Riviera Resort Pattaya3.0 out of 5.0

Room- superior/deluxe- with emperor sized bed and integral bathroom with private balcony overlooking gardens. Air conditioned with (empty) fridge and TV (no remote). Clean and tidy and adequately serviced. Staff warm and friendly- swimming pool clean with Jacuzzi feature next to bar- which was attended most of the time- and if not- reception would sort things out for you. The hotel has seen better days- but is not unacceptable for a 3*. The area around the hotel is being developed with high rise establishments- but these do not encroach to any extent. It is a 5/10 minute walk from the hotel to the main Naklua Road into Pattaya- and about 1km from the nearest beach
Pleasant place, can take a nice rest at this place. early check in is possible here, that is really good. Staff's are very kind. small room but worth for money, not much near to city, approximately 6km far from beach road of pattaya. No Wifi for free, swimming is there need to pay for that.
This hotel is in a jungle very hard to find it is away from any shop or restraunt in 1.5km when took to the rooms they was on 4th floor no elevator I asked to change because mother has bad legs they did but extra money then inside the room I thought I was in 1970 the furniture was that old the room was old and dirty the whole of the hotel needs a big refurb and paint job when we ask for food at 7 pm they said restraunt closed to be honest if the rooms was free I would not go back there
I loved the large bed, nice staff and most of all the quiet surrounding. When i were here i found this hotel kind of homely. The staff were all clearly competent and I felt the staff perfectly friendly and acted in a professional manner. The room were clean and the location is superb - because i like quiet surroundings resort. Is a bit far to walk out to the main road but the receptionist will call for you a motor taxi outside, and they will come in and pick you in less a min. I would definately recommend this hotel. But i think is time to change some old funitures and the wifi is abit slow.
Nice and cozy ,easy ,friendly, quite ,every thing close by good food, clean beds, pool heated ,bars nearby ,not to far from beach but taxis not hard to find, yes I would certainly go back and stay another week or two
I approached the resort today 18 march and realized that just in front they are making a huge building of 20 or more floors. So quite noisy during the day time. So I decided to go to the pool but unfortunatly some guest have bring a hi-fi portable speakerks with loud tecno music all the time uncaring of other guests. I try to protested gently with the staff of the resort but they didnt care at all about it. The manager and or the owner was not around so I could not enjoy the pool time.
Overall this hotel/resort is a pleasant place to stay provided you want to be away from the rough and tumble of Beach Rd and nearby which is inconvenient to reach. The gardens and pool area are lovely, the staff are pleasant and helpful when they can understand what you are talking about in Englishand. The menu and drinks are very reasonably priced. The Executive Suite which I stayed in was OK ,somewhat dated but the furnishings and bedding was good. The big downfall was the toilet, bathroom and shower. It gave the appearance of being dirty and uncared for. Regular maintenance seems to be neglected; for example the airconditioner struggled against the heat and a quick investigation revealed that the filters had not been cleaned for years. Overall this resort is satisfactory, somewhat dated but just OK and only just reasonable value. Those fussy about their bathroom/toilet should keep away.
Righty then. I loved this place. The rooms are a bit retro but they are clean and made up daily. I stayed on ground floor chalet opposite bar. Shower sufficient and air con working fine. TV good, plenty of channels for those chill nights in. I think I was the only English guy there. More German and Russian resort but didnt bother me. Generally a friendly bunch of guests during my stay. The staff were very friendly regardless of day or night. Their English not too hot but good enough... I'm not looking for deep conversation so ordering food and saying hello etc is no probs. same anywhere really. The pool is absolutely lovely, there was always a spot available during my stay and plenty of tables n chairs dotted round too. The hotel food was great too, I only eat the Thai food anyway and found it more than satisfying. You can laze round the pool and have food and drink brought over to you. The service was great and always with a smile. wi-fi available nearly all over and plenty fast enough. Would definitely go back. Solo traveller
very good french place in pattaya, clean and affordable, nothing to compare with windy inn in walking street another french place dirty, noisy and discusting and unpolied hotel, i wrote a review on it which was never published. better to stay in riviera resort, near the beach and more quiet place.
we had tough time communicating with this Hotel staff as they hardly understood/spoke English. Hotel staff showed us a room, we were not very happy with room (It was very clean, but not posh/luxury as seen in photos). We asked him to show much superior room, he took us to 4th floor(No Elevator). We realised its same kind of room with only tiny water tub as difference.(That restroom is tooo small to have tub i would say). We decided to take the first room as it dint made sense to pay more, and climb 4 floors, just for extra tiny tub. It was around 10:45am, when we finally checked in. We took shower and took rest for couple of hours. But next day we were happy when we saw less crowd in Swimming pool. Over all i could rate it as 1/2 star hotel. But yes its clean enough....
