Very good hotel, after the walk at Petra
Great views and nice clean hotel with amenities. The staff was awesome and took great care of us and our kids. Good restaurant choices and the Bedouin tent dinner was fabulous. I highly recommend this hotel!
Great location. Very friendly staff.
Love this beautiful hotel, and the staff were very professional. I will stay here again.
The reason to stay here are the sunsets. Otherwise, same level of service, etc you can expect from other similar hotels in area.
Amazing service and attention to detail. The staff really made it a point to make sure we had what we needed and enjoyed our stay. They also handled a booking mistake with minimal stress for us.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Amazing views of the valley and the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The staff were incredible and helpful! We definitely plan to come back in the future!
This was perhaps the worst "upscale" hotel experience of my life. The physical plant was not at all as it was presented on the website. The hotel was very shabby. We were moved once because we did not have water in our room and the toilets did not work. Upon checkout another guest complained of the same problem and the manager did not even apologize. Finally, the hotel is far away from the center of Wadi Moussa and the Petra site. During our trip to three cities in Jordan we found the Movenpick hotel chain to be the best quality and the price was similar to that of the Marriott.
this hotel does not deserve to be 5 star. compared to other 5 star mariott location, such as the one in Jordan valley (dead sea), this location is more like 3 star. here are the good and the bad. bad: --our hotel was pre-paid via travel agency. but upon check in, hotel staff DOUBLE CHARGED us for the room. it took over 4 hours of arguing, with the staff and the manager to resolve. and this was after we provided the pre-paid recipt from our travel agency, pre-paid conformation from Mariott, 3 phone and 2 faxes from our travel agency. it was a nightmare!!! --also, hotel staff does not speak very good english. upon check in, they asked for my credit card. i told them our hotel was pre-paid. they did not seem to understand. they just keep saying "...please, we need your credit card." then i asked if they need the credit card for incidential, such as food and drink credits. they did not seem to understand that either. they looked at each ohter, turned to me and said again "...please, credit card, now." --after speaking to other guests at the hotel, i learned this happends more often than not!!!!!!!!! --room very small. --even though the hotel was nearly empty in capacity, they would not give us a king size bed. --only 2 restruants on site for dinner. middle eastern buffet or itlian. good: --breakfast included. buffet style. --free parking. valet and self park. --free shuttle to the city of Petra. but you will have to hire a cab to come back. --free steam room and sauna really helped sore muscle after hiking in petra.
