!

Definitely met my requirements. It was nice and quiet staff was extremely nice. Checkin process took two mins and it so nice.

I can't believe how this place seems to charge what ever they feel they want. Even if you have a reservation for a certain rate they still charge more. I have yet to see the added fees. They still have to change out all the beds for new ones and hire enough cleaning staff.

Safe neighborhood area, convenient location. Only complaint was getting the side door working often.

I switched a room during the 7 day stay. The staff helped me was friendly.

Very nice front office staff. Room was nice but beds too hard and no water pressure in shower.

Was all good a pleaser to stay there was there two nights nice clean rooms

Nick, We apologize we did not meet your expectations in several areas. It seems our staff failed to provide you with the information that the dishware items are available upon request. We agree that breakfast is an important part of one's day, therefore for those guests who don't prepare their meal in their fully equipped kitchen we provide our complimentary grab and go breakfast. We are sorry this complimentary amenity did not meet your expectation. We will share your dissatisfaction regarding breakfast with our brand leaders to reference when making new offering selections. Thank you for your feedback, and having you back as our guest would be a pleasure. General Manager
