Excellent location next to Hangar Lane tube station so it takes only 20 minutes to get into central London. Rooms were spacious, always clean and tidy. I loved the towel warmer device. Full marks to the breakfast team who always delivered excellent, prompt service. Definitely do not recommend the pancakes, however, the omelette is very good. And the eggs were always done perfectly (poached, boiled, sunny-side up).
With car parking, albeit limited, and a stones throw from the tube this makes a good bolt hole for London for ease of access from the west and onwards travel to town. The reception is very modern and clean and the staff very welcoming but I found the bedrooms a little tired with signs of wear and tear with damage and stains evident. The bedding etc was excellent and the bathroom clean so no complaints there but the general condition felt a bit tired by comparison to other hotels I have stayed in locally. Time for a lick of paint? I also felt the insulation between rooms was a little low as your neighbours movements from TV watching, going to the loo and other 'hotel activities' are clearly audible. We went down for dinner but having waited for an age to be served by the staff who were trying valiantly to cope with the number of people in the bar we opted for a walk and a meal at a curry house a shortish walk away. The design of the hotel is such that you will be tempted by the food from wherever you are as the smell of food travels up the open central stairs to all floors and certainly I could smell cooked breakfast in the morning in my room. Maybe a positive although I am sure some would not see it that way. All in all not as good as other examples from this brand although this is more about fabric than staff who were all excellent. For a night or 2 in London it is a good option for business and a spot of town travel but not one for a romantic get away.
Stayed here with family for the London Comic con. Unfortunately we didn't get the Feature Club room that we had booked. But the hotel staff made sure we were given a very nice room instead, and didn't charge us for the parking. The staff in the club lounge have to be commended, they did a awesome job of making you feel welcome. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, so cannot comment on that. We had some of the continental breakfast in the club lounge. The room we had was very clean with a large bed and sofa bed for our son. Separate dressing area and plenty of bathroom towels and amenities. All the staff we came across were wonderfully polite and helpful. Hangar Lane station was easily accessed via the subway, and the hotel has lots of car parking paces and only £13 per night. Would stay here again, has the rate was quite cheap, and centre of London not too long a tube ride.
I recently stayed at Crowne Plaza for a one night trip to London. The only thing I can grumble about is the price for one night, it was quite on the expensive side and is why I'm only giving 4/5. The hotel has all the basics, there wasn't anything I needed that it didn't have, it's clean welcoming and comfy which is what I look for in a hotel. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.
3 night stay on business. Lovely hotel, comfortable beds, great breakfasts and dinner. Plenty of car parking on site too. Hotel is right opposite Hanger Lane tube station so ideal to get into town. Would happily stay again.
Having stayed at the hotel for 3 nights per week for nearly 2 years I feel its time to go public. Over the time here it's an extremely rare event when I have been upgraded despite being a Spire member for a considerable amount of time. This week I've been dumped in a tired room with cracked toilet seat , trim coming off the wall and really inadequate air conditioning. Maybe its the fact I was offered an exorbitant corporate rate and have chosen to book via the advance purchase at a considerable saving but who knows!!
The trip was combined to match our 17th wedding anniversary and a trip to watch Adele at wembley on the 1st of July. The hotel is extremely easy to find outside of hanger lane tube station. The reception were friendly and our rooms are exactly what you expect from IHG clean and very pleasant. We ate at the restaurant and pub and both meals were excellent. Although the bar staff could be a little more engaging but were very polite and attentive. Although disappointed that Adele cancelled the concert our stay at the crowne plaza was excellent with an excellent breakfast. Would stay there again. Even on a busy interchange we had no problem sleeping and could hear no noise travel.
We usually stay in central London on our theatre trips but they wanted a ridiculous amount this time so we decided to stay at the Crowne Plaza which was an excellent choice. It's about 100 metres from Hanger Lane station which is on the Central line so straight into the West End. Easy parking at the hotel at £13.50 a day so much cheaper and no congestion charge. The hotel is a typical Crowne Plaza, standard size rooms, very comfy beds and pillows and an excellent breakfast. Our room at the back was very quiet. A couple of niggles, they forgot our morning paper and the cleaners tried to enter the room to clean while we were still in bed.
Lovely hotel, rooms ok, didn't book breakfast but had it on the last day, glad we did it was delicious. Very well laid out. Tube station just across the road. Friendly staff, Views not brilliant motorway one side and people's garden's the other. Would recommend this hotel it was ideal for London.
Good hotel. Rooms are small but expected in London. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Parking is not free. Breakfast is extra charges and need more and better variations. 1 minute walk to underground station.
