We stayed here one night on our way to FL. The king room was a nice size. There was a comfortable chair with an ottoman. The bathroom was a nice size with a 4 ft vanity with granite countertop. There was a mini-fridge but no microwave. The coffee pot and related products were left in the bathroom. Ugh! I moved them to the desk. Note that there is a train nearby and you will hear the whistle during the night if you're a light sleeper. The breakfast was decent. We wouldn't stay here again because there are almost no 'real' restaurants in the area. In fact, there isn't much of anything in the area. The one restaurant we found was closed because it was Sunday. We ended up going to a local Food Lion supermarket and buying a packaged sandwich (which was fresh and good).

Very nice, newer hotel with a good location. Our king room was very big and spacious, even by HI Express standards. Tiffany at check-in was an absolute delight. We found the entire hotel to be very clean, including the outside areas. Close to UNC Pembroke campus and main road where most food and grocery stores are located. This is a very rural area of NC so most of the restaurant selections are fast food chains. A BBQ restaurant is across the street but the lines were long, so we didn't have a chance to eat there.

It's a bit off the beaten track (11 miles from I-95), but it's a very nice place to stay. Comfortable beds, good fluffy towels, excellent free wi-fi. The staff is very nice. No on-site dining options, but I'd recommend it for a night

The hotel is about 10 minutes off of I-95 and well worth the few extra miles. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. Their breakfast is probably the nicest one we have encountered in this type of hotel. The choices and variety were outstanding. It was a great stay and we would certainly return.

I stayed for 1 night on business. It really looked quite new from the outside. The front desk staff were very nice & accommodating. The one concern I had was addressed immediately in a professional manner. I have no complaints. The room & bathroom were spotless. I saw no bugs of any sort as some previous folks mentioned in their reviews. I thought the WiFi was decent & the breakfast looked as good as any other HIE I have stayed at (which is many)-I only enjoyed their coffee. Really & honestly, I would stay here again. Kudos to Regina & Jeff (forgive me if I got his name wrong). They were great and as a business traveler who practically lives in hotels, trust me, you will be satisfied here. Yes. I experienced a minor problem (with the sheets) but the way the staff handled my concern was impressive. Highly recommend this hotel!

I travel extensively and always pick a Holiday Inn Express for several reasons. First, I can find a HIE wherever I go. Second, I can always count on a clean room that is always well maintained and larger than most other hotels. I had no issues with this facility and the front counter staff was pleasant. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Suggest passing on this hotel. Stayed for one night and regretted my choice. Room looks like it hadn't been renovated in 20 years. Bathroom smelled funny. Noise level was high despite very few guests. Wifi was terrible ! Appreciate that it was only $100 per night but you can do better.

The hotel seemed nice. The rooms were new-ish and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I was up late doing work on my computer in bed and heard something drop next to me. Yep, giant cockroach. Yep, I screamed like Freddy Kreuger just hopped out of the bathroom to say hi. Yep, I got the eff outta there and continued work in the lobby....all night. I was not going back up there until I had a body guard. The staff handled it well and I have no complaints there. I'm also aware that tons of hotels have this problem. I just wasn't up for snuggling that night so my small brownish winged companion was not welcome.

Booked in to this hotel for 2 days during Hurricane Matthew. Things were ok until the power went off at around 1;30 PM on our second day .We were on the 3rd floor with our 2 cats, and after spending the next 20 hours with no food at the hotel or in town, no lighting, or any other hotel services or hotel security, we decided to leave early in the morning of the third day. The hotel offered no assistance in carrying our luggage and animals down 3 flights of stairs in total darkness. There was also no backup emergency lighting that worked both in the corridors and in the staircases. I asked for a 50% credit on my bill which was refused.

I have stayed at this particular hotel 3 times now because of work. Each and every time the staff are super friendly, the art work on display is amazing, and the food is great. The owner is there most of the time, and at least one night a week his mother cooks a home cooked meal if anyone wants to partake of it. Great Great service. Love coming here. Just down home country friendly.
