Days Inn Petoskey is great! I would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

The staff was very nice. They offered a suggestion for dinner and it was a perfect fit.

Unusual staff trying to walk us into our room to show my wife and her friend "the amenities." The bathrooms were not clean and the room was musty. Needless to say, I won't be letting anyone I care about stay at another days in.

Two years in a row...warm welcome, and enjoyed our stay. Price was right for us, and hope to book again next year.

We stayed for one night at the AmericInn. They had a very friendly staff and the hotel and a nice feel to it. Everything in the hotel was nice, but not overly amazing. My breakfast waffle was really dry and the eggs were a bit mushy. My only complaint about the room would be that it seemed like they were renovating it because there were patch marks in the bathroom and holes in the ceiling above the beds. I am unsure if other rooms were like this or if we got the odd one in the bunch. The beds were SUPER COMFY we slept like babies. We did not get a chance to swim due to time constraints, but it looked nice from the outside. The perimeter was well-kept and maintained. When I visit again in the future, I will probably venture out and stay somewhere else. Let me be clear, the place was not horrible by any means. There were just a couple things that I wanted to point out.

I went to the many things going on in town, that was suggested by staff. Great area and nice place to visit and relax. Even the other patrons were friendly.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. We stayed for 2 nights, the first night was out of hot water and I had to take a cold shower, we found our sliding glass door was unlocked, and a earwig big in the bed. The next day we left the room around 11 am and returned at 6 pm to a dirty room. We went down to ask the front desk why our room wasn't cleaned and asked if a maid could come tidy up the room. We left again around 6:30 and called to remind them we were leaving and if we could get our dirty towels picked up and clean towels and clean sheets..not asking for much. When we returned at 10 pm I was shocked at what we walked into. There were still dirty towels in the middle of the floor and in the dirty jacuzzi tub, the only clean towels were the ones we had go to the front desk and get ourselves, and the bed was not made they just pulled the covers off the floor and set them on the bed. The next morning we showed the General manager pictures of what our room looked like, she apologized but did not offer us anything for our awful experience besides a comp room for our next trip. After an experience like that I will NEVER stay there again, even if the hotel is free. I wouldn't recomped this hotel to anyone!

The motel and its property were very clean, looks like they did a up date recently very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will stay there again when I'm in the area.

Stayed one night. Located next to the police station on a busy highway in Petoskey away from the downtown area and most of the restaurants and shops. Shower curtain was dirty and the room looked like it had not been occupied for some time. There was only one coat hanger in the closet and a light was missing a bulb. Grounds are well-landscaped but rooms are in need of a facelift. Staff was helpful but you got the impression the tattoos on the desk clerk gave a less than favorable impression

Hotel was conveniently located close to downtown Petoskey. Easy access and ample parking. Continental breakfast was average. Much more affordable than other hotels in the area. However you get what you pay for. Internet service was down for the duration of our stay and calls to the front desk yielded no effort to correct the issue. In addition, there was no hot water in the morning and multiple customers complained before the maintenance staff was called.

Staff friendly and helpful, our room was very nice and quiet. Enjoyed the hot tub and indoor pool.

The Hotel was really so so. It was a place to rest my head closest to the water that was available. The King size bed wasn't as comfortable as I have had at previous hotels, the continental breakfast was a little scattered. No fruit, no juice. The eggs were a pressed patty so naturally I stayed a way from that and just put 2 sausage patties on a toasted english muffin. Our door to our room didn't shut very well, we had to really put our weight into the door to make sure it was closed. At one point someone tried to come into our room in the middle of the afternoon. Over all it was really just a room to sleep, downtown Petosky on the other hand made it all worth while.
