upon check-in I was early philip at the front desk send that I can get into the room by 12 o'clock when I went back at 12 the head housekeeper was less than courteous and said check in is at 3 really rude. next day as for fresh towels and to have trash removed neither was done checked out early due to lack of cleanliness and professionalism

Beds weren't that comfy. Hallways were kind of dark and air fresheners were in every outlet in the hall making it a little on the strong side. I had to have maintenance come and unclog the bathtub drain so I wouldn't have water covering my feet while I showered. Got this hotel because it had a pool. Didn't even use the pool as it was on the main floor wide open so everyone on the upper floors could see you swimming. There was a marina event that weekend, so the parking lot was crowded and was hard to find parking. Main floor was loud until the early morning so I'm glad we were in the "lower level" aka basement where it was quiet.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Did not receive housekeeping service during this stay. I inquired about this upon checking out and was told that Housekeeping did not know that I was in the room that I was assigned to. If you are wondering why I didn't ask about this sooner, I can only say that it seems that on my recent budget hotel stays the service has been hit or miss. Especially in Peoria. The room was clean and I had plenty of towels and supplies, so I made the best of it and picked up after myself and made my own bed. The staff was really nice and friendly everywhere I met someone. I had the free breakfast every morning that I was there and it was acceptable but I was concerned about the cleanliness of the breakfast area, but I made it through without any illness. The entire facility needs a refresh, everything seems tired and stale. I picked this hotel because of the cheap price, and you get what you pay for. I will be travelling to Peoria frequently to care for my elderly parents, but on my future trips I will probably pay more and stay at a better establishment.

Hotel is dated. My first room assignment was to a room that hadn't been cleaned. I was then given another room that was a very long hike from the front desk. The location is good but this hotel is badly in need of a renovation.

For the price, we didn't expect much but got much more than we'd hoped for! The common/pool area has a few arcade games that my boys loved. The pool was clean and beautiful with a huge wall of windows flanking it. The steam room was a nice touch for the grown-ups. Aside from a crazy manager lady that yelled at the people in the pool to be quiet, the staff was more than friendly and helpful. We are staying at this hotel again this weekend and we're all excited!

Hotel had great location easy to get to the mall and movie theaters plenty of places to eat nearby! However NEEDS UPDATED!!! Beds were ok but old u could tell they were old. Not bad old, but old! Pool was nice and warm! Easy to get in and out of with kids. The staff especially he gentleman the was the front desk guy when we arrived was awesome, great recommendations, and very helpful. Overall our stay was good.

The hotel is nice. It's a bit outdated but clean rooms. People were friendly and helpful. Pool is decent size. I wish they had a lifeguard or someone managing it though because adults were getting rowdy with young kids in the pool.

hotel has some roof leaks. breakfast was ok. girlfriend really liked heated pool

Room was clean and comfortable enough for the price we paid.

I was surprised when I saw this hotel only had two stars. It was great. Clean, roomy, great location and amenities. Great breakfast. I would recommend this hotel.

We were passing through & a winter storm moved in. The hotel staff made it easy for us to extend an extra day and didn't charge us the second night for a roll away bed. The breakfast was ok & on site dinner available to order was a plus too. The mall is near as well as other restaurants.

I got a room here because it was the cheapest in the area and we were looking for cheap since we were visiting colleges. Everything definitely needs an update. The room was a bit dingy, but clean. The cloth seats where we had breakfast had stains on all of them. It was the cheapest hotel in the area. The breakfast was basic, but OK.

Stayed at this motel to avoid early morning drive to airport. Very nice and clean. Staff clean. Breakfast a little sparse. I didn't use the indoor pool, but it looked very nice. The whole atrium area was nice. Good value in restaurant.

I love staying at The Grand. Price is very affordable. They offer breakfast that consist of more than just donuts and cup of coffee. It also have a indoor swimming pool. The rooms are very clean. Last but not least the staff is very courteous and friendly. I will choose The Grand anytime!!!

I booked this hotel last minute for an overnight stay in Peoria during a high school regional dance competition, most others hotels were unavailable. I was thrilled when I walked into the lobby\ oasis, swimming area located centrally in the hotel. My room was clean, smelled good, the bed (king) offered me a great night sleep, my daughter and I (she stayed at a Marriot) spend out time in the Pool at the Grand Hotel) "Way cooler" is how she put it. A welcomed surprise. The name is accurate, not boastful.

The staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean but not totally modern. Breakfast was very lite. Directions using GPS worked perfectly, and was convenient to the freeway. Arrived late and did not use the amenities. We were just passing through.

I had a very good time. The place was clean--except the elevator floor needed to be vacuumed! (Not a welcome site.) But the room was just fine. Not a flat screen TV, but a good one that worked. I liked how the weather channel popped up first. The towels were GREAT. Everything was adequate for my needs. Not great, but I really don't need that when I am attending a meeting downtown. I would definately stay there again. The room was quiet, but the towels were great.

The hotel description and list of amenities was not accurate. We were expecting to find a nice swimming pool and hot tub as advertised. Once we got there and went to use the hot tub, we discovered it no longer existed. It was boarded up and closed.

Enter the hotel elevator to go to room on 1st day of trip and was stuck in the elevator for over 30 minutes. The manager reassigned me to another room on the 1st floor and told me that he would refund my money. The toilet over flow on 2nd day. I had to call maintenance for two days before the toilet would flush correctly.

This si a re-amke of anolder hotel. They have work to do.
