We recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in Paris and stayed at the Hotel Splendid Royal Paris. From our well appointed suite to the excellent restaurant on-site, Hotel Splendide Royal Paris offers a wonderful boutique experience you’d expect from a Paris luxe hotel. The central location made it easy to walk to many museums and sites. The Hotel is very charming and the Staff is really professional and helpful. This was the perfect place for our stay in Paris and we plan on staying there again on our next visit to Paris. Highly recommend.

I would give the hotel a rating of 3.8/5 on account of my extended stay and some issues the hotel has. For short term stays, or stays without kids, the hotel could be given rates between 4.5 or 5. The hotel is very well located. The staff (concierge specially) is extraordinarily attentive and genuinely helpful (not common). The rooms are also well decorated and confy. I paid for two adjoining rooms. The problem is room service. Any 5 star hotel should guarantee 24 hour room service and a decent menu of international options. The Splendide does not. We came in August and they told us the restaurant was closed and they did not have any evening food offering. That we could order from a food app and they can help deliver the food to the room (we did and with some UBER issues). Other thing: breakfast menu quite limited and they would charge separately for things like omelette. Gym. No offer inside. In the webpage they offer they can arrange nearby. I inquired and the price was €55 per HOUR!!! No exercise then. Also TV rooms are set so as to prevent you from watching streaming TV. Other recent hotels I stayed in even offer now Apple Tv s for free (the case of Four Seasons); others offer DVDrs with connection to Netflix and other streaming services or Tv preloaded with the application. It is really a thing of the past to not let your guests use any kind of connectivity (I tried several of my appliances and they not work given the blocking devices attached to the TV.

We have been to Paris many times and have stayed at the “big name” 5-Star hotels. I found the Royale Splendide on a web search and am glad I did. Everything about this hotel is fabulous. From the minute you enter the small, intimate lobby, to the personal service, to the suites. All 5-Star+++.

WOW is all I need to say. You MUST stay here. It started with planning - the concierge staff was very responsive to my various email inquiries. Upon arrival at CDG, our driver (as recommended by hotel) whisked us to his luxury car. It was clean, comfortable with fresh water and the WSJ. Arrival at hotel we were met and our luggage taken. The hotel is sooo beautiful and tasteful. It is very intimate. The staff was waiting for us. They introduced themselves and after formality of checking in, showed us to our room. We were given the most beautiful room we have ever stayed in. (we often stay in suites at luxury properties) The details of the room were endless: spacious, comfortable sitting area; wet bar with Nespresso, tea and microwave; a half bath; a balcony with view of the Eiffel Tower. The bed was so comfortable and bathroom more than spacious. Closet and drawer space were ample for our 9-day stay. There was also a separate vanity area. The room had every necessity imaginable. Very large by Paris standards. Evening turn-down service was a welcome touch as we tiredly returned for the night. The restaurant for breakfast was sumptuous. Breakfast in-room was an option as well. The restaurant staff was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Not to miss is dinner at TOSCA. The concierge team always went above and beyond to insure we had everything we needed. They made additional reservations for us, purchased museum tickets and recommended restaurants and additional sights. They chatted with us each morning before our Paris adventures and again as we returned to hear about our day. They did everything they could to insure we had the most wonderful Paris experience. Thanks to the entire staff for making our first Paris visit so very special.

This hotel is honestly amazing. The staff were so lovely & helpful - from reception to breakfast staff. The room was beautiful, large, with all the luxuries! The sheets were so soft & the bed was large & comfortable. The location is great, right near Champs-Elysées but in a quiet street which doesn’t feel touristy at all. The complementary snacks & wine at evening time was such a lovely touch & breakfast in our room was divine! It’s a small hotel which we loved, kept it intimate & quiet. We will definitely be coming back to this amazing hotel.

Wow, wow, wow....what a truly wonderful place this is. From the moment you arrive the staff cannot be more helpful. Then you get to your room...wowsers, we stayed in room 502 (A junior suite) and it was wonderful. Cannot stress enough how lovely the room was but sat on the balcony at 11 pm with a view of the Eiffel Tower all lit up was just so so beautiful and having this place as a base was amazing. Its a great location too, we like walking so for us...perfect, the Champs de Elysse was 5 mins away, the louvre was a 20 min walk through the park, The river just a 10 min walk...so so cool. Even if you want to go further afield, the metro is so good (And safe) in Paris you can get around in no time. We walked to most places but also used the metro to get to MontMartre for the day and also the moulin rouge at night. So easy and the hotel staff are super helpful when explaining how to get around it made life so much easier for us. The breakfast was lovely, all you need and more really (pastries, fruit bowls, scrambles egg and bacon with toast, bread, juice...list goes on) The area around the hotel is super safe (That said we loved every part of Paris we went too and never ever felt remotely threatened) Summing up - iff you want a perfect base for a city break to Paris you would be hard pushed to find a better hotel, superb service, superb location and beautiful rooms. 5 star from me :)

What a fabulous time we had at the Splendide Royal. The suite was spacious and well appointed. The service, excellent and friendly. I would definitely come back there at our next visit to Paris. Thank you for your hospitality and personalized service. M. Park

We stayed at this hotel for four nights after a long three weeks of traveling. It was the perfect way to end our trip. The suite was large, immaculate, comfortably furnished, and felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. The location was centrally located with much within walking distance. There are the road blocks on Saturdays and police to consider since the property is near the Presidents home but it also made us feel very safe, especially at night since we walked to dinner a few times. It was very quiet at night. Every single staff member was the most friendly and helpful we have ever met. It was as if I had asked them to hang the moon in my room they would have figured out how to do so. The restaurant Tosca was wonderful for breakfast and a lovely spot for dinner with very good food. This was an exceptional experience and we felt like we were leaving family when we came home. We highly recommend the Hotel Splendide Royal and this fantastic group of people helmed by Mr. Benoit Saudemont who was just as charming and welcoming as his team.

We only stayed one night here on our way out of town, after a vacation in Bordeaux. We will definitely be back. Quite expensive but you get what you pay for in all respects. High quality, very large room. Great location. Great service. Splendid indeed!

We loved this place. It was the nicest hotel room I have ever stayed in! We generally choose the Four Seasons when we travel but this was better. The room had two bathrooms, a large sitting room and a separate bedroom. The bathtub was huge and they left you bath salts and chocolates each night. They were so personable and helped us with every reservation to anywhere we wanted to go. We would simply go downstairs and they would get us tickets, dinners, transportation, ect. We had breakfast brought to our room each morning. I would suggest to bring “dress clothes” because we were limited on where we could eat and go because my husband needed a suit coat and dress pants. Paris is very proper. We ate at a restaurant a the Le Bristol and it was the best meal I have even eaten. The food in Paris is so good everywhere even the cafes on the corners. We walked everywhere from the hotel. The shopping is very high end everywhere but the Main Street is just around the corner. We were shopping for a LV handbag and we walked to 5 different LV stores. The LV handbags were much less expensive than in the US and you can get the tax refunded to you at the airport. I was amazed at the availability of luxury items. Go on the river ride at night, its beautiful. Get a skip the line ticket for Palace of Versailles (the upgraded one). Skip the Big Bus Tour it was a waste of time. This was our first time in Paris and we loved it!
