This hotel met my needs. It was nothing fancy, a little dated, but I was looking for an inexpensive hotel in Washington, IL that was clean and comfortable. This accomplished this. The staff was friendly, and helpful. I would come back here.
The smoking rooms were next to the non-smoking rooms. Our non-smoking room was surrounded by smoking rooms and our bathroom smelled like smoke from the vent. It was a cheap room and I didn’t expect a lot but I did expect to not smell smoke in a non-smoking room. Seems like they could cluster the rooms better to avoid that problem.
Looking for the basics? This hotel would fit the bill. We were there on graduation weekend. Price was high for what it offered.

I arrived to the motel at about 9 after a long day. The man at the desk was helpful and a man of few words which I appreciated since I was exhausted. The room was very clean which is awesome and had a working fridge in it. I did not have the breakfast but it had cereal and other things (I didn't really look). I was out the door at 7 the next morning so it fit the bill. Clean and comfortable for a pretty good price. I would stay here again if I was in the area without hesitation.

Have stayed here in the past, staff is friendly, service is prompt, rooms are clean, lobby is adequate, location is easy to find and close to major highways.
We arrived late-thankfully the room was paid for and available still-check in went smooth. 1)Walked into the room, it was very hot-no A/C had been turned on. When set to "Auto", it did not start or work. -Called the front, they came and said it needed to be on "Low" only to work-it never turned off the entire night,,ended up being a very cold night. 2)The TV did not change channels after turning on. Its volume and "unavailable program" message worked, but no TV- too tired to call the desk again. 3)The bathroom towels and face rags were so old and rough, I would not wash my car with them-too tired and late to call and complain. Great location for what we were in town for, but overall very disappointed in the room we booked, its reviews looked much better online.
The halls reeked of smoke. Totally overwhelming. The room was clean but very basic. This is the second Super 8 stay in as many months. Not sure why Super 8 does not have shower head mounts. Both hotels just had shower head hanging there. Tried to rig a way to take a proper shower without any success and getting water all over. The continental breakfast was nothing to write home about. Why the owners don't place bread out a plate or something versus EVERYONE in the hotel reaching in the bag to grab a slice is beyond me. Where have all their hands been prior to coming down for breakfast? Probably the bathroom, wiping their kids snotty noses or changing a diaper. My last stay at ANY Super 8. This was as the adage goes, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
For the low cost ..this hotel was simple outstanding..i am a hard judge on hotel but there is nothing i can say bad ..it was way above my expectation..
Friendly staff. Room had a refridgerator,microwave & coffee maker. Comfertable beds Great value! Would stay again!
We checked in late and had a room with twin Queen beds that were nice and firm and had a great nights sleep. Next morning they had a breakfast with cereal donuts fresh fruit juice. Friendly staff will stay there next time we go to central Illinois again.
Average, staff was not very friendly, not close to any entertainment.
I was impressed with the location of this hotel..it was very clean ,and very little noise to speak of..they provided morning breakfast..parking was free and newspapers..quick sign in..my room had a plasma television..fridge ..coffee..like i said i was very impressed and the cost was reasonable $42.00 with tax..for one king size bed..,non-smoking..
My only complaint was that Illinois has a policy of NO SMOKING in hotels etc. There was one non-smoking single bed room available. So in order in stay in a non smoking room I had to pay $8 for a double room. They need to comply with state law!
This place is very run down, filthy dirty, and smells. There was a wadded up piece of toilet paper on the bathroom floor and large chunks of food under the table in the room. The sheets were threadbare. The carpeting was torn and stained. The refridgerator didn't work. The hallways smelled terribly, the carpeting was badly stained in may places, and the walls needed to be repaired and painted. The breakfast was very minimal. It's surprising that Super 8 allows their name to be put on this property-- it is not up to their standards.
This gets the job done if you want to sleep, take a shower make coffee and eat cearl for breakfast and go. The internet is very slow, but you do finally get to complete you task. The front desk staff needs to be treat you like a person, rather than acting like you are bothering them. I have traveled to this area in the past and have stayed an other hotels and found that the staff at least takes the time to smile and let you know that they would be happy to assist you if you should have any questions. The room at previous stay may have been a little more updated, but the overall experience was better since the staff at least was friendly and wanted to assist you with any questions or concerns that you had at check-in time and with a smile rather than a frown. As a business travler I would like to be greeted with a smile rather than a frown.
great location for shopping food for breakfast could be a liitle better.while in town went to a graduation that wasn't far from hotel good location for that with the cost of gas being so high.compared to other places i've stayed not bad for the cost to stay,would stay there agian next time.
