I arrived this Saturday 10/22/16 at about 4pm or 5pm. The young lady who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. Room size and bed were very comfortable, with microwave and mini fridge in it. There was a very nice assortment of breakfast items such as biscuits and gravy, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, a variety of breads and waffle maker. The area near the hotel is very quite with a Wal-Mart next door, lots of fast food, as well as, dine in options and near the 55. Illinois and Missouri border is about 20 minutes away. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to staying here again soon.
This is a good place to stay for the price and location. Clean rooms and hot water!
The stay was OK ..the room was clean and the breakfast was good. Hot food in the morning is always good .. The staff was not really around so I can't really comment on that note.. I would stay there again .. From RialtosVeryOwnRoacH
We chose this place because the weather was turning nasty with freezing rain. The room was fine, clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. No problems
i went to my class reunion except for smelling smoke in my roam from the hall it was very allright.
I was very offended by the fact that the cleaning people left a tip envelope!! The rooms are way too expensive for such a small town!!!
We booked a room via Orbitz on Thursday nite at an affordable rate. On arrival, they provided me a receipt to sign that had no rate quoted. They indicated that the contract was between Orbitz and I. They would not quote the rate. They photocopied my credit card and drivers license. At my protest they indicated that it was the franchise policy in case I destroyed anything in the room. I requested that they cancel the Orbitz fee and offerd to pay cash to get my personal data back. They indicated they could not do that. On the desk was a photocopied piece of paper that said "no refund". The refund policy on-line was a $25 charge to cancel at any time....and $75 or full room charge thereafter....which ironically was higher than my Orbitz rate. I asked for a copy of the company policy and they had none. However, they indicated that they would give me the photocopy of my credit card and driver's license on checkout...which they did. I can only trust God and the Prosecuting Attorney that they did not save and sell or use a separate copy. My primary concern at this point is the franchise, and not the staff. This booking was to attend my beloved mother-in-law's funeral. I did not state this directly, but of course this is the reason I did not walk out. Of course they already had my Orbitz booking and who had charged my credit card. Since they had no wireless I could not look up my account to make a logical argument as to why I should be able to pay cash. I always try to find fairness in any situation. However, this is tough. I can say that the room, besides the door slamming, was not bad. However, this was the most unsettling financial experience I have ever experienced. I wanted to give rating of one but my wife made me give it a two because she did not have to vacuum or make the bed. I can also say that the motel is within 1/2 mile of Hoeckle's Bakery and Stonies Sausage Shop which is (two of the best family owned businesses in Missouri, therefore worth the stop in Perryville. However, as a 55 year old visiting my hometown to say farewell to my beloved mother-in-law, it was indeed a sour experience. This is as fair and objective as I can be in this rating. If this review is not posted I will follow up with contacts to the Franchise, Orbitz, and the Missouri Attorney General. Dear Franchise...do not mess with the staff unless I am totally off-base. This review is meant to be constructive and improve your image and service. Regards, James F. Fairchild
We didn't have a bad stay. We had arrived late on the first night of our trip. It was nice to have a room on the 1st floor having a dog. The room was comfortable and we slept well waking refreshed and ready to continue our trip.
