Stayed 5 nights. On 4th night, the shower died, went to reception to report. Staff said they would notify maintenance, waited for someone to fix the problem. Nobody showed up. To add insult to injury, cannot flush the toilet the following morning. Went to complain to reception again, same response, they will notify maintenance. I went out all day, in the evening, when i returned the shower was still dead, though the toilet was flushing !!. Since i was leaving the next day, did not bother going to reception again. Found out from a former school friend, this is an old hotel that closed and was refurbished, marketed as new, hence the plumbing problems. In a hot and humid place like Penang, not having a working shower is a major disaster. I do not swim so cannot use the pool.
