I had the pleasure of living three weeks at this hotel during my trip to Pattaya. Pros: -Friendly and helpful staff -Decent pool area -Nice location -Distant from the road -Decent breakfast -Nice balcony -Nice variety of guest nationalities (i.e. something for everyone) Cons -A little expensive compared to the level of comfort Overall a very nice experience.
Sadly my 2nd negative review this year. Advertisement looked enticing. should have read the small print. Last updated in 2005 ........... Travel Bag were the agents offering a package using this location. OK for back packers where expectation are as low as the prices they want to pay. I can only describe it as a BUTLINS circa 1970's en SWAMP. Dirty everything even the best room. Virtually nil English spoken. Went to Thialand for a Nephews wedding at the Sun, Sand, Sea Resort down the coast 45 minuets after arriving at the Loma (is not a Spa or Resort) rooms. Use the more obvious 4* hotels near by if you don't want to be bitten to death by midges, moskito's or bed lice .......... you have been advised ..........
Hi, since 2 years now, I come to this hotel regularly and I am still very please by the quality of the reception, the staff, the pool and the room. Very close to the beach and easy to catch taxi to get to night life in Pattaya...I stay in this hotel again few days ago and I can say that this place is getting better and you want to stay alone, with family and friends, for the price you will pay, I really recommend this resort for a nice and a pleasant time. However, few things need to get improved but I can say that after 2 years coming here, I can see changes in a positive way. ENjoy your stay at Loma Resort!
I stay loma resort 5 time very good staff front very good help . Old room but it is suitable for the price. i come loma for Relaxing because it is a quiet hotel. The atmosphere is beautiful Squirrels run around the trees look happy then.
Old style heritage resort... loved the chirping of birds during day time. Swimming pool is nicely placed at the center of resort, not under direct sun light, which is perfect for those who want to avoid direct heat. But the resort people are racist. They believe in preferential treatment. So, expect less from people but more from infrastructure/ nature. If you consider walking from the main road, then its bit away. You can bring food from the main street shops. Food is bit expensive as Menu has limited options. If you are part of the group, then you can have nice, gossiping, laid back lunch at their open restaurant. But dinner is not suggested there due to mosquitoes, dark ambiance and early closing habit of dining hall. Bon voyage!!
Hi; I know this hotel this 2 years and it is a very nice place to stay in Pattaya: this hotel is very well located, close to the beach and close to big road to catch motorbike or collective taxis to go to enjoy the city day or night, very quiet place to stay for a week end or longer and cheap rates for the rooms comparing to the others hotels. Since 2 years now, the hotel iis continually renovated and I can see the improvement every time I stay there. This hotel has nice room clean and big, television and air con work properly, fridge well provided and very nice view on the pool for most of the rooms..The staff is very gentle, welcomed and always ready to help or to advice you for anything. I would say that Loma hotel is a nice hotel and I never forget that the service and the quality depend also how much you can expect to have for the price you want to pay: it is why I reoommand this hotel for those want to have a nice and quiet time in Pattaya or also for people want to enjoy the night life in Pattaya and relax quietly after during the day near this beautiful swimming pool; also everything always need to improve to be better and it is exactly what Loma is trying to do so...
We were back here again and happy to return! The lovely swimming pool, green garden, rich breakfast, golf cart service and friendly staff are still the same. WIFI working better than last time. Although the hotel outdated but value for money.
Booked this hotel for location to be near friends, I was shocked at the state of the place, if I could have afforded it I would have moved on the first day, what a run down place, the rooms are just falling apart literally, wardrobe doors hanging off, holes in the bath, curtains hanging down. The pool is just dirty cloudy water and we were the only Brits in the hotel, the hotel seemed just for Russian's and as there were hardly any sun loungers it was very difficult to beat them to a sunbed, I actually saw some putting their towels out at 6.30 am, Now trust me, I have seen better breakfast's at soup kitchens, not catered for British people at all, it is a health hazard, nothing covered and nothing on ice is, fresh fruit, salad and yoghurt, first my wife sat down she got an exposed nail in her leg of the ramshackle chair. I am not exaggerating, this is an honest opinion, Do not go there, it will ruin your holiday.
Having stayed at the Centara before in Pattaya, my wife and I decided to try something a bit different this time and plumped for Loma Resort and Spa. It's fabulous. Like the city itself, the hotel is unpretentious with some real charm. It may be quite old, but the hot water is fine, the pool fantastic and the food incredibly good value for money as it's got a great mix of Thai traditional along with some Western favourites. I see that some have accused the staff of being rude, this was not my experience. They might lack the language skills of a place like the Centara but they try and work incredibly hard. Location is great as well, you've got a lovely pool on the door step and you can easily walk into town (although there's a great bar, the 'Happy Bar' in the doorstep with a fab classic rock covers band on every night). If you've chosen Pattaya for a stay than you'll presumably looking for some good old fashioned fun in the sun. The price of this hotel is incredible and suitable for families, couples of all ages etc. It's full booked from the 18th Feb so the secret is out but would definitely go back
Of all the budget hotels we have stayed at, this one takes the price. Poolwater dirty. No towels at pool, had to go get one from the lobby. Drinks by the pool were supposed to have alcohol in them, we tasted non. Cockroaches in room, mold around bathtub and shower curtains. Lived at some semi-undergroud floor, loud noise from people running in and out from rooms from midnight to 5am. Street outside hotel was stinking from all the foodwaste and garbage that littered the area. Do avoid this place at all cost.
