Thank you all at the hotel for making our stay so special! Staff are so friendly and helpful. The best coffee prepared & served lovingly! Spacious rooms, Comfortable bed, private terrace & unbelievable views! We will return 😁
Hey, it is the same two Canadian couples, staying here for four nights this time. We used this a base to visit Assisi, Spello, Bagnoregio, Todi Pros: - Great views from the hotel lobby. - friendly staff. - good breakfast, could even take it out on the large tented balcony area they have. - "Pam" grocery store at the bottom of the drive up to the hotel. - ample free parking. Cons: - very long meandering drive up the hill to the hotel. You will often wonder if you have gone past the Hotel if attempting to drive to it in the dark. - room décor is stuck back in the 1970's. - bed low to the ground, like it's missing the mattress and only has the box spring. - Restaurant next door, not attached to the hotel (the only one accessible on foot) was somewhat costly and did not meet expectations. Would we go back? We would probably explore other options.
We stayed here for 3 nights and the drive up is rustic. Not bad - just winding and narrow. On arriving at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised at the layout but when we went into reception and caught sight of those views - we were very very pleased. Check in was very pleasant - really friendly reception staff. Our room was lovely - not huge but we had a small balcony with lovely view so this made up for it. Lovely clean room with a separate dressing room and place to store luggage. Very handy. Lots of toiletries and towels and décor is lovely. We had a walk "Up" to the pool and were a bit disappointed. It was covered in pine needles as there were lost of trees surrounding it. But when we went up the next day it had been cleaned and we spent a few hours relaxing. Pool not perfect but it does the job. We spent dome time on the famous terrace overlooking Perugia and Assisi and it could not be more beautiful. We had to look for someone to bring us a drink but when we found her she was friendly and efficient. We booked a table in the restaurant for the first night and I was looking forward to trying some tasty dishes. There were 2 people waiting tables on the terrace and although there were only a few tables full we had to wait a while for our menus. When we did order we were waiting a long time. We had to call him again to order a drink. We also asked a couple of times for olive oil but none came. There were a table of 6 people(Maybe locals) who seem to be getting all of the attention. I though this was very unprofessional. The staff were NOT very friendly/ Food was lovely though but we decided not to repeat our visit. This again is up the hill on the way out of the hotel so its not really part of the hotel itself. Setting was lovely though. We had to travel a good way the other evenings for food because it is a bit out in the countryside. Lovely and peaceful though. Close enough to Perugia and Assisi for a visit. Lovely other little towns dotted around. Breakfast was nice enough but not a great deal to chose from. I would recommend this for a peaceful getaway. Not much going on in the hotel bar.
Arriving at a very hot day. Swimmimgpool closed. Argumentation: it rained yesterday so we decided to end the saison and close swimmingpool and bar. Room was smelling like a sewerage. Sorry, hotel is fully booked. End of saison? View from the hotel is fabulous. Receptionist is very friendly.
Hotel itself was a welcome surprise with views of the Umbrian countryside to welcome us after a long drive. Hope staff were attentive and the welcoming. The room itself was a good size and well equipped, although the pillows and bed were not to my liking. The winning pool had seen better days and needs work! It did not entice us in for a swim. Breakfast was to a good standard and coffee a welcome surprise (as was real coffee and not the normal hotel filter stuff). Check in and out process was efficient and worked well All in all a nice stop over, but maybe closer to 3.5 then 4 out of 5.
We were looking for a nice, relaxing place to spend the night and this hotel fit the bill perfectly. Its location is very peaceful and the views over the valley help in making you feel like you're really on holiday. Our room was small but perfectly adequate - modern, clean, functional and comfortable. We had a little patio area as well, which made it seem not so cramped. We were expecting a simple continental/Italian breakfast and so were very happy with the fairly complete meal we were served - savoury and sweet - along with our multiple cappuccinos (we couldn't resist getting another one when the server asked!). If this hotel were located closer to the old centre of Perugia, the price of our stay probably would have been triple the cost; but given what we did pay and the lovely location that was easily reached by car, it was perfect.
Hotel is perfectly located on the top of the Colle della trinità, beautiful views from rooms balcony, staff is very helpful and polite. Breakfast is really good, you are served with real espresso, rooms are clean and spacious. You can stay with your dog, no problems. There is also a nice restaurant nearby, with fresh and tasty food. It is obviously not in the city centre, but the views are really exceptional (7.5km drive to the Mini metro station at the stadium).
I spent a long week-end with my family in this fabulous hotel and it was a really good experience, I would definitely recommend it. The restaurants offers a big varieties of fresh food, including fish and meat, which is exposed to the public so you can select it by yourself. The room was very clean and spacious with very nice views. We asked for a couple of towels more for our children and the staff brought them us with no problem. I would really recommend this hotel if you are looking for some distance between the busy city to enjoy relax and healthy food with your family in a 4 stars hotel.
The Hotel is situated on a Hill Opposition the beautifully City of Perugia although very remote. Nice Roms with spectacular view. Do not book semi pension . Horrible food in comparison to the a la carte menu .
We stayed here on our last night in Umbria before heading back to the Perugia airport the following morning. The hotel has some of the most stunning views I saw all trip. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the staff were fantastic. Especially Gianfilippo who kindly printed our boarding passes and generally made the checkout experience easy and smooth. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay again.
