Rittenhouse 1715, A Boutique Hotel

This hotel is very convenient for shopping and dining. The historic sites are >1 mile away, so if you don't want to do a lot of walking, you would need a cab. The breakfast served was very nice, and Miss Lillian is so friendly and cheerful! Being a small hotel, there was usually only 1 person on duty, so there was some waiting on check-in/out and there is no bellman or valet. You park your own car in a public garage a few blocks away, but you can park right outside for loading/unloading. We had two issues, that may not apply to other rooms, that would prevent us from choosing this hotel again. First, the bathroom had no storage; there was a pedestal sink with a small glass shelf above it, and that was it-we had to keep most of our toiletries in the bedroom which is not ideal. Second, there is no in room thermostat for the A/C, there is a locked control in the hall for the entire floor. We were so hot the first night we asked for a fan-they did find us one and we used it the entire time we were there. That alone will keep me from returning.

When visiting Philadelphia this is the only place we will stay. It's a true gem.

Great location reasonable price Roomy rooms, with very comfortable beds. great helpful staff! Cute cafe with espresso machine that works great.

Small elegant boutique hotel with a European touch

The location, charm and attentive staff made this hotel great. I would stay here again next time I'm in the area.

Stayed here for a business trip. It was a perfect location - great restaurants and stores. Super helpful staff and really clean rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was a very pleasant surprise. Clean, Comfortable and the Staff was wonderful. Great location. one downside was the desk was not suitable for a laptop - too small and hard to find a plug to charge a phone or computer. Minor problem for such a nice hotel.

Good for couple. Will try again when visit Phillis next time.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff called local pubs to find a soccer match I was interested in. They couldn't have been friendlier. The room was great, it felt like a blend between a B&B and a traditional hotel. Will always look to stay here on my Philly trips.

We booked a room for ourselves and a room for our daughter & her fellow cadets! great rooms, wonderful place to stay...Parking is always a problem in that part of town, but a great Breakfast made up for it!!

Just Lovely! I have always dreamed of living in one of the classy Philadelphia Row houses. This is your chance to taste the best of the city of brotherly love! Elegant inviting lobby, welcoming staff, beautifully decorated fresh room. modern bath. There is no better address in the City.

This is a very small hotel, quaint, clean rooms, large bathroom for the room size with a very nice, large stall shower with bench and large clean bathroom. They only serve breakfast but do so quite nicely. Overall a very nice stay, bedding and a/c were fine. The room could have been a bit larger and I would prefer a key-card door lock over a code-entry lock. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Staff was friendly and helpful and made me feel they were glad to see me. They had umbrellas to loan due to the weather and breakfast was excellent...freshly squeezed juice and delicious breads. The room was very comfortable and elegant.

The Rittenhouse 1715 is a wonderful place to stay! We booked two rooms for the Army v Navy game. My wife and I had a beautiful room with a wonderful fireplace (electric). Our Daughter and her 2 other West Point Cadets had a nice room just above us. We had a wonderful breakfast in their very quaint downstairs dining area...Everyone must try the French Toast made from croissants! We all ordered it our last morning there...served with fresh fruit and warmed maple syrup...Excellent! Will stay at the Rittenhouse 1715 anytime we are in the area! Fantastic staff, from the dining room to the front desk!

This is a B&B, not a hotel really. Cabbie took me to the wrong place first, meetings were scheduled in the OTHER Rittenhouse! Pickup driver went there too. Staff was very pleasant. Located in a pretty good spot near Rittenhouse Square, but the walls are thin and the average age of the guests was close to 70. Great if you are having a hip replaced - except for the 3 floors of stairs....

What a wonderful little oasis in Philadelphia. This is a gem of a hotel. Just about everything you could ask for is provided. The staff is incredible. They are so attentive, knowledgeable, and so polite. Just ask and they provide it. Although beverages are available 24/7, I would have loved to have a coffee maker in the room so I would not have to put on the wonderful bath robe they provide.

Very personable staff, attractive and comfortable rooms, good modern updates--first class bathroom, plenty of lights, great breakfast. We liked the location. We walked to restaurants and the Lantern Theater for a performance, walked to the parkway and the museum of Art, but did not pose by the Rocky statue.

The hotel is in a great location in the heart of Philadelphia. The staff was among the best we've ever encountered - very friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful. The afternoon wine and ever-present (and delicious!) cookies were much appreciated. Our only complaint is that the mattress had "sink holes" / body depressions.

We had a great time. The staff was really friendly and helpful.

great friendly staff. cle proximity to music venues is excellent.
