We stayed there about 7 yrs ago it was quite comfortable. But we have stayed there October 2016 and I found it has gone. Down in standard. Rooms are very out dated and old looking carpets and furniture. I wouldn't stay there again unless they refurbish. Location is great but they need to update. I think new management are not very professional. Ok for tourist who need somewhere cheap and for a short stay. Definitely not a 3 star hotel.

Booked into this dump Charged $20 for parking then$100 is taken from credit card Which is not returned for upto 5/7 days later Hotel grounds filthy Entrance to room water leaking with signs in place Room grubby Lives in toilet seat Freezing cold room Mouldy smell Got the brekkie deal waste of money for a bit of cereal and toast with packet coffe or tea Reception staff very rude and not helpful

relaxing night away from kids for husband and myself, husband paid extra for spa room, which i was greatly looking forward to enjoying upon returning from our anual trip to the cinema. However the hot water flowed from the tap for only a short time before running cold. The bath was barely a quater full when the water went completley cold and even that small amount of water was only luke warm. Gave it a half hr and tried again to same results, this was after 9pm so there was no one in reception to call and as we are only staying for 1 night nothing left to do except go to bed fuming and write a bad review. I have no idea if other parts of the hotel were good or not, no hot water ruined it completley. I could have stayed home to have a luke warm bath.

I have no idea how this is a 3.5 star. The rooms are dated, and damaged. The rooms, though fairly clean were very old. Faulty wiring in a lamp, that flickered and buzzed when touched. Tiles cracked, back of toilet seat cracked, fan in bathroom FILTHY. Weighted door to bathroom that I struggled to open - goodbye fingers if a child wasn't careful. VERY noisy - walls are paper thin. Not good value for money, and had the cheek to charge an extra $50, for staying on a Saturday night. Go elsewhere!!

We enjoyed the great location so close to the awesome Scarborough Beach front with a gorgeous beach and plenty of cafes and restaurants. A great place to relax and enjoy the sun and sunsets. The room facilities were good with a very comfortable bed and jacuzzi. We had some minor issues with the safety box and door lock, which were solved swiftly. The wifi was useless. An access for every unit with an individual username and password which had to be typed again and again. When it actually worked, which was not often, the connection was very weak. The breakfast was poor and not worth the 16,50 AUD pp. The selection was limited and lacked healthier options. At the end of our stay, the hot food was taken of the menu, so the choices were toast, sugar cereals and a bit of yoghurt.

Our party of three booked a two-bedroom apartment for a week as a relaxing break after a multi-centre holiday. The apartment was on the third level and since the lift only went to the second level, an arduous hauling of luggage up a steep, 18-step staircase was required. The apartment was on two floors with living/kitchen area, double bedroom and bathroom beneath a large upper floor bedroom containing one double bed and three single beds! The thought of seven people sharing this apartment with just its one bathroom made my mind boggle, especially since the ground floor bed was just a rickety sliding door away from the bathroom. The décor and furniture were very dated and the lighting extremely dim and gloom-inducing. The clock radio in the bedroom told the wrong time with no obvious way of altering it and the radio did not work at all. A total of ten coathangers were available throughout. The bathroom was a reasonable size, but the shower was over the bath which had clearly seen better days confirmed by a large ‘patch’ of a murky colour which had presumably been used to repair a hole. The beds were comfortable and bedlinen and towels were changed frequently. There were a couple of movie channels on the tv and a laminated programme was provided to show screenings. Unfortunately, it was for the previous month’s listings. One film was called ‘The Disappointment Room’ which provided us with a wry chuckle. The hotel advertises a gym as one of its facilities, however three of the four exercise machines were ‘out of order’ which left one exercise bike, a set of free weights and two exercise balls in working order. The lighting was very very dim and since I was exercising alone, I asked the receptionist for a control for the tv. None was forthcoming. Breakfast was included in our booking, which was quite a good buffet. However, tea and coffee were not included and came at a $4 per cup surcharge. We ate in the hotel restaurant twice and had an excellent meal each time. There is no free Wi-Fi; this comes at a cost of $20 per day. We didn’t use it as it is free in various parts of the beach front. Although we didn’t need it, it seems that car parking also cost $20 per day. The pool area was pleasant, but had only five sunbeds. Presumably, if the hotel is full in the warmer weather, they expect people to go to the beach? The reception area had no tourist information on show and we had to keep asking about things to do in the area – with varying levels of success. During our stay, the beach area was under construction and impacted quite a bit on the ambience. I can only imagine the local businesses must be suffering greatly. On our final day, we enquired about holding onto the room beyond the 11 am check-out, we were told this would cost $40 for each additional hour!! Needless to say, we declined….. I really couldn’t, hand on heart, recommend this hotel unless you like dim, dowdy rooms in lacklustre surroundings.

If you are arriving at this hotel after 9PM they say they will email and text you the code the day before your scheduled arrival date for the key safe outside reception, so you may collect your room key/s. I had to ring them at 3PM before I left for Brisbane airport to get the code but when I arrived at the hotel at 1:20AM the code worked but there was no keys for my daughters room nor mine, lovely when its raining and blowing a gale. Finally got to our rooms around 2AM after having to climb many stairs as our adjoining rooms that I requested were on floors 2 & 3! My room smelt really mouldy which I soon clearly found mould along the back of the hand basin. When I turned on the shower the water flows away from the shower drain all the way across the bathroom and pools around the toilet bowl, which will stay there until the room is next serviced. My daughters room had a single connecting door that offered no sound privacy from the very amorous couple next door! They charge $20 for the internet but it is SO SLOW in takes an hour to do what you normally can in a couple of minutes. PS Breakfast was included in our room tariff yet they charge you $4 each time you ask for tea or coffee!

We booked last minute and wished we had researched more first. On arrival there was no receptionist available, sign saying they were away. Had to wait about 15 mins for someone to arrive, even though I kept trying to call the hotel. Finally got into room, not really suitable for us (our fault not hotels) as split level and open plan stairs not great for kids coming down in the night to use toilet. Bathroom door is fire door and incredibly heavy to open so the kids struggled. Room overlooked main road at front...very noisy. Beautiful view of the shell garage opposite not the ocean unless you were tall. Heavy smokers on balcony next door which wasn't great. Tried to eat in restaurant as kids now overtired, but at 6.30 pm was already fully booked as Groupon offer running and we weren't advised to book when we checked in so had to find somewhere else with very tired children. Still waiting 9 days later for the $100 pre authorisation they took on my card to be released. To be honest it was ok and served a purpose but we did not see any of the 'resort' or facilities they might offer as we arrived in the dark and left early next morning.

like sleeping next to the m25.morning till night traffic.receptionist rude.entered reception area she looked up from computer then kept me waiting 3/4 minutes before speaking to me.staff i think find the guests a hindrance.breakfast is good, but coffee is 4dollars a cup.heard staff laughing about the amount of bad reviews they were getting.terrible place.i d stay away if i was you

Stayed here for 1 night on Friday night, check in was east Sunny from reception was polite and efficient. Room decor little bit dated but it didn't bother us, he had balcony overlooking looking the garden so nice and peaceful until the late at night the noises from outside or from room next door, I must say I didn't have a good sleep been woken up few times due to the noise. The mattress need to be replace with new one, it's so hard. But overall it was ok stay. Maybe will come back
