Although the hotel is old and off the beaten path the room was modern, nice and clean. My low review was based on being frustrated right off the bat. I was traveling with my 80 year old mother and my 9 lb dog. When i booked the room, I had no idea there would be so many rules for traveling with a pet as this was my first time. So when you book you might want to ask about the pet rules. So that kinda put a damper on the trip. Also, the front entrance has old doors with a huge cement lip. It made it difficult for me to role in the cart, carrying my dog and having the cart loaded up with all my moms stuff and mine. The staff just stood there and watched me struggle. Breakfast was decent but the dining room is very very small. After I found out I couldnt leave my dog unattended, I was just going to stay in the room, watch some TV, and get some work done on my computer. The cable and internet went out. I guess thats beyond their control.

Good hotel if you are planning a quick ski trip into the Harbor Springs Ski areas, very close, maybe 7 miles away. Breakfast is included, and it was good quality, actually better than several other chains I have stayed at lately. Typical waffle machine, Biscuits and Gravy, Scrambled eggs and sausage/bacon. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were a little dated, but not so much that it distracted. I would stay again if I were doing a quick ski trip.

The hotel was clean and comfy. However, we had an issue at check in and the front desk staff was not very pleasant to work with. I would suggest customer service training in the near future.

This was a great place to stay. Had a great nights sleep on very comfortable beds. Very nice breakfast in the morning before we left. Would absolutely stay here again!

Weekend trip with my wife to see the fall color. This hotel was a pleasant suprise. We were rewarded with updated rooms and comfortable beds. This hotel was clean and offered a competative free breakfast offering in the morning. I would book this hotel again in the future.

Very clean nice place to stay. No elevator we were on the 2nd floor had to carry all our suitcases and clothes up. No Wi Fi or internet hookup. Staff was good helpful. Location was OK for us. We were in town for a wedding we stayed two nights. Quiet location. Price was affordable.

Good value for the price. The breakfast included in room price very good. Room could use a little attention. (Dirt under bed, loud air conditioner, peeling walls in bathroom.) did have comfortable bed.

Room was very comfortable, and the hotel location being set well back of the road and protected by trees was nice and peaceful.

Our room was clean but it's in need of some chaulking around the sink and tub. The staff was great ! The breakfast they provide is top notch!

Works well as typical Confort Inn, but if you're on the 2nd floor there isn't an elevator.

Nice clean resort, friendly staff and good value for the money. If a work out is important look elsewhere. An elipitical machine, 1 jogging tack and a bowflex is a waste of space.Good wireless connection.Well kept property.[...]

Clean, comfortable, quiet, good continental breakfast with lots of choices and regularly re-stocked. Pet friendly, near the highway but set up on a bluff so the impression is that it's tucked away from the traffic. Our room even had a view of Little Traverse Bay through the trees.

Too expensive for too little

Visited Family and Friends. Excellant room.

Convenient location between Petoskey & Harbor Springs...

Trying to check in, I had to wait while the front desk female answered phones. The desk and nightstand had, what looked like, cigarette burns. This was supposed to be a smoke free hotel. The rooms appeared old, but they were clean. We were kept up most the night to a humming sound that we guessed to be a bathroom fan either in the room next to us or below us. Continental breakfast was adequate but not enough room for everyone.

The comfort Inn is a great value for the money The room was clean and very accommodating. The staff was very curtious and knowledgeable about surrounding area. Only drawback is that the Inn is located outside of downtown Petosky.

The rooms at this Comfort Inn were fine (though not spectacular). What makes this a unique place to stay is the lovely patio off the main lounge that opens up into a nice expanse of green grass filled with black squirrels and monarch butterflies. We stayed here with our 21-month-old toddler and were very appreciative of their beautiful outside space!

The Comfort Inn Petoskey appears to be a rather new facility. Beds were comfortable, but the shower curtain had mildew. Location was somewhat hard to find; only a small sign out front and the inn sets back in away from the road. Those familiar with the Petoskey area might locate it easily. Staff very friendly and the complimentary breakfast had plenty of variety.

The Comfort Inn Petoskey was very comfortable for 3 ladies on a girls getaway/shopping trip. It is conveniently located between Petoskey and Harbor Springs so one day was spent in each town. Unfortunately there is no pool area. However the breakfast was fabulous to include the waffles, etc. Coffee was also fresh even at 7 p.m. check in. Pillow top mattresses were excellent after a long day shopping. We would definitely stay again.

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear the staff at check in was anything less than accommodating. I hope you will give us another chance if you are in the area.
