We stay here with our three young kids on the way to visit family about twice per year. It's convenient, well-run and perfect for families as they have connecting rooms. The restaurant is fine and the service in the bar and reception is efficient. Good value for money. There's an unheated pool open in the summer.
Comfortable rooms and modern facilities in the motel with a large shopping precinct offering a wide range of variety stores opposite the motel. Other options exist for eating out around the area if required.
An affordable (reduced prices for Accord card holders!) nice clean place 300 km from home, suitable for a one night stopover on our way to and/or from our holidays, recently refurbished, free Wifi, airconditioning, in room small fridge and coffee making facilities, free enclosed parking. We also stayed there when visiting Lens-Louvre Museum some years ago.
Good location, just over an hour from Calais area. Hotel is a typical Novotel, which I consider a good thing; free parking, outdoor pool, comfortable room, on site bar and restaurant. This hotel is situated on the edge of a commercial park, convenient for shopping. Easy short drive to Lens or Arras.
We chose Lens as our base for exploring the WWI sites and cemeteries in the area. Noyelles-Godault is right outside Lens and a big box store area. Vimy Ridge is only 15 minutes away and there is a lot of history within 45 minutes. There are a multitude of restaurants close but although the maze of round a bouts make some a bit tricky to find. We stayed with our two boys so the room was a little cozy. Essentially the moved out one queen bed and put in two singles. Effective for a good night sleep after a busy day. The entire facility was clean and even the pool had chemical levels noted so we felt good about the hotel. Pool was a little cool but so was the weather. As our boys a diehards they swam even in the rain. There is no elevator but only two floors. Breakfast was included if memory serves and the offering did not disappoint. They even had gluten free bread and muffin type pastries - a rarity in France from our brief experience.
An installed airco doesnt function. The beds are looking nice, however too soft = backpain. The breakfast is more than ok, except for the coffee: black; cheap and bitter. Fresh fruit, yummie scrambles eggs. The hotel is ok for 1 night
We stayed one night on a long weekend jaunt to France. The hotel was good generally. Free parking, decent room, fridge, good bed. Reception spoke English and were very welcoming. The problem came at the restaurant where we struggled to find anyone who wanted to help. The outside eating area is very nice so we were looking forward to an evening meal. We arrived and hung around outside for a while and finally decided to sit ourselves at a table. We then had to call a waiter to get menus. After deciding on what to order we had to wait ages and finally called a waiter again to take the order. After about 50 minutes we gave up waiting for the food and informed reception we were leaving to go to our room. I would still recommend the hotel as it was really very good but they have a service problem.
Nice hotel with plenty of surroibding restaurant. Good service. Late dinner and bar. It is worth stay if you are in the area. Nice service at international level. Great breakfast with buffet . You would be happy. Check the price since can vary a lot
Once again I stayed here to break the journey between Burgundy and the Tunnel. The room had been recently refurbished to provide a wet room. The idea was good but the execution was poor. The water from the shower did not drain away well leaving the floor wet and slippery. As there was no separate loo, this presented a problem. The staff were very efficient and attentive. The had new uniforms of white tennis shoes, jeans and white shirt and blue braces. I really feel that braces are not a fashion item, but if used should be concealed under a jacket. The food was good. There is plenty of on site parking.
Well placed, comfortable with good staff. Restaurant team excellent. Hotel has has a cosmetic makeover very recently and it all looks bright and clean. Even the railings round the car park have been replaced.
